What if I plan on selling like accounts to computer games or currency in video games? How would I go about that in a secure fashion?

Sorry that's actually out of my area of expertise. I know the steadfast rule here is "if it's illegal, it's not allowed", so if you're trying to sell cracked games or access to hacked accounts I wouldn't even recommend trying (I'm NOT saying that you are). IF it's something that YOU own and can re-sell legally? Then just use escrow as I mentioned above and try to put potential buyers minds at ease with the transaction is the best way to approach it. I have seen issues here recently with people selling game accounts and then reclaiming them after the sale, so I'm not sure how long the "dispute process" is for these game accounts or anything, so maybe agree to allow escrow to hold funds for "x" number of days after the sale is complete maybe? Just do your best to PROVE you actually own the goods you're selling and that you're not looking to sell & reclaim, and you should be fine.

I'm new to this Bitcoin talk thing, I'd like to sell some electronic goods but I'm not sure exactly how to get a good rep with the people on here. Can anyone help me?

Use TRUSTED Escrow of bitcointalk for any transaction ( list of trusted escrows is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0 )

Accept Bitcoin

If you're selling PHYSICAL Electronic Goods?

Put a post-it or some kind of label with your bitcointalk username on it with any pictures provided of the actual items you're selling.

Just purchased this ebook and I must say it's very well written, and the list of sites and resources alone was worth the price.

There was a couple sites listed that I had NO IDEA about, but if I had? Would have saved me a lot of TIME!

I  LOVE  K N O W L E D G E more than anything else, and this book provides that for sure.

The ONLY regret I have? I wish I would have purchased this LAST Year.

I come across accounts like this sometimes while surfing the forum...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=352429

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=98536

and it seems these users are able to change their usernames.  Not trying to single out these particular two accounts, I have seen others, but came across these tonight.

So I'm just curious as to how this is possible?

I know that certain accounts are able to do this, like donors and admins, but these accounts do not seem to be labeled as such, so just figured I'd ask.

Thanks in advance for your replies

Got my lucky coin Round 4 today.   Smiley

I was feeling a little "lucky" tonight and decided to peel Round 2 + Round 3 since I know Round 4 isn't a winner and I won't be peeling it.

The news is . . . Round 2 coin 0.01BTC . . . . . . but the Round 3 coin had 1.01BTC!!

Round 1 + 2 are still unclaimed and I'm looking forward to Round 5.   Grin

Congrats, very cool and thanks for sharing!   Grin

For the others, week 1-3 is still unclaimed I believe.

No problem! Yeah I'm not sure, week #4 was my first week, but I can assure you the contest is 100% legit :-)

Congratulations! I do now have a intact lucky coin, which is nice as well I suppose. Grin

Yeah I feel you man, that's how it is for me 90% of the time in contests! I might have to go out and buy a lottery ticket tonight or something also :-)

Congratulations!! Its the first one that posted that has a winner coin, the winner coins from other weeks remain unopened.

Thanks! It was the first time I have ever purchased a physical coin also, and gravitate was real helpful answering my newbie'esque questions :-) I pealed the hologram stick off the little paper (not the back of the coin sticker) and was like "hey I don't see a private key here"...lol Very cool contest, and the coin is really nice too! I play in some small poker tournaments locally here a few times a year, and will now use this coin as my "LUCKY Card Protector" :-)

*Edited to add responses, and to avoid unnecessary additional posts.

OMG I WON !!!

COIN #4 WEEK #4 WINNER !!!

Thanks so much for running this "LUCKY COIN" contest, it could not have come at a better time.

I will be using the WINNINGS to finish some smaller site development projects for our charity Donate Media, which I had put on hold for lack of funds.

I 1000% VOUCH for the fairness of this contest, cause I never win anything usually...lol

So if I'm able to WIN? ANYONE Truly Can :-)

THANKS AGAIN!

P.S. Put me down for next week please, spot #4 if possible :-)
