I would suggest not moving a big amount, my $90 arrived in two days
$90?!?
Are you inside Japan? Otherwise, the wire fee would eat that up.

great... so I am the only one here that's not paid back.
23  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: November 08, 2013, 05:37:25 PM
which date is the lastest withdrawal of USD from Mtgox?

 Huh

Latest without the emergency fee would probably be from June or July. For all practical purposes that queue is not progressing. Latest with the 5% fee is probably a few weeks old.
Regular USD withdraw I am still waiting from June and still nothing
5% fee withdraw I am waiting for 3 weeks, and still nothing

So, it can take forever.
24  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mtgox manual withdrawal with extra 5% fee? on: October 18, 2013, 04:33:43 PM
I found the thread on reddit few months back and contact mtgox about this.

They proceeded with the withdrawal for 5% fee. Took a week and a half to receive in my US bank

So have you arbitraged between Stamp and Gox since finding this loophole?
I am sitting on over 2 weeks, and still NOTHING.
25  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: October 15, 2013, 06:11:40 PM
To which date of usd wire requests they have gotten?
Or if you have got an usd wire from them soon, when did you place the request.
I'm waiting for over 3 months now and trying to figure out if my turn is coming soon

They are not processing standard SWIFT USD Withdraws. Unless you pay the 5%, there's no withdraw option for US customers ATM.

Even if you pay the 5%, you still don't get your money.
26  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox - Oct 15...demand official update on: October 11, 2013, 06:21:34 PM
If people are still trying to dodge the 5% cost overhead and have been waiting for 4-12 weeks and still no joy

Dont they think its time to look at the risk that they are engaging in and just take the 5% hit as a life lesson

Shit... things happen I would get out of gox ASAP .......SR Gone..... GOX GONE ... has a nice ring to it ??

Problem is... even with me paying their 5% extra cost, they still wouldn't send the money.
I am thinking they will announce a 100% extra cost.
27  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e USD Deposits not working on: October 11, 2013, 05:39:05 PM
Okpay does not accept new U.S. customers.
AWESOME.... I guess they finally figured nobody in the US wants their business anymore.. They are the worst scammers
28  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e USD Deposits not working on: October 11, 2013, 05:38:18 PM
how long does the OKpay option take to deposit?  i.e. from OKPay to BTC-e.  Is it really instantaneous?

OKPay to BTC-e is instant.  The somewhat difficult part is getting money into OKPay.
DO NOT... I repeat... DO NOT send money to OKPAY.
They are the biggest scam.
I sent them $1500 or so (forgot exactly how much), and it took them MONTHS to credit into my account. And when they did, they credit $1200 and say that's all the money they received.
I confirmed with my bank, and my bank says okpay got the entire $1500. Asked OKPay about this and asking them to provide prove of how much they received, and they would not do that.

DO NOT... I repeat... DO NOT send money to OKPAY.
29  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: October 11, 2013, 04:57:32 PM
So I have been trying to withdraw with their new 5% fee.
Still nothing......
30  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Yifu so there is no deals for Batch 3 customers? on: October 10, 2013, 06:09:50 PM
So an upgrade module is 3.8BTC, or a 4 module unit is 15.

Wow.  So B3 will never make ROI, and being a loyal Avalon customer seems to have no reward.

I would think 50-75% off the current price advertised price would be nice... though even getting another one free wouldn't be enough to save B3 customers.
How much was B3? None from B3 shipped?
31  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: imsaguy's Enormously Interesting Extended Investment Opportunity on: October 10, 2013, 02:13:36 PM
Having been repeatedly been screwed by shipping delays, services failing to deliver, an ever rising difficulty (and expected further jump once the the major manufacturers actually start shipping), and the market price for coins climbing at a seemingly astronomical rate as of late, I must start paying people in USD weighted coin.  I've been paying back coins as quickly as possible and yet the USD value of coins is climbing much faster than I can generate/work off and buy coins each month.  I've sold assets to help payback but I'm to the point where there's not much left to sell and that which is left, won't be very well valued when accounting for USD->BTC.

There are currently 7 creditors remaining.  I will take their balances as of today and value them at a Gox 24hr Avg of $150/coin and continue to pay towards their amount due each month.  I will pay people in the coin equivalent valued via the Gox 24hr avg each Sunday at 12:00p CST beginning next Sunday.  While some debtors have opted to attempt to disappear or value the coins based upon when they were deposited (for me, its been about a 15x-30x value increase from deposit to today), I'll continue to pay to make everyone whole as best as I am able.
I am not seeing any payments

33  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are people still using gox when there is no way to withdraw on: September 10, 2013, 03:14:01 PM
Because if you are in Japan you can still withdraw. It's just international wires that doesn't work.
But what I don't understand is, why can't they withdraw JPY internationally? That makes no sense.
You can, but it's by SWIFT transfer, which takes forever @ gox. Its only the japanese domestic transfers that are going quickly.

Gox reps told me that it is impossible to withdraw JPY to another country.
So another reason to believe Gox is on track to steal people's BTC and $$.
Who knows when Gox would announce JPY withdraw within japan is suspended??

And some withdraws are coming through, its really just USD withdraws that are having issues. The SEPA EUR transfers queue seems to be getting shorter and shorter.
I asked them to withdraw via JPY, and they said NO. So my impression is they have no money at all.

JPY withdrawals working.
You mean working as in you can withdraw JPY into a country besides Japan? Or it only works with withdrawals inside Japan?
My bank an accept JPY currency, but Gox says they don't send any JPY outside of the country.

Per topic, why are people still using mtgox when there is no way to withdraw your money?
38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy on BTC-E and Sell on MTGOX on: August 14, 2013, 08:38:48 AM
I think the real reason big money people (those that have say, $100,000 or more to play with Bitcoin) aren't exploiting this (because 10% in your timeframe is an EXCELLENT return) is the risk, risk, risk - of having that money move through so many unregulated and untrustworthy locations (BTC-E for example, I love em' don't get me wrong, but lets face it for American's it's very abstract, and partly written in Russian  Wink ) and than MtGox unknowns, cash transfer freezes, banking concerns, etc.

It's all a risk/reward premium, and 10% is worth it to a lot of people so it must be 10% risky...

Cheers for doing this though, excellent to see it in action.

Once GOX bites the dust, I honestly believe the arbitrage will be left to sub-pennies very quickly as new exchanges come online that are more like "real-world" exchanges.

PS. If I wasn't paranoid about hvaing MtGox freeze the account, or my US Bank Accounts frozen, or closed, I'd call up a personal friend and say: "Hey you want 10% every two weeks? Give me a $1,000,000 cash. I'll prove it to you and I'll throw in $100k myself!" but like I said, your bank account gets frozen there goes $1 million of my friends money, and $100k of my own...and if that's easy to get 10% than you gotta think about the realization that the operation is REALLY RISKY  Huh
Agree, especially now that Gox haven't processed USD withdrawals for 2 months.
39  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy on BTC-E and Sell on MTGOX on: August 14, 2013, 08:36:19 AM
Did you wire to OK Pay from your bank account or MtGox?

Because if it's from your bank account then the loop isn't closed. My bank charge $15 to receive a wire. Or maybe it's possible to do MtGox --> OK Pay --> BTC-E directly?

Great experiment. Thanks for sharing.

Ahh true.  I wasn't really thinking about closing the loop.

The initial payment was a $1000.00 bank wire to okpay from my US Citibank account at a cost of $30.00.

You know I didn't think of this but now I have to get cash back to btc-e or out back out to my bank account for additional fees!  UGH.

But I'll probably just but more bitcoin.
Assuming OKPAY did not charge you crazy fee.
I once did a wire of $2000, on top of what my bank charges, OKPAY charges me around $200. Opened multiple support tickets, and they could not explain why the crazy high fees.
40  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Withdrawing BTC from MTgox 'Invalid bitcoin address, please confirm your input' on: August 14, 2013, 08:30:32 AM
i am also not able to withdraw. mtgox -> one time tested -> never again
i tried to do a little abitrage.. Cheesy its not even worth if there is 50 USD difference between prices to other exchanges.

My guess is that with the consistent >10$ difference everyone's trying some arbitrage at the moment, hence the exhaustion of the hot wallet! :O
How is that?
With Gox price higher, people would want BTC to be IN gox, so they can sell high.
But what I don't get is, how are these people getting the USD out?! Since there is almost no way to withdraw USD from Gox.
