421  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bot trading domination: Time to panic? on: January 08, 2020, 07:25:24 AM
The subject of this thread is kind of absurd. It is somehow like "the market is dumping: time to panic?" I mean, why panic? Is that even an option? What now if the trading platforms are dominated by bots? Is that something new around here? That has been the reality even before. Furthermore, they are not as brilliant as a trader who does the trading manually. In fact we can manipulate trading bots more than they can manipulate us.

perhaps of concern is the effect of increasing the use of bots with more accurate algorithms. in fact the bot currently still has a weak point and cannot respond to all conditions automatically, it is still limited to tools that cannot handle strong swings, if the bot is not proven to interfere with other stock market activities that are clearly quieter than the crypto market, then there is no need to panic.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Preferred altcoin for bullrun? on: January 08, 2020, 04:34:29 AM
Seems like we have started heading towards one more bull run now, as the value of most of the crypto has increased by almost $800 and those who have already missed out the bull run of 2017 will consider this as an opportunity. But which will be your favorite altcoin to invest this time? It was Ripple and ETH last time which rocked throughout the bull run last time but this time will it be the same or some other coin like TRON and XLM or else a different altcoin?

I am more convinced that the top altcoins such as the coins that you mentioned will still be the ones that will rock this bull run. ETH, XRP, LTC, XLM are going to be the altcoins that will benefit more on this current bull run. Of course, so many altcoins will be rising due to this bull season but we all know that the top altcoins are always the leaders.

The four coins you mentioned will indeed increase strongly, there are some things that I saw during the last bullrun where bch and btg will start the first spark increase after bitcoin, and then followed by the top 5 altcoins at that time. I also consider trx and bnb as new players who will definitely take part in breaking into the top ranking at the same time.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run or Bull Trap on: January 08, 2020, 04:11:02 AM
I wouldn't short.

Even if there was to be a dump, you can't time it perfectly. And taking out a short position would mean that your position could get liquidated way before you even see any signs of bearishness come back into the market, especially when BTC just breached $8k.

So no, I think this is a legitimate bull run. Perhaps this isn't the bull market yet, but this is definitely the start of one.

the level of consolidation is still awake and many people want to consider choosing short if the movement starts to slow down, the sudden increase still has a correction threshold, and I think it will at least return to 7800 on the weekly closing chart, or jump directly above 9k, this trend is good enough to enlarge strengthening sentiment and minimizing the possibility to drop below 7k.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Is Manipulated on: January 07, 2020, 12:16:13 PM
As of my knowledge and experience, Bitcoin and its market cannot be manipulated by someone or even a group of people because the market and BTC's price is defined by the trades and volume of it, especially the holders. Hence, even there are someone with big BTC and sells it low making the price low too, it wouldn't necessarily drop the BTC's price.

if the plustoken party throws all their current eth and converts it to the btc pair and then mixes it back to the other erc20. then we can see the big waves of pump and dump from btc. Things like this still might happen at any time. it is possible not to be frontal just like that, but the possibility of manipulation is still very real on a long-term scale.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will any new project will do payment with ETH ? on: January 07, 2020, 11:13:23 AM
projects that are still not in the public offering period, and dare to pay with eth? new projects usually don't have the funds for that. If indeed they are strong in funding and confident in their project then that is a good step to build investor confidence.

Throughout 2017, several big projects do two campaigns at once, pay btc for signatures, and use the stake model for other campaigns, I have never followed the campaign you intended and still think it is just coincidental and temporary.
426  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read trading charts? on: January 07, 2020, 10:28:37 AM
Trust me no one is perfect here. Specially in the market like cryptocurrency where manipulation and volatility is way too high, technicals can deceiving. The more important thing than technicals is your stop loss. Stop loss is really critical to crypto trading. For getting hang of technical analysis in crypto keep on doing hit and trial. You will learn better that way instead of following some tutorial. Remember to try only with small amounts or you can also go for paper trading.
Technicals can deceived ?Are you sure with that? I do not agree to you because chart doesn't lie. A chart can prove if we are wrong or right. Reading charts can help us to understand the market and it can also help us to buy at right time and sell in the right time. Technical analysis is really good to use because we can study the past data in order to know where the price heading.

Manipulation includes fast movements, cannot be considered deceptive because they can be speculative, and TA is also not always about stop loss. I agree with you. Technically, analysis always leads to support and resistance, traders use it to determine the actual price range. If it only refers to patterns that change suddenly due to the influence of BTC activities, it can indeed be excluded, but that is not purely manipulation.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the price of Altcoin be good in 2020? on: January 07, 2020, 08:33:25 AM
only if altcoin dominance is higher than bitcoin, and even then still have to see a significant increase in bitcoin price, if the positive signal only starts from q4 or not at all, I worry for many new altcoins that have actively fought over the past 2 years, and some exchanges will died this year due to the continued decline in trade volume, and also intense competition in the crypto ecosystem.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An uncertain future of Libra! Is it good for the crypto traders? on: January 07, 2020, 06:58:15 AM
if indeed the proposal remains consistent to stay integrated with the Facebook platform, then we only need to continue to monitor their progress. Libra dares to offer something that is very challenging for public space and of course it is very complex. There is no problem about uncertainty because Facebook is a leading company and hasn't even made a public offer that harms anyone.
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Affection of War to Bitcoin? on: January 06, 2020, 04:03:14 AM
the trigger for world war is that there is no longer a peaceful path between the two parties who have their respective allies. When discussing continuing tensions between the US and Iran, it will be the same as the previous US and Afghanistan polemic, the impact of the tension does not spread throughout the world. What I read yesterday was the anticipation of the conversion of assets into bitcoin before the tension became more complicated, whatever happened, only to hope to be able to withdraw assets with the same value when finally conditions returned to normal.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High price but no volume on: January 06, 2020, 02:14:08 AM
The intended coin clearly will never have volume because the developer as the biggest holder is also waiting to sell it all without a buyback clause, if from the start their plan has failed by prioritizing distribution offers that are too large without looking at other aspects that attract market movements, then the coin will deadlocked, of course would be very detrimental to all parties who hold it.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the hot topics of crypto in 2019? on: January 06, 2020, 01:23:47 AM
Chinese government sentiment that agreed to implement the blockchain, but did not recognize the crypto currency was interesting enough throughout 2019, and then the topic of institutional funds was actively involved in market trials, and ultimately led to a decline in bitcoin eventually returning to the $ 6k Area. these things are likely to develop again in 2020.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You the local Bitcoin joke in town? on: January 05, 2020, 11:13:30 PM
try to calm down until bitcoin goes beyond ATH again, or explain in more detail that this asset is still very speculative and will continue to face periodic challenges to achieve greater potential, so it's not always about high prices, others will continue to make it a joke if you only explains the short-term bitcoin movement. No need to be blamed because their literacy is indeed very weak and always thinks instantaneously in every circumstance.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COCOS WILL BE RICH? on: January 05, 2020, 09:40:05 PM
Cocos is currently trading at 7-8 sats with a very long order queue, and you buy it with 9 sats? hmm, looks like you really want to sell it back at the same price. 1-digit coins are very difficult to develop, except waiting for the altseason to arrive, there are several examples that occur in binance, for example: Dent. in the end the coin shrank to 5 sat and then binance removed the bnb and btc pair for that coin. I think Cocos will experience the same thing.
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Exchanges, an end to good projects. on: January 05, 2020, 08:57:20 PM
Because a small fee for the token listing fee is tempted by the team. Although it does not guarantee that the token will or will not end well. To order to get a good market capitalization there, at least the team will pay attention to exchanging high trading volume. Even though the price is quite high, it will at least pay off if the volume of trading is high. Maybe if a whale pumps the coin then it could be a decent start

many projects realize that their budgets can only come in at a small exchange, many developers are too rash in picking up revenue momentum. In many cases, they do not maintain volume and only wait for the movement of their coins in the market. if it is not as expected, it is they who ultimately become the most coin seller at the end of the story, that is the quality that is happening right now.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quality or Price? - which one you look when buying altcoins? on: January 04, 2020, 05:28:59 PM
Remains dependent on daily volume and is connected to the main market that trades the coin. Quality is more important because prices always adjust to BTC trends. If apart from the things I mentioned means it requires a different strategy because the coin volume tends to be very low, it takes longer to see profits because it will only monitor how much the quality of activity of their community, and also the development of the project.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pyramid Schemes are still Amongst Us on: January 04, 2020, 04:44:48 PM
it's better to bet or trade margins, even though the risk is the same but the process and results are not controlled by others. unfortunately the comments about Miracletele above once held a campaign on this forum, need to be more careful to follow many things so far this year. Ponzi has always been unable to avoid bottlenecks because it only relies on new user investment networks, and also HYIPs that promise high monthly profits, but end up with fraud.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death of ICOs on: January 04, 2020, 04:00:48 PM
Many investors want their ICO investment to finally enter the famous exchange. while many projects are not sufficiently capable or have other plans. Over time many investors are no longer interested and then have a negative impact on the next ICO wave. finally all the potential ico and ico scams are in the same room and are swept away by a deteriorating reputation.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters answers needed on: January 04, 2020, 03:13:24 PM
I will leave that bounty. Because without update I can't continue my work.Because this kind of project turned to scam or failed (Majority percent). Also few managers are lazy and not responsible that’s why it happen.
We have different take on this, I'm ok with only updating on a weekly basis, they don't have to, as long in the final tally and stakes distribution they are all correct and within the time frame of the promised distribution, I have encountered a bounty campaign that counted the stake in the last week of the campaign, but they all counted it right and distributed ahead of time.

if the participant leaves the campaign abruptly and unconsciously follows a good campaign with the same manager a few months later, there will be no difference.

Important points remain in the promised distribution, stake is not very influential, especially if the manager handling the bounty has a good reputation, their weaknesses are not because they are lazy, but focus not only on one campaign and also not hiring teams to help make management more efficient.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020 - The Year Of Decentralization. Thoughts? on: January 04, 2020, 02:11:54 PM
the problem with cex is that they are familiar with hacking attack activities, and conversely the problem with dex is liquidity and budget capacity. most of dex was closed in 2019 because they could not deal with regulations, this is also likely to happen in 2020. Nothing is certain at this time, and most importantly, how each exchange is able to maintain consistent performance that ensures users feel they remain comfortable using the services provided.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of browsers add-ons on: January 03, 2020, 01:34:30 PM
means their mode is a kind of keylogging / hijack. I also found this add-on this morning, but didn't use it, I don't like to do experiments and only use important add-ons from the official website. Just like Playstore, it takes several days or several reports to delete it, Google does not filter it directly.
