Does anything like this exist for previous years? A whole website could be dedicated to this.

If they are zip/encrypted offline,  placed in an encrypted veracrypt container (offline) and stored in a zero knowledge cloud risk is very negligible.  I just like to have options.

That will work. Just don't lose or forget your decryption keys. I store some BTC in an encrypted wallet within an encrypted zip file attached to a gmail draft message  Grin. It is ready to use anytime from anywhere in the world (except maybe in China and a few other countries where gmail doesn't work).

gmail doesnt work in china? even with vpn?

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I create a private Bitcoin blockchain? on: December 02, 2016, 01:47:17 AM

Thanks for sharing this useful resource, mate. I've never thought that there would be a service where you could make your own cryptocurrency. Even though this is one option, I prefer to make it by myself in order to learn more about how the Bitcoin source code works and make an altcoin. So far, I am interested into making either a Bitcoin based private blockchain or an Ethereum private blockchain which would be useful for smart contract testing, among many other things.

Another thing I've been looking into is the NXT Monetary System. I like the fact that you can issue your own coins, and make them mineable too without no coding experience or knowledge of the Bitcoin source code.  Smiley

NXT is an awesome platform too. Dont know why the price got beat down. I think it may still have a chance.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the Trojan horse to help push the move to a world government? on: December 02, 2016, 01:29:43 AM
Bitcoin and distributed ledger tech certainly set the stage for world government.  I would bet that was not Nakamoto's intention but dumb government types cant come up with this stuff on their own.
