1  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: As a newbie how many post are you meant to post per day? on: April 19, 2024, 02:08:21 AM
Been on here forever and thinking the same thing...trying to launch something but don't want to launch it as a "newbie" even though I am veteran I don't have the amount required. So I am considered a newbie...Lol

Anyways just keep posting organically to things you are interested in and then it will fill up without even realizing it.
2  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Solar powered mining only during sunlight and without batteries on: April 18, 2024, 06:46:33 AM
I like your thinking...I tried it myself.

I used a few different approaches. But what I found is this:

Using a 24v->12v dc-dc buck converter to keep miners going without a battery directly to the miner after the buck converter.

The buck converter was 50A max continuous. Before this setup I tried the chips plugged into the battery directly which fried some chips after a few voltage fluctuations.

This is why you NEED AN INVERTER to stabilize your output voltage.

When the buck converter was connected into the battery it also fluctuated with clouds and such it shut the miner off when it got too cloudy and then would turn it back on but the miner would have to reset each time and it was not efficient at all. In theory I wanted to skip the battery to save resistance and get rid of having to replace them or use them. However I have found that batteries offer a "cushion" for the voltage fluctuations to be less and yes it sucks converting dc to ac then ac to dc again but if you don't do this it's not stable voltage and will fry stuff or at best just stop functioning for bits of time unstable.

In short the losses from conversion are necessary as a trade for stability.

The only idea you could still try or I could still try is to put the buck converter into the inverter for some stability. But still it's got no power "storage" when mining goes offline from wifi failure or whatever else.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The US Government wants your Bitcoin Miners!? on: February 16, 2024, 08:24:15 AM
If the US government ever makes a move against miners in this way, miners should stand up and refuse to comply with these terms. As previous posters have mention that mining companies already pay taxes and regulation costs etc

There is no need for a registry? Its getting out of hand when your own GOV wants a list of people doing "specific activities". Doesn't matter what they are or what peoples opinion of those said activities are. The question is, where does your rights TRULY end, and where does the governments begin?

Just like flagging segwit when it was first launched miners had to vote on it by accepting it or not. If this ever comes, as a miner its your duty to just reject it on face.

6  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitAddax - **New Crypto Prediction Gaming Launch(BETA)** on: April 10, 2022, 06:30:58 AM
First off I wanted to say thank you for the warm welcome back!

There was A LOT of great feedback.

I have taken in all of your suggestions and will implement them.

This reminds me of why I fell in love with bitcoin and this community in the first place. The constructive feedback is very helpful.

General reply to suggestions:

The TOS needs a tweak there I agree. I will have this changed.

There is no demo, but also no minimum deposit.

Deposits are made through only trusted processors.

There are security measures (input sanitation, https, IP logging/blocking, pentesting, etc) in place to protect user's privacy and keep the data away from outside sources.

Of course this is a new platform and as it grows so will the features, games, userbase, and expansion of region of acceptance for players via gambling license.

Inspiring trust is very crucial for success in this type of field, and I will try my best to provide that.

I will have some of the typos corrected. And fix the slogan, to be more appropriate.

I will obtain a copper account and do an official proper launch shortly, after implementing the changes suggested. Also, changing this thread to a BETA launch.

Again,

Thank you for all the great feedback.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MZC][SHA-256] MAZACOIN *First Sovereign Currency* ANDROID WALLET AVAIL.!! on: October 29, 2018, 10:43:04 PM
You know what, after the dev replied, I was going to reply saying it seems it is taken care of. But then I thought why didn't they announce this on the Maza reddit...the website...here??? No dev even reported they were working on it, so even if they were...the public and cryptopia as spiralus mentioned, won't even notice. And once it's released it will be too late. Masternodes? I picture bee workers harvesting the Maza not some Masternode sitting there. This is not even close to what Mazacoin stands for. Staking is acceptable, but with how many coins you get on a low diff block, imagine the lag time to calculate the stake chain on all those micro-mined transactions. My Litecoin Plus wallet lags because of this with a 1.25 coin block size and finding blocks much slower than Maza. This will most likely break the wallet. This is crazy. Plus the block reward is so high, that a stake on a high inflated coin is useless and only adds to the inflation. Payu has been silent for some time and these devs have not done much for PR at all. Sorry, but this is unacceptable. Simply put, it's time to Bitcoin Cash this coin. PM me and add me spiralus and anyone else that see's the truth and is willing to help with the fork. I am ready to talk strategy, to plan this re-launch.

That settles it for me then, I told myself if I get any support at all even one person I will put the effort in to try to save this coin and resurrect the true intentions of what this project was all about. I know it needs 51% attack support first or no real exchange, such as Cryptopia will feel safe listing it, the whole tribal thing is going to have to be addressed tenderly, and in a way that could work, the direct route obviously has failed, but maybe some creative ideas would help, fundraisers or charity events highlighting the tribe and what they have been through, and how this coin can help for instance is just one idea that is possible and feasible. I will give Payu or any other Maza dev a chance to step up and give a roadmap or a direction for the coin, if nothing is heard from Payu or any dev once LCC releases the worker bee's after their testnet is a success, I will immediately fork the coin adding the 51% attack protection. Until then, I will watch and wait, and will prepare a new website and new announcement and new white paper with a roadmap. This can all be contributed through Maza volunteers @ GitHub and on Bitcointalk for ideas and to help with the relaunch. Stay in touch, PM with your own support. I am open to any suggestions this community can offer. Waiting and watching until further notice.  Cool

I havn't heard anything from the devs, cryptopia has frozen Maza since the 51% attack. I feel it's time to fork this coin and update the features with worker bees from Litecoin Cash, after that is released to help thwart further attacks and to revive MazaCoin. If anyone is interested in helping me relaunch Mazacoin, let me know. Because I do believe in the vision, however Payu can only go so far. I think it's time we as a group take over and push this coin past these imposed limits. It's only a scam if everyone let's it just die. If the Lakota's use Maza in their own Tribal communities, then we need this to be able to be converted to BTC and then into USD as well. If the exchanges are dead and no one can convert, the coin itself dies and loses value. This should not happen, there are two sides to getting this coin off the ground. First is the Lakota nation's acceptance and use, and second is focusing on mass adoption and speculative investment outside of the Lakota. Without both it can't work, even if the Lakota accepted it completely, the value with no market is nil. I run Bitinterest.net and I think I can help expose this coin in a positive light in the near future. Please tell me someone see's this, or if this vision is truly dead, let's come up with a new idea for a new coin that can actually work and make a difference.

Right now the hardware specs I can provide, but they change as new miners are brought in and old ones are sold.

The current operation has 1 Gridseed G-blade, 2 Gridseed G-blacks, 2 A4 Dominators, an Antminer L3+ 500mh/s scrypt miner. The goal is expansion to this. At an earlier point it was all Antminer s7's mining Bitcoin directly, but the switch was made for profit ratio to wattage.

I will not list names of people in our invesment group on an internet forum where anyone can see. Does your banker have his info all over the net? Does Goldman Sachs show you what they do with your money? Nope. We are much more transparent than they are though in this regard.

You may not know the exact miner hardware, or what trading exchanges we utilize, nor our methods on the how. There is a reason to keep some privacy, but you do know, and can see the private pool coinpoolz with the miners on there with the address they are mining on and the balance of that address. Not that, this is the total balance of the available funds, but you can see somewhat what is going on.

You give it a week running time? I will post a celebration after a week passes Shocked

This is not a ponzi. It is a real investment opportunity.

Do you see claims for 10% per day per life? No. It's not something unsustainable. It is to invest in a real provable mining operation, and cryptocurrency market exchange team.

It does not rely on new members or deposits. There are no referral commissions, a straight $25 dollar referral. You don't need an upline to join.

You can submit as low as $25 dollars to try it out first to see if it is legit. It is https comodo secure.

This website will be around and you can watch and see, it is based on real people tending to real miner machines shown in the link to the pool and trading crypto.

Maybe we have to look at it a different way. Is it possible for an altcoin to be able to change it's algorithm constantly, requiring only a pc, microprocessor or gpu?

But even if possible to successfully create another altcoin, control of Bitcoin still remains a problem, as it is the dominating leader in the market place. If the altcoin got enough support it could in theory work, but I see it being very difficult to achieve.

This problem is very tough, but so early in Bitcoin's lifespan and so against it's early principals and intentions. It's also early for cryptocurrencies as a whole. This decentralization so boasted about in the beginning has been slipping in it's ability to be maintained. I am just looking for alternative solutions to fix a huge problem already seemingly too big to change. This affects the future of equality of wealth a lot, I think more Bitcoiners should be more interested in preserving Bitcoin's original intention.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I should have introduced myself on these forums first.

My name is private due to security reasons. However I will say I am one of the investment advisors for the group and I am also an active developer and overseer for the groups assets.

There is an address listed on the website for the location of the investment group.

I have a link to my private mining pool coinpoolz.com to be transparent and to see where a portion of the funds are going. (No higher hashes in future shows no more funds have been put into mining operation.)

There are short investment options(30day/90day). You can try with $25 see if it's real and not risk so much.

The website is now equipped with Secure HTTPS Comodo SSL. I did not have it equipped when I first launched, but it is there now.

AVG shows the site is virus free.

I believe in Bitcoin and the future of it.

To answer your question about regulation, regulation exists for cryptocurrencies. However Bitinterest.net is currently legal, accepting only cryptocurrency and handling absolutely no US Securities.

Every investment poses a risk, yes. But $25 is not a whole lot to risk, and if that was the idea, word would spread fast about it not being a legit investment, all for a measly $25. Plus Bitinterest.net is striving for transparency more than other investment opportunities, due to the private mining pool link.

Thank you guys for the input, I appreciate it.

18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: FPGA Bitcoin Miner VHDL - XILINX on: August 23, 2017, 03:21:03 AM
I understand that. However, there is no good entry level FPGA that can run with low wattage/hashrate available to the public for a low cost.

The older usb projects have older chips now and have fallen behind. If an FPGA was programmed, so that the average person can get into entry level mining. It would allow for more development and possible crowd funding to create something custom eventually, that could allow for an open sourced ASIC, instead of Bitmain and Innosilicon dominating the entire market. Their firmware = their rules.

If you have a better idea to help keep Bitcoin decentralized, be my guest and offer some advice.

Thank you for your reply,

19  Bitcoin / Hardware / FPGA Bitcoin Miner VHDL - XILINX on: August 20, 2017, 11:34:47 PM
For this project:

VHDL coded for a small Xilinx USB Chip with the SHA-256 Bitcoin protocol. Must work with new GetBlockTemplate and must have the controller miner be either a modified version of cpu miner or a miner written from scratch in c.

May begin with the open source Git-Hub, but must be much faster than python miner, and must have much better clock design, one clock cant control everything, for performance boost.

Everything must be fully functional and optimized for best power/hashrate.

Is anyone on here up for helping me get this project going? Trying to add an updated route for people to mine open source style, to combat these bastard ASIC's dominating the market.

Thank you for reading.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: August 18, 2017, 08:25:23 AM
From what I have seen Gulden will be a long term investment option. The development is great for it, the features...the wallet...amazingly smooth and the ability to convert it at POS is fantastic. I think this coin and the dev team with it, will come out swinging hard when the 100 coin block reward halves and halves again think about it, that's where Litecoin is at now. From 3.80 USD to 45 USD average. Huge jump from Segwit success and the ability to be a useful test tool for Bitcoin protocol. The features Gulden offers will be attractive down the line and will add value to the coins overall market cap.
