@Claymore
Please get dev-fee with 14444 port or make a option for change it.
My ISP don't let me connect to 4444 and 5555 ports.

ETH: Stratum - Cannot connect to eu1.ethermine.org:5555
DevFee: ETH: Stratum - Failed to connect, retry in 20 sec...

Same here! Please allow an option to define devfee port.

You can probably do a MITM on your rig to figure out whether info in the miner's console represent reality (but something tells me that's beyond your abilities)
So you are going to judge my intelligence based on 1 post asking a simple question about how a dev is calculating his fees? Shows your true intelligence level. Roll Eyes And to reply to your statement, Yes I do know how to do a MITM. Thanks.

Once again, amount of shares means nothing as they are of different difficulty.
Educate yourself before arguing.

Once again, Since the dev didn't put anything in the log showing when he is or isn't mining for himself how am I supposed to know if he is actually only taking 2%? Am I supposed to just take his word for it since he is smart enough to create a miner so he must be honest enough to trust his word? I am not looking to start an argument over this because it's not worth my time. I had already PMed the dev asking about this to see if he could explain a bit on how he is calculating devfee and he said to post it publicly. I PMed him first because A. I knew I would get answers like I received from yourself. B. I wasn't trying to start a big deal over the 2% and call him out on it I was more just wondering how he was doing it since it's mixed in.

Hey @dstm I just wanted to ask you how you are calculating when to submit devfee shares vs normal shares. I have been looking through my logs for the last 24 hours and No matter what block of time I look at the number of *s vs +s comes out to around 7-8% instead of the 2% that it should be. Am I missing something?

Here are the 2 commands I used to parse out the characters and then do the math with them.

Code:
miner@simpleminer:/root/miner/dstm-v0.5.8$ cat zm.log.tmp |grep / |awk -F" " '{print $18}' | grep -o "*" | wc -l
357
miner@simpleminer:/root/miner/dstm-v0.5.8$ cat zm.log.tmp |grep / |awk -F" " '{print $18}' | grep -o "+" | wc -l
4235

357/(357+4235)*100=7.8%

Thanks!

Dev fee is 2% of your rig's mining time, not 2% of your shares

Do you know this for sure? Where does it say that? It would be nice if the logs indicated a "devfee" block of time so it was easy to know or see when it was working for the dev instead of just randomly submitting dev shares throughout the normal shares. Just a thought.

The promise I have is that no matter what time of block I pick in my logs (2 hours, 4 hours or 24 hours) it seems to always come out around the same high % over 2% so that's why I am trying to understand how he is doing the dev shares.

I am struggling with my new setup. I have 3 1080ti and a 1k PSU(rosewill) If I set the power limit to anything above 200w when either ewbf or dstm miner start up the system crashes. 1000w should be plenty for 3 of those cards but it seems that the sudden surge in ask for power from all 3 psu right at the same time is to much for that PSU.

@dstm is there anyway to add a staggered start parameter? Or do you have any other ideas?

works on smos.

Thank you Millenium Falcon.

Can you detail how you got it running on smOS?

hello, i tried r-v1081 image with r7 370 cards. but i have a problem. from vga output monitor stops screening when desktop gui app starting. i tried from hdmi-d output, desktop gui started but after a few seconds (15-20sec) monitor stops screening again.
mobo ga-970dsp and working smooth with rx image on my other rig.

I don't think R7 series is supported.

Here is info from main page of the site under requirements.

Hi Tytanik,

First of all: great work!
As a semi-linux-noob I would like to know if it is possible to set up a SSH connection (easy part) en read the output of the miner.
I know I can open the site en read the console but I'd like to read it in a PuTTy window.

Start you SSH client, log on your miner f.e. ssh miner@192.168.1.10 password is "miner", then list screen sessions "screen -ls" it will show screen session ID of your working miner, just use screen -x ID.

1.

2.

Hope it works on Putty in same way.

Instead of doing it by the ID since that always changes you can just do screen -x miner instead.

I am experiencing random reboots on 2 of my rigs. What can I do to check what is causing these reboots? What logs can I look at or enable? I'm running off a Sata drive instead of a USB stick so I am OK with it writing out log files.

I had the rigs over clocked but have since removed all over clocking and it is still having reboots. Anywhere from 3 - 10 reboots a day.

Rig 1 is 6 470 4gb msi armor on a tb250-btc mobo.
Rig 2 is 5 470 8gb msi armor on a tb250-btc mobo.

Any advice would be much appreciated. I am pulling my hair out over these things. I have 6 new risers coming so I can swap a few out to see if that helps.

@tytanick, I have been getting a small amount of reboots on a couple of my rigs, maybe 2 or 3 reboots a day.  My rigs come back up fine after about 30 secs but is there a specific log I can look at to determine why this is happening?

I am running in to this same issue and I am actually running smOS on an SSD instead of a USB stick. Is there anyway I can turn some logging on to be able to look back at why my system reboots 3-6 times a day? Sometimes its minutes apart sometimes it is hours apart and the screen scrolls so fast that there is no point in trying to catch what is happening anyway.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Want to mod MSI RX 470 Armor 8GB OC on: May 09, 2017, 01:15:01 AM
Hi again,
after research a little bit Ive installed another driver version, and After burner detect it as (Crimson 16.6),
Now i can mine with better Hashrate but ive got 25.4 maximum stable. Have someone got better Hashrate with Armor card??
Are you normally setting by watttool?? or using Afterburnner???

Million Thanks

I am using patched Relive 16.2.1 and my hashrate in dual mining mode averages about 26.5 MH/s. Cryptomined on Youtube has a video on how to install and patch it with links to all the files.

What hash rates are you getting on the 2nd coin? What is your dcri set to? I have 5 470 8gb that I need to mod and turn them up. Just wondering what others are getting for dual mining stats. What memory speeds are you running them at?

smOS has has a few test builds out now to try to fix the 4g decode issue with the z170 and z270 boards. Might be worth trying those out.

I am seeing this message scroll over and over on the monitor while mining claymore 9 (eth/dcr) on smOS. What is this error trying to tell me? I currently am running 6 msi armor 470s on a tb250-btc.

Any ideas of this error is something to work about or not? What is it trying to say? Anything I can try to do to fix it? How do I identify which card is having the issue?

When you select another miner you need to also make sure that the radio button is selected as well.

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. It seems i need to pay more attention, thanks for pointing that out for me!

Whats the SSH password for this setup? I am not getting enough info from the web console. I see it mining but not on my pool status page. I want to make sure it is running my settings and I am not mining for someone else.

Glad to help.

I am attempting to run zcash mining on your OS but I cant make it work. No matter what other miner I attempt to configure and use it just fails back to the claymore eth8.1

This is a freshly flashed SSD running an H81 pro BTC with 5x R9 Furys, celery processor, and 4gb of RAM

When you select another miner you need to also make sure that the radio button is selected as well.

I recently just got 6 MSI ARMOR 470 4GBs with samsung memory and a tb250-btc. 1200w hp server psu(for cards) and a 600w(for mobo and risers). Currently getting 28.5 steady on claymore 9 on smOS. Eth only. Stock bios other than 1625 copied on up. Memory currently at 2025 and power level 5. Steady 170mhs (28.3-28.5 per card)
