21  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 2 x Bitmain Antminer U3 not running the same speeds? on: January 02, 2015, 05:27:37 PM
Nope, My timer switch doesnt work to well. Once a U3 ZOMBIES out, I gotta go into my secret lab and pull the USB cables, power down, power up, and plug the USB back in.

It just does this the whole time. Even sometimes if it does not ZOMBIE. I just restart cgminer it will do this.

Hi,
Sorry
did not have time over holiday to compile cgminer API.

I just got a new one and replaced it. Now both of them run pretty stable at 60ghs 237.5mhz@780mv.

Still, they go ZOMBIE every other day for no reason. I even used a timer plug to power down 4 times a day for 15 minutes to try and solve the ZOMBIE issues. Usually all I have to do is power down the units for 5 seconds power up and they start running in cgminer again. But I think if I do this too many times without restarting cgminer it just goes mental and everything crashes. So I got to stop cgminer, power down, start cgminer, power up, and it works again.

23  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 2 x Bitmain Antminer U3 not running the same speeds? on: December 22, 2014, 11:24:01 PM
I think its a duff.

I have been searching for hours and nobody else has anything similar to this. since cgminer 4.8.0+ it should just work with all the fine tuning handled in the background.

I hooked up a dedicated PC PSU and set it to 250mhz/800mv and the first one I got is sat stable at 62ghs and this second one, it will not budge.

Between various setting its stuck at 45ghs and wont go more.. get a new one and see what happens, return this one Sad
24  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer U3 on Rasbian w/ cgminer 4.8.0 - need help on: December 22, 2014, 10:44:39 PM
For me.. the provided USB causes all these USB lib errors. I switch to antoher, shorter USB cable and it works fine withcgminer 4.8.0 and 4.9.0

apart from one that is running 45ghs and I cant work out why.. most likely a duff and needs to be returned. Running off PC PSU, Stable as a fort... apart from I need to power cycle these things about evey 2 weeks for some reason.. not too bad.
25  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer U3 w/cgminer & Windows 7 64-bit. Some help given but some needed too. on: December 22, 2014, 10:21:39 PM
How did you configure the main cgminer brach 4.6.1 to use bmsc options? I just checked out 4.6.1 and tried complining with bmsc but only icarus is available.
26  Bitcoin / Mining support / 2 x Bitmain Antminer U3 not running the same speeds? on: December 22, 2014, 02:09:12 PM
I bought 1 U3 miner and got it running with cgminer 4.8.0 on Ubuntu. I had some serious issues getting it going, for some reason the supplied USB did not work and as soon as I used another it went up and I overclocked a bit. Got a nice stable 59.9 Gh/s at 780mV/238Mhz - using the stock PSU and I heard it can melt if you go over 790mV.  Whatever, i am happy with ~60Gh/s

I ordered a seconds one after selling my old stuff. Again, USB cable problem, kept on going zombie and didnt detect it properly for a while.

I unplugged the first one I got, powered down the machine, used that USB cable, powered up with the new one Solo with OC settings. It detected fine but its only running at 45Gh/s

I plugged in the first one with another USB cable I had, hotplug detect, jumped straight in and went to 60Gh/s.

Ok, so I removed the OC setting and run cgminer again then it started up fine, detecting both units. But now the new unit runs at 30Gh/s and the 1st unit at 40Gh/s.

Wierd? I turned on OC again and tried various USB ports and a few other USB cables. This new, 2nd unit just wont go over 45Gh/s - Is it normal for such a large deviation in hashing?

My pool reports 112Gh/s but cgminer says 104Gh/s - but I know no to trust the pool stats. I was hopping to get just about 120gh/s with these 2 boys.

Does anybody know why this could be happening with the new, 2nd unit I bought?

27  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: p2pool stopped paying out? But shows me as active :( on: July 19, 2013, 03:19:37 PM
not sure what you mean?

I have not changed any thing . Do i need to upgrade p2pool or something? Was I hashing on some pool that doe snot genreate coins any more or what?
28  Bitcoin / Mining / p2pool stopped paying out? But shows me as active :( on: July 19, 2013, 10:13:39 AM
I run my p2pool locally and the latest version 80202 of bitcoind.

It has been running like this for nearly 20 days with erupters. All fine and dandy until a few days ago I noticed my erning started to drop slowly.. So I changed my payout address, restarted everything, made sure its got internet connection and everything.

With the new address 3 blocks were found on p2pool. I have not had 1 payout? It shows me as active in the list.

The last address I had showed me in payouts but suddenly stopped (3 payouts ago)

Does anybody know how I can find out what the problem is?

Thanks!

-EDIT
When I look at payouts on http://p2pool.org:9332/static/ my 2 addresses show up there with a daft amount of BTC, Completely incorrect to what I have in my wallets? (although it says there are no transaction and it was never used?)

https://blockchain.info/address/1FWCuNvQPuXSncBSsutsHAdV3j9zDEh9GZ
Shows no transaction but there should be at least 2.

When I look at http://p2pool.info/ payout addresses neither record is in the payout but the current one is active

something to do with the hard fork? .. i suspect since myp2pool is on 11 something looks like 13.1 is laters. Will try to update. But will use public pool for now.
29  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitcoin Erupter not hashing properly? on: June 25, 2013, 03:35:42 PM
wow you are getting 400-500 mhash on the usb things? i though they are only 336 m/hash? explain your secrets

Lol. I wish dude. Those things are already overclocked to a mid level. hence the HW errors every now and again. Those values only showed up for about 30 seconds. It settled down now to the advertised 335mh/s Smiley Possibly if they get cooled better it would increase it slightly.
30  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitcoin Erupter not hashing properly? on: June 25, 2013, 02:39:02 PM
I isntalled bfgminer.

Rebooted the system and restarted bitcoind, p2pool and run bfgimer with -S all

Works like it should now... bloody hell what a mission Smiley Big Fu88en Good Miner kicks ass today...

31  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitcoin Erupter not hashing properly? on: June 25, 2013, 02:17:29 PM
How are you supplying the power?  What is the rating of the supply?

2 are on a powerd hub 2A .. and 2 are on the USB port on the back panel (not front panel) - I put those there to check if any difference.

32  Bitcoin / Hardware / Bitcoin Erupter not hashing properly? on: June 25, 2013, 12:47:07 PM
I setup p2pool on my ubuntu  12.04LTS x64 machine. Installed cgminer 3.3 and ran it. the newest cgminer is supposed to support the USB mode without any extra configuration.

I have 2 erupters on a powered usb2 hub and 2 running off the motherboard direct. the hashing is just not stable. jumping from 50mh to 300, then getting sick and restarting- there are a ton of rejects. I don't know what is wrong. I have been reading all the posts one after the other and I am stumped. Please can somebody help me.

33  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to use ASICMiner Block Erupters with CGMiner on Windows 7 on: June 25, 2013, 10:45:12 AM
Hello guys. I tried setting these guys up on Ubuntu and Windows.

On Ubuntu  (headless console only) there is no driver install required and usgin cgminer 3.2.+ I am supposed to be able to use cgminer without any settings (com ports, icarus-options)
cgminer starts up and detects all the eropters.. but it seems highlty unstable. the hashing is all over the place and they get sick very often. I have them plugged into a USB 2.0 powered HUB and direct into the MB USB ports. neither one has a stable megahash. How can I fix this? I really want to use Ubuntu as this pc runs 24/7.

SO I went over to windows that has an onboard USB2.0 and USB3.0 - and plugged 1 into each. SO i got 2. I downloaded the zadig utility. It shows the 2 erupters.I press install driver.... failed (other)
They show up as cp2102 USB To uart Bridge adapter? and when i select one from the list it shows the driver as NONE.

I can run cgminer 3.3 nogpu and it says it found the device but it needs the winusb drivers to work.

It seems like I am the only person in the whole world that cannot get any of this stuff to work.
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fine-Tuning Radeon 6990 in CGMiner on: June 14, 2013, 11:38:33 AM
I used phatk kernel.

400mhz per core stable at 60 celsius in ambient 15 celsius room. Because I lowered the core voltage and memory it uses alot less power and runs really cool. With normal card settings it uses 950watts. Now when it tuned it went down to 800watts (this is the whole box on a celeron cpu)

card
core voltage: 1070mv
power limit: +5% (more than enough)
core mhz: 900mhz
memory mhz: 775mhz
fan speed: 70% (ambient temp is 15)

intensity: 9
vectors: 2
gpu thread: 2
work size: 512
kernel: phatk

cgminer 3.1.0
