EWBF Cuda Equihash Miner v0.6
Why does it try to connect to proxypool.net? This is devfee server. Running this >>
miner --algo aion --server aion-us.luxor.tech --port 3366 --user 0x****************************************** +-------------------------------------------------+ | EWBF's Eqihash CUDA miner. v0.6 | +-------------------------------------------------+ 21:08:38 INFO: Configured pools: 1 21:08:38 INFO: Selected pool: aion-us.luxor.tech:3366 21:08:38 INFO: Algorithm: 210_9 "AION0PoW" 21:08:38 INFO: Devices: All. 21:08:38 INFO: Temperature limit: 90 21:08:38 INFO: Api: Disabled ---------------------------------------------------
this is on a Asus Strix 970gtx 4gb 120 sols/s average, am i doing something wrong?
Under windows (if we are talking about windows) some other applications may affect gpu performance, so check gpu clocks. Use gpu-z or something like that.

Don't know has anyone reported. But there is a problem. Miner mines but nothing is shown on the pool. Rig just disappears. Caught it several times with different rigs. Zergpool on 144_5 algo. Not sure whether it is pool or miner or pool/miner fault.
The miner continues to work as long as the connection to the pool is alive, otherwise the devfee will be stopped, and the miner will try to restore connection with the pool. I'll connect my rig to Zergpool to see the situation. Any news? I'm constantly having this issue. Tried different rigs - all continue to mine but disappear from wallet info. I made crutches to restart miner every hour but it's not real solution. The miner worked for many hours, and i see no problems. Do you see accepted shares? If yes, then there are no problems with the miner, because the pool sends work and accepts shares. Does v0.6 have any improvements over v0.5 for Aion in particular?
Edit: I'm getting close to a 10% increase in Sol/s with v0.6 and 1080TI
No, there are no significant changes, except one memory fix, which can provide an improvement for 1080ti. IS it possible to implement solo mining in the next version. Currently it is only stratum connection available...
If it will be implemented, it will be later. Just use a stratum proxy for your coin.

A coffin has no pockets... Do I understand this as you're ending development? No, currently development continues... EWBF_ 192_7 for old card (GTX 970/980) improve ?
Yes, but I did not implement everything that was planned for this algo. In the next version there will be additional improvements.

I see some minor performance decrease on 96_5 compared to 0.5
what gpu? GTX1060 6GB. Not a major one, like 0.5-1k sol per 6 GPU rig, but still... I will test it out on other 1060 6GB rigs, and also on 1060 3GB rigs and we will see. Can you please give additional info, cuda 8 or 9 and win or linux. Thanks.

Version 0.6 has been released. In the next version additional improvements, Turing support, cuda 9.2 will replace 9.1 and probably will be added cuda 10 versions. Im running SMOS with this miner and was looking to upgrade my Nvidia to Cuda 9.2
I wanted to know if this miner is backward compatible?
Will it work with newer Nvidia drivers?

If i use --fee 0 my performance will lower than if i use default --fee 2? EWBF ? No. EWBF_, in next ver could you add an avg speed readout for avg sol/s, averaging the sol/s over the runtime of the miner since last start, and also avg efficiency in sol/w (averaging all cards together) over the runtime since last start?
Well, this is not a problem, only since version 0.7. Not working with turing GPU RTX 2080, Linux, driver 410.57
Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for my RTX card. But thanks for the information. hi,
start mine BTG
with 2x1070 1x1080
nooverclok
one of 1070 start but bet error, stoped responde,
would like to know if posible to set intensity for each gpu, and how do that command line on bat. file.
using w10 tks,
if i start mine BTG with one card work without prolem.
Hi, if gpu does not respond, it means that the thread gets stuck in the cuda call, if this happens - you need to first check this gpu, its memory and all the cables connected to it. the --intensity parameter works similarly to --cuda_devices, for example: --cuda_devices 0 1 2 3 --intensity 64 64 1 64 sets the intensity 1 to gpu 2.

Hello EWBF, i have problem with one rig from 20 on your program.
He started and after 20-30 sec go to restart. I reinstall drivers, make clean install, tried without overcloking and always same issue. Any idea how to fix my problem? (Super stable + overclock on usual equihash on ZCL for example, or previous algo BTG) windows version. I mine ANON coin here anon.2miners.com 144.5 algo
Rig with 8xGPU:
4 x 1080 1x 1070 3x 1060 3Gb
EDIT:
I turned off one by one gpu from devices, problem with one of my 1080 GPU....other 3 same (gigabyte 1080, same vendor, all same) works without problem. This gpu which cause problem, super stable at usual Equihash algo...don't know ho to solve problem, i tried to downgrade frequency from here -200 for mem and - 100 for GPU, still restart after 10 second of work.
Hello, I can recommend you to check the cables: riser and power, and also run a memtest for this gpu. EWBF,
I just noticed you have Group and World write permissions set on your miner file in Linux. (I.E. 777)
Is this what you want or need?
Most executables ship set with Group and World write permissions off (I.E 755).
Let me know either way please.
OverDrive5
Hello, no, these permissions are not mandatory, you can set any permissions that are convenient for you. have a problem with last 0.5v miner. When I start, miner.exe usage is 142mb memory. But after 24h this process use all available memory, 3.9gb for me. Restart is helps. Someone have this ussue? How you solve it? Maybe EWBFs have option for restart, like -r in Claymoors eth miner?
Hello, thanks for the message, this is definitely a problem, I will investigate it ASAP. Do you use windows?

Hi EWBF!
I have a question. Does anyone know if the current version of EWBF runs on the mining specific cards specifically the P106-090 3GB? This is the older version of the typical P106-100 which is 6GB. I am looking to mine BTG 144,5.
From the reading I have done I sounds like the most current version of EWBF 0.5 runs fine on win 10 with the GTX 1060 3GB. So it should run fine of the mining specific cards?
Any replies would be greatly appreciated!!
I do not have these cards, but I think they will work fine, also these cards look slower than 1060 3 GB. I have 12 evga 1070 SCs on Win10 Pro using nvidia inspector to OC to 100/450 85% power. each card using around 123 watts. and my SOL/s is about 470 in EWBF 0.5
I previously had this machine running on Win10 Home, same hardware, using EWBF 0.4 I'd get about 470 sol/s then i upgraded to 0.5 and was getting 505-515 sol/s. but formatted ssd and did a clean install of win10 pro and now EWBF 0.5 is maxing at 475 sol/s and not over 500 as previously achieved with same OC settings. I'm at a loss.
I also updated B250 mining expert from bios 1010 to bios 1026, or whatever the latest BIOS is. Could this contribute?
Which version of nvidia driver are you currently using? This is Equihash 200,9, you need to use an old miner. Hello, i am having problem with 0.5 and 0.4 ( i havent tried the older one). When i start mining after 10 15 min all cards crash. There is a message that says GPU 0 , 1 ,2 are unavaible or busy and trying to restart. I am usisng 1060 6 g , 1070 TI and 1080 TI. My OC setttings are Power 90 % 0 clock on memory and the other one is 0 only my fan speed is changed and they crash with 0 OC i am usising windows 7. Can someone help ?
Run one copy of the miner for each card, this will help you figure out which card causes the problem, check the power supply (is it able to handle the load?), cables, risers, etc. every second time restart miner API not start, please fix it ubuntu 16 ERROR: Api bind error Ok, I'll check it out. EWBF is still not flushing stdout - is this by purpose?
It makes it almost impossible for monitoring apps to handle miner output
btw.: claymore has the same: not flushing stdout.
Just add --boff argument.

Hi EWBF_, OK thanks for the reply. BTW do you expect any great hashrates from the new Nvidia Turing GPUs with your miner? Do the new Tensor Cores and RT Cores of RTX 2080ti will have any benefit to the hashrate? Or is it just the regular Shader/Compute Cores that will be used for mining?
Hi, this is a good question, but the information is still not enough. RT and tensor cores can only be used for specific tasks, I do not think they will be useful for existing algorithms, at least for most of them. On the other hand, I saw this: https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-upgrades-l1-and-l2-caches-for-turing, and I think it's cool and will help to a "memory intensive" algorithms. In any case, these are only my assumptions, and it is better to wait for the full information. Ok, i've created that directory and copied inside that file. Now that problem is fixed, thank you. Last question: are you scheduled to reintroduce 200_9 ?? I'm very happy if it is possible
I answered this question a couple of posts earlier. Dear EWBF,
I use EWBF's Cuda Equihash Miner 0.5 mining algo 144_5 with my two 1080ti cards, but why tow cards have different hashrate GPU0: 65 Sol/s GPU1: 37 Sol/s,what wrong and how should i to solve
Check the usage of gpu and the clock speed. Use MSI Afterburner, GPU-Z or any similar tool. Any update with the 96_5 algorithm? A new Cuda toolkit is out now so there might be a few optimizations made by NVIDIA that you can utilitize. Do you also plan to develop a mining software support for the upcoming turing cards?
Currently I'm working on improvements 192 7, and, of course, I'm waiting for the Turing generation and will support them.

Hi. I am having trouble with mining ZERO.
I am running 8x GTX 1060 6 GB on windows and when mining with EBWF Equihash 0.5 miner on suprnova mining pool I only get 6/8 GPU's working. Nothing wrong with the GPU's since they work just fine mining something else. The error says out of memory.
Help please
Try to increase the size of the paging file to 20-50GB Hi all, i have a notebook with: - intel core i7-8550U
- 8gb ram DDR4
- NVIDIA GeForce MX130 with 2gb Vram
- Windows 10 Pro with latest updates
For me is impossible to mine. I have this error: +-------------------------------------------------+ | EWBF's Eqihash CUDA miner. v0.5 | +-------------------------------------------------+ 18:30:20 ERROR: Cannot load nvml.
same error with Cuda 8 and Cuda 9. NVML comes with nvidia drivers, check this file: C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI\nvml.dll and try to copy it into the miner's directory. Hello EWBF_, is it possible that you bring 200,9 back too? - just in addition to the other algorithms. Yes, I know ASIC's are more efficient now, but not everybody wants to buy them or can afford them - or even wants them to run at home because they are super hot and super loud. Besides there is a big risk to buy one, because every day there could be an asic fork away like Monero and Bitcoing Gold already did. So I still use your old 0.34b but I think it's outdated now and probably you can create a much more powerful version now. P.S.: I still love to give you my full fee amount, because I honor and respect your work. I know this is hard work and it should not be for nothing. This is hard work to program these miners and like every other work it should be remunerated accordingly!
Hi, thank you, since ASIC is here, I believe Equihash 200,9 will be completely lost for gpu miners very soon. When I finish most of the work with this project, I will look at the situation and decide whether to update the old miner or not. I hope you understand that at present this project is more actual. In any case, many thanks for your support.

Great 0.5 release : I can mine with my GTX 750 2 Gb :-) ! ... but not with my GTX 960 2 GB (it is a 2 GB too, but there is a little less in real, something like 19xx kbytes memory).
Thanks for the info. 144_5_EXCC_D does not work. getting way to many shares
This is created specifically for the excc.scecf.org project, so this should only work with this pool. What pers are u used for minexcoin?
Minexcoin uses the standard ZcashPoW string, so it's not necessary to use personalization for this coin, --algo 96_5 it's enough.

Yes, except --solver option. Any possible improvements for 96_5, or this is the limit?
It is difficult, but possible. dear i know maybe its stupid question but whats the alg for Zcash and whats the miner command line will be . thanks and sorry again
This miner does not support equihash 200,9. I also think a couple of months, and it will be unprofitable for the GPU because of the asic's. Sometimes miner crashes and tries to restart:
" 14:06:42 CUDA: Device: 6 Thread exited with message: "all CUDA-capable devices are busy or unavailable" 14:06:43 WARNING: Looks like GPU7 are stopped. I kill task manually and start the task again, then everything works fine
It would be very good if he himself began anew independently
windows 10, 8 cards : 6/1070 +2/1080ti drivers nvidia 01.06.2018 ver. 24.21.13.9811
This is actually a common problem, you need to make sure that your overclocking is stable, note that different algorithms load gpu in different ways. Thus, stable overclocking on one algorithm does not guarantee stability for others. Loving the higher hashrate
BUT STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH 12 CARD RIGS, it runs fine for about 5 minutes then crashes, GPU dump errors, help please, using SMOS
With fewer GPUs, no problems?

Can we get some more documentation on how this new functionality worksL * Added option --pers auto, Allow the pool to manage the personalization string. (Profit switching). (/http://zergpool.com) It's very simple, the pool should send a modified mining_notify method (the differences are in bold): {"id": null, "method": "mining.notify", "params": ["JOB_ID", "VERSION", "PREVHASH", "MERKLEROOT", "RESERVED", "TIME", "BITS", CLEAN_JOBS, " 144_5", " BgoldPoW"]} And the miner will use the specified personalization (the 9th element of the params array). that's all. The 8th element, currently not used, you must set the algorithm in it.
