if satoshi nakomoto mined 1 million bitcoins in early days. who own the second worlds biggest bitcoin wallet? I would guess one of the biggest wallets must belong to some exchange. I find it psycologically difficult, although not impossible, to hold the majority of coins past some price increase. almost everybody have some point on the price history where they would sell at least part of the holdings. sO at current prices the major holders are exchanges IMO.

Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is it advisable to stock up on btc now?

I have noticed for the past few days that the bitcoin price has maximum been reaching a value of 6700$,it is predicted that by the end of the year it would reach 10000$. So should I stock up on btc when the prices fall a bit near 6-6.2k$ or should I wait.
Around 6k is a good entry. You can put another order or orders below until 4.5k in case any news come and disrupt the normal ascending tendency . The rise from 4k was very fast, so has little support and stupid news like china exchange or the Glorious winning of roger verīs BCH could cause some panic drop before we see BTC at 10k.

Would it be possible for a group of extremely rich billionaires & other powerful individuals to manipulate the bitcoin market? e.g. Pump and dump, exposure to news networks, lobbying for favourable bitcoin regulation, etc You have several examples of BTC market manipulation that already happened or alegedely happened... Just as examples the huge market manipulation by Chine with the Exchange ban news.. it is said the sole purpose was to control some of the chinese exchanges, Other example was the segwit 2.0 news and cancelation and imediate speculation on Bitcoin cash.

If we start to really realize the value of an asset like BTC you only have three ways of getting it. "work" for it, buy it or mine it. The times of almost free BTC as we saw in faucets is over.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Ethereum will hit $1,000?
|

There is a very grey cloud above the alt markets as the huge mid year pump faded away. However, IMO the strongest projects will continue to grow in value and there is a probability in the future that their value detaches from BTC and they aquire their own. Eth is a very good project with the mai problem being the huge ammount of scams built on it. But what we have to thik from current price is if the market will grow 3 or 4 times from this point...and it probably will so ethh at 1000 is a fairly good possibility.

I got it from ccr's post. He said that all the xby coins available are these amounts.
Cryptopia: 15.6 million C-CEX: 13.4 million
So an exact amount would be 28 million available. That's exactly 622 million xby coins or 96% not available that are locked in the static nodes. The coins are either available or locked in the static nodes.
Try and follow the posts on this forum before you flap your gums. Put down the crack pipe you're smoking and pay attention idiot
I donīt really know the total supply of circulating XBY. But exchange liquidity is not the same as circulating amount. IF people are holding in personal wallets outside of exchanges, or in exchanges without open orders the total number wonīt be anything near those values.

I bought up this thread because its really scary how everyone talks about BTC as if it will be "the thing" forever. Unlike other assets like gold, i don't know if a piece of tech can stand the test of time for so long.

Is Bitfinex Funding still a thing ? I cant find any recent bad reviews of that exchange......no hacking or anything like that .
Hold thread Popped up:) I'm using it since 2016 with no problems. The market varies but it gives consistent returns. Check it out and see if the amount of interest is good enough for you. As for the exchange it had some problems with the "fiat gateway" , but as i don't use fiat in and out i don't really know out it turned out.
