I've heard that silver mines are expected to dry up by ~2020. That's a ways off, but food for thought!
There aren't any silver mines these days. All the silver that is mined today is byproducts of other types of mines. Silver is too cheap to mine currently. If silver were REALLY expensive right now, they might call some "copper mines" operating today "silver mines". (Whatever the main value product of a mine is at the moment considered the "type" of mine.) New Liberty Dollars are at record highs too, but they are extremely scarce compared to the eagles, even though they can be bought more inexpensively. The US Mint has a marketing budget, we non-government private minters can make them for less, and ours are better too. The issue I have with private minters is that to the lay person it is less convincing that it is real silver. The American Eagles are made by the feds and the exact dimension for width, diameter, weight, are easily verifiable. There have been issues of coins merely plated with silver of gold being sold. I'd rather pay more and be more sure of what I have and to more easily barter it with a neighbor that is not knowledgeable about such things. Having said that, if I ever really stike it rich, I will collect one of about everything as a collection. :-D

Why don't you join the military where you can kill your fellow humans legally? It also helps to get your frustrations out by doing it in games.

Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better - Jale in hand now, or a Single in 3 months?

I am covering all bases. I have GPUs, Block Eruptors, and a Jale now. Should have a 30 & 60 on the way eventually. I do lean towards more hashing power as being better ultimately especially factoring in less electricity per hash.
I said they cost the same because that is going rate on Ebay. Jales are selling for about $3K for a 5 and $4K for a 7. If you are lucky, you can get a 30 for the same price.
thanks

This reminds me of people flipping-out about all caps. Caps are easier to read. It makes sense to use all caps. It's not the user's fault if someone decided it means screaming. The old teletype machines did nothing but caps. In this case, something called a name starting with "camel" can't be all bad: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CamelCaseTo me it is just free speech. At least the spelling is mostly correct! :-p

the metals market is heavily manipulated for a rise & repeat scheme, which is fine if you ride the waves along with them ;-)
never sell low - buy buy buy and sell when over $30(silver) at least...

I'm trying to find hot Japanese girl photos that aren't NSFW but it's getting really difficult now Be funny to start a thread about some technical topic with nude shots in it. You'd have 100s of people cursing at you. lol

Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA GPU overc monit fanspd RPC linux/win/osx/mip/r-pi 3.2.2

Wow, what an ordeal... just got my first Jale and I was caught in a catch-22 because cg 3.2.2 has issues with ASIC Block Eruptors(which I already had). If I ran 3.1.1, it would crash from the Jale. If I ran 3.2.2, it could not start the BEs. After two hours of screwing around with different ideas, I finally came up with calling out the specific devices for each version of cg with --usb 1:31 (in my case) for the Jale with cg 3.2.2 and --usb 1:4,1:6,1:7 etc. for the BEs with 3.1.1
3.1.1 does seem to have issues either randomly or with more than a dozen or so devices with the vcp driver. Certain ones won't initialize randomly. I may move a few to a different system since I have 18 total. I did try the usb driver with 3.2.2 and no go. Went back to vcp driver and only 16 of them show-up. Did not try a reboot yet. Just happy to be hashing with double digits for now. :-D Also, noticed on reboot previously that the com port numbers can change(which sucks). Not a biggie since I can just leave the PC on for a week straight between reboots.
