Hi Crypto Addicts This year has been a heck of a year for crypto addicts. Last year Bitcoin boosted its price to 20k limit and everyone who has access to internet started to talk about BitCoin. Most of them don't know what a Crypto Currency is, what is Block Chain. With the BTC price hike many governments started to take steps to regulate Crypto Market. Many coins popped up, some were real, and some were scam. This year BTC & Crypto market as a whole took a big hit and prices started to decline in many coins. Some lost money investing money when the price is high and some became billionaires dumping the BTC at peak. Governments started to take steps to regulate the market, some countries banned crypto and some did support the course. With all this happening behind the curtains BTC hold 1st place all the time in terms of dollar price and market capitalizations. Some coins dropped 1 or 2 places down and some moved up. About 2 days ago BCH SV moved up against BCH ABC for couple of minutes or hours and both are back again on their previous places. Doge took a great hit and moved way down. XR, Stellar, Tether build its trust while other coins take a hit. As of today following are the Top 10 coins in terms of Market Capitalization. - BitCoin

A very similar thing happened with btc last year and a couple forks.
People see these hard forks as a chance to get free coins, so they buy up a bunch.
For example, last year november people were buying up bitcoin like crazy for the bitcoin gold fork.
People saw how bch ended up valuable and they wanted to see something with bitcoin gold.
The thing is, buying over inflated coins so you can get a couple free coins that won't be worth much is foolish.
That's like the person who spends way over their budget when shopping so they can get free shipping.
Always, the best strategy is to buy when people are selling, and sell when people are buying.
So, actually, it is a good time to sell your bch, cause it will price correct and you can buy back in cheaper guaranteed.
Agree with your opinion. Its good if the Forked new coin trade on a good price. But most of the forked coins in past has not traded well like BTC-BCH fork. So If I buy now with higher price, it should be compensated with the trading value of coin. |

Hi, You might already know that BCH is going for a Hard Fork in 15th or 18th this month? Probably yes.
Price of the BCH is now sky rocketing for the moment.
But I was wondering, is it good time to stock up BCH to get the new coin from Fork and sell it on exchange? Was it worth it as the BCH price is already high?

New coins give Airdrops for a reason. 1 important reason is being build the awareness. If people don't use the coins, it does not really have a value. It even applies to BTC.
Now BTC is accepted among many people. But a new coin? Does people know about it? No
So I think thats the main rason for Airdrops. Build awareness, increase transaction count and activity.
If the project is uniqure and has a well planned roadmap, Airdrops will help out. But if the project does not give anything new or just a pop up coins, non of the Airdrops could save the coins from being a failed coin.

It might drop the price by some hundred dollars or 1k dollars. But I don't think it will drop below $1000. At least in this year.

Its not optional mate. You can't claim Forked coins without private keys. What services are available any links..? No mate. I'm just a small scale Crypto Investor. How can you buy low, when everything has settled. Setlled means stable market condition, which likely be higher market price for BTC. Am I missing something here?  |

The market continues to go down, there is a lot of good news but not push up the bitcoin price, trading volume is very low. I think there will be another sharp drop again to try the rest of the market to see Would you like to sell or not. Do you think bitcoin can be about $ 5000?
Of course $5000 is on the table. But the strong hands who are holding their coins for years now, and haven't sold any coin since the beginning of the decline in december, also will not sell at $5k. These are the hodlers of last resort, as Trace Mayer is often saying. What these guys will do is buy more if they have some fiat on the sideline. So whoever tries to continue to scare the market, will only be able to shake out the last newbies who entered the space a year ago or so. Nicely said. Everyday people join crypto world and think they can make lots of money like the ones who invested earlier. When they see a sharp drop, they scare the s*** out and sell. But people who invested earlier will hold till it rises up. At the end of the day, they have only invested small amount of money. Whether the BTC rpice goes up or down, they only loss small. |
