To me, that is really normal. But it depends on the altcoins you invest. If you invest in small altcoins and lose 50% of your assets then you should sell them right away, small altcoins will not help you improve your capital.

I dont recommend following all the created FUD and rumors about Tether,I think everything is ok and under control.Trading btc-usdt is fine but I dont keep a lot of money in tether,I prefer bitcoin and etherium.

You check investopedia,that is where i learned basic technical analysis when i was a newbie like you there would be plenty of technical lessons and surely if you are doing good you will be a great trader too.If you dont know what is your current lesson's try to search it in youtube it will be more easier if you use thee two resources,do not ask for people's help so your analysis can be trained.Do not stop learning every so you will be an expert someday,. wow, that's really a very good site to learn about investing. It's a big yes! For me, ETH can reach BTC value because as of now, ETH have a good team and good projects. ETH is better especially in long term, there's a time that ETH value overrun the BTC value. It is possible because many of us choose ETH but I am not Saying that all people hate bitcoin. People wants ETH because the transaction of money is so fast than other crypto currency. And we all know that ETH is the second position in all currency and ETH are closely with the BTC that's why there's a possible to reach the BTC value in long run.
I think that will never happen. Bitcoin has outlived ETH and Bitcoin is a very powerful coin. There will not be any altcoins that can replace Bitcoin. Although it's convenient, it's fast and the transaction fee is cheap, but it's never going to be as good as Bitcoin. You only talk about the benefits of the crypto market, not to mention the market benefits that Bitcoin and ETH bring. It can certainly go under 600$. It is closely tied to BTC, which dictates the whole crypto market. I wish coins could disconnect much more from BTC. But I see a real use of ETH, so I think it is a generally good investment on the long run.
