1  Economy / Digital goods / Re: NiceVPS.net ★ Uncensored Bitcoin Hosting, VPS, VPN, Domains ✔ Fast & Protected on: February 18, 2018, 11:24:31 AM
Dear @Fabricus,

I'm truly sorry to hear your bad experience with us, I understand your frustration.
You were correct, there were an error within our Monero daemon and the money showed up by now.
I personally checked as some other customer complained about the same issue, please accept our most sincere apologies and forgive our support as he wasn't able to fully validate.

I've now added the funds to your account and some more as compensation.

Sorry again.

EDIT: We can also issue you a full refund to your wallet as per our ToS (minus the miner fee)

Thanks for getting back to me and for the apology. I'm glad the matter was solved even though it doesn't change the fact that your customer support considered turned me down without even looking at my evidence (screenshots) and basically considered me being a liar. That's not very professional and I hope you'll improve other time (I know there are many scammers in the place but usually when a customer is complaining about a bug and is willing to both send some evidence AND pay again this is no scammer behaviour so give him/her a shot ;-)).

Hi everyone, just for information I've ordered a VPS with them and there is apparently a bug with there system when trying to pay with Monero so I wouldn't advise to try that payment method.

I've made the payment twice and none went through (obviously I copy / pasted the url) in time (as there is a 15 minutes window to make the payment and it's waiting for 5 confirmations).

Anyway, I have some screenshots to backup my statements but that's not relevant to publish them here. I'd like to add that the customer service is quite fast but not very friendly as I was basically treated like if I was lying (even telling then I can provide some evidence of my unfortunate experience) and the conversation ended bluntly as they closed the ticket without any refund nor providing any server by the way.

Bottom line is: I've lost roughly $20 worth of Monero and I won't be using their services again but maybe I contacted them on a bad day. Well, that was my experience at least.

An update post as I've just received my order today... So it's not a scam but the delays are just insanely long (ordered on the 30th of Nov. 2017 - received it on the 19th of Jan. 2018) and customer support is non existent (two emails - no answer). But the quality of the product is really good so for some that might be worth the wait Wink

A quick update here... I finally receive my order (and it's really one of the most beautiful metal card I've seen). So it's apparently not a scam but delays are damn fucking long (ordered on the 30th of November 2017 - received the order on the 18th of Jan. 2018). and their customer is non existent (I've sent two mails - no answer). But they delivered so... not a scam Wink
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Is Cryobit a scam? on: January 12, 2018, 09:12:58 PM
Hi there,

It more like a customer feedback but just in case someone is considering a purchase with them please don't!

I've ordered a Bitcoin Metal Card / Wallet on their website on Nov. the 30th 2017 and haven't receive any feedback since (apart from an automatic email saying that my order is 'complete').

After a month I sent them an email to get some news but they haven't even responded to my inquiry and it's been a couple weeks so I'm pretty damn sure my money is gone now. Money is not the main issue, it's mostly the sentimental aspect as this was supposed to be a gift for a my little one but what's done is done.

At least I get to warn the community, please don't buy from https://www.cryobit.co/ they are probably just looking for your money there is no product delivered!

Edit: Hyperlink added

Hi, I'm just posting a reply in case someone is considering buying one of their product (Cryobit). They've taken my order but I haven't receive any news or feedback for a month. After sending an email to the customer to get some feedback I'm still waiting for an answer so I'm pretty sure this is not a legit business. My money might be gone but at least I get to warn the community. Don't buy from them!

The problem I have found is the manufacturers are asking a substantial premium over spot gold price. Most likely due to manufacturing cost of small runs of coins. Spot gold is $1288 and Denarium is asking $2600 for an unloaded one ounce gold coin. Finitebydesign is charging less of a premium, their 1.5 ounce Bitcoin Cash gold coin is $3200 still $845 over spot gold. I would rather just buy gold coins like Pandas. You can get a first strike 2017 China 30 Gram Gold Panda already graded MS-70 for $1645 for example.

I don't necessarily mind paying a premium but thanks for the tips I wouldn't have thought about these... although my idea is to buy a physical gold coin that's somehow digital linked to a bitcoin for the symbolism of that 'digital gold' ;-)

Well if I can fill it myself it doesn't matter if it's already loaded or not but it matters that it's made of pur gold ;-)

Hi Fabricus,

You might be interested in the Denarium gold coin, celebrating the BTC / 1oz gold parity which happened earlier this year (seems like an eternity, now...):

https://denarium.com/product/denarium-1-btc-gold

It's sold out for now, but the third batch should be available very soon, see:

Thanks for the heads up... I'll definitely have a look Wink
12  Economy / Collectibles / Buyer for a Physical coin - 1oz Gold like Titan Bitcoin on: November 24, 2017, 04:47:56 PM
Hi everyone,

I've been on a hunt for a physical coin 1oz gold like the Titan Bitcoin... if anyone has any I'd be interested to have some feedback (or even a more in-depth chat if you are a seller Wink). After all Bitcoin is the digital gold so I'd like to have a physical gold coin branded Bitcoin to commemorate that Wink

Cheers,

That's not really a review, merely of sum-up of what's to come but it is good to finally see some news around the project.... looking forward to some more ;-)

Just a quick message to share my thoughts as I really that's a great idea! I mean you'll probably end up having less participant due to the technicality of the process but I really like the effort you put in place to preserve anonymity! Great work, really!

I'm actively making a plan to get BTX listed on the following exchanges:
Livecoin
Cex.io
Coinexchange

I'm open to any further suggestions. I think if we as a community come together for this it'll get done quicker than a dev asking anyways. Obviously exchanges want coins with community interest and volume already; which BTX has established it has in spades. What it needs now is the ability to not be tied to one exchange's reputation. I think making BTX ubiquitous on the altcoin exchange market would be a good first step to mass adoption.

I'd follow your plan but I think Livecoin expect at least 3 BTC to get a coin listed so it's pretty harsh at our level isn't it?

I'm a donator and only received half of the coins that were promised (they should have sent the other half at worst before the 27th of October 23:59) so I'm starting to be a little worried... are you still around devs?

Silly question but what will be the airdrop for a member that register as a Jr. Member but ends up as a Member before the end of the airdrop? Will he qualify for Jr aidrop (10 POS) or Member (15 POS)?

Hi there, that's a great idea but aren't you in competition with bitJob then?
