63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 alt coin list! on: September 09, 2017, 11:59:00 AM
Also have a look at ETHBITS.

They had some rough time but are now solving the problems.

I think they will rocket as soon as they get listed on a decent exchange.

First shortterm, now longer (1-2 years).
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins you are going to buy? on: September 08, 2017, 07:42:25 AM
I have problems buying coins with nothing but an idea that are already worth 100-200 mUSD.

I think the business model is not transparent enough. Wanted to invest some time ago and had problems figuring out, what exactly they do.

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / ETHBITS divident on: September 02, 2017, 09:14:19 AM
When trying to claim my divident in MyEtherwallet I tried to use this guide:

https://blog.ethbits.com/2017/08/31/dividends/

However, when trying to generate the transaction I get this error message:

The account you are sending from does not have enough funds. If sending tokens, you must have 0.01 ETH in your account to cover the cost of gas.

I hold ETB in the Wallet but not ETH.

Why do I need ETH when I try to RECEIVE my divident?

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: InsureX IXT on: August 23, 2017, 09:15:16 AM

What about incent? It looks similar with the insurex, even wetrust already offered the same thing with insurex. But there is no result at all. Wetrust lack of the update about the development and product.
My concentrate already focused on the product.

I believe WeTrust does something different: Some sort of peer-to-peer lending and mutual insurance without the companies.

InsureX aims at the companies themselves.

Incent I couldn't find.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / InsureX IXT on: August 23, 2017, 08:31:28 AM
I work in the Insurance Industry and I know from personal experience that there is a huge pressure to modernize. Especially multi-layer processes in coverage, customer relation and claims. The industry is just too complex and inefficient. So companies currently are putting a lot of money in updating their computer systems.

However, this affects mainly sales and customer experience. Not the core of the business, managing risk.

Now I found InsureX (IXT). Seems to go into that direction and I see huge potential from a business perspective. Needless to say that the global insurance market is huge.

And it is aiming to be a real world application.

Also the team seems to be solid. There are people with serious positions in the industry.

Finally IXT seems to be the only Token specifically targeting the insurance industry. While insurance may be more boring than banking, there is much more competition in disrupting banking.

What I can't really judge is the tech behind it because I lack the knowledge. Can somebody have a look at it? Any other thoughts?

Disclaimer: I bought some IXT.

76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 21, 2017, 09:42:57 AM
Do I need to hold the GBYTE in my Byteball Wallet or can I also hand in my Bittrex address?

And can I hand in my BTC address on exchanges?

Also where can I sign up for E-Mail notification of upcoming distributions?

Yes, you need to hold them in your wallet, although I've read that some exchanges will give you the bytes that should be yours. To be sure, put them in your own wallet.
Also, you need to talk to the transition bot in the wallet, and give them your wallet address
AND, if you don't do that, you won't get black bytes.

You need to prove that you own your BTC, so you can't use exchanges to hold your BTC.
To prove you own the BTC, you can send some small amount to the transition bot (following the instructions), or sign a message.
The content of the message signature should be your byteball address, but first you need to tell the bot your BTC address.
Anyways, talk with the bot for everything

Distributions happen once a month every full moon, the next one is posted on the first post of this thread (you should really read all of the first post)

I also made a small guide here:
https://byteballblog.wordpress.com/how-to-get-free-byteballs
And I hope it can answer the rest of your questions.

And remember that BTC addresses are tricky, if you send any BTC, your coins are put in "change addresses", so be sure to have all your BTC linked (you can link more than one BTC address!) before the next distribution starts

Do understand correctly that just having GBYTE in the wallet is not enough? I also need a Bitcoin Wallet?
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 21, 2017, 08:06:57 AM
Can someone explain how to get the distribution?

I have some GBYTE on Bittrex. What do I have to do and how much will I receive?

You need to hold GBYTES or link the bitcoin addresses you own with the transition bot, then wait for the airdrop time.. The distribution is made through airdrops, so you can't claim Byteballs at any time.

The transition bot should explain everything.

I don't know when the next airdrop will be made.

Well i didn't take a loss so far. It is slightly up.

Might moon if development is continued...
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / NAUT - to hodl or not to hodl? on: June 04, 2017, 08:51:00 AM
Bought some NAUT on Polo a while ago.

Dev said the project is halted.

So might die or really go up when development is picked up again.

Also: think it might be delisted from Polo because of halted development?

So: to hodl or not to hodl?
