i see there is 20k prize for sunday. Whats the field and entry fee?

That's the Big BTC. It costs 500 to enter (.5 BTC, about $350-400 ish?) and typically it has just over 40 people.

Hey guys! I was told to post to this forum because me and my roommates were IP banned last week for "multi-accounting" the DD freeroll. This is absurd, I simply got them into playing on your site. I've been playing for over a year and have been extremely helpful getting new players to join and helping them navigate the software. I understand you have to keep the Joey/Anita types from multi-accounting, but simply putting up a note that somebody from your IP is already playing (just like cash games) is clearly the play. My IP is 50.137.22.56 and my username is Citizen71348. My roomates are jeremy2046 and detanore (I think, it's some variation on his last name, you'll find the correct name in my references, which I can't see because I can't get into the site.)

Thanks for your help.

As far as the MTT schedule goes, it looks like it's really making progress, but as somebody said, the jump from 100/200 to 200/400 basically turns the game into flipaments. The tournaments with the 150/300 level are much better.

I don't like late registration, either, but I could see a 10-15 minute window making sense. Other sites keep it open for like an hour, which is terrible.

Also, more tournaments need breaks.

So what's the competition like here as compared to say Pokerstars? Also is the volume mostly low stakes?

Unfortunately, at least on average, the level of player here is pretty damn good.  There are a few tilters and some utter degenerates, and the occasional really horrible player.  But in general, the level of player is much higher than on Pokertards.

I think this has a lot to do with the fact the player base is largely comprised of American players who were locked out of the poker market after Black Friday after years of playing online, and who got back in largely because of just finally having a site where we could play again.  I think the fish base, such as it is, is comprised of people who have more Bitcoin than sense and got into poker fairly recently.

The last part is very true. When I first started it was more of a site where you could gamble your bitcoins. Lots of non-poker players. Now the competition is much more difficult.

Interesting response to a new customer...

pretty sure he been on boozehound for a while

I've played in BH for a while, but I always bought my entries. I just signed up for the site itself and did their little song and dance for a chip equity to play a tournament. I wish I had gone to the site earlier so I wouldn't have supported them so much in the past.

Just want to warn fellow Seals to stay away from the BH site. After hundreds of entries into their tournaments, I was banned the first time I actually posted on their site. Here's a chat log:

Whoa.
I was just thinking to register and play at the website luckly I checked this topic first. Thanks for the warning bitninja

Everything was fine until I actually had to interact with the "owner". Now he's in the seals lobby calling me names again.

15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: rouf553 scammed me for .55 btc :| on: July 04, 2013, 10:14:46 PM
BestBidder25 is an alt of rouf553. I initially suspected that when he vouched for rouf553 on the thread where BitNinja got scammed. I posted my suspicion on his thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=249325.msg2647857#msg2647857

He immediately locked the thread and deleted his vouch for rouf553 on the other thread confirming my suspicion.

Yeah, he PMed me and said he had a successful trade, and was 'sure' rouf would show up again. Now his feedback to rouf is gone, along with the others that were posted the last few days.

Re: Escrow:

I would have used if I had any idea how. Obviously I don't want to just get ripped off.

Oh well, another disappointed community member that won't trade here anymore.
16  Economy / Scam Accusations / rouf553 scammed me for .55 btc :| on: July 03, 2013, 01:43:42 AM
I tried selling BTC for MP today for my first site-based trade.

I found this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=247634.0 in which it seemed like people had successfully traded with this dude today. (I think, but am not sure, that the 'successful trades' were just dummy accounts to make it look like he had actually traded.) I messaged the guy, he responded right away, so I sent BTC:

After which he sent a message:

Something is wrong on my wallet. Please wait.

And poof gone like that. About an hour or so later, the address shipped off the coins.

A kind soul managed to track down this information:

If I'm supposed to put anything else here please let me know :\

19  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB: $120 in BTC with Amazon Payments on: July 02, 2013, 06:40:38 PM
With the dip in BTC price, I am looking to pick up $120 worth. I have Amazon Payments cash (NOT GIFT CODES). Will use escrow and all that. Thanks for reading!

$120 for how many BTC ?

Market value. Although after being ripped off on this site for my first trade I doubt I'll be doing another.
