in truth, this is the first time I have seen such an interesting and profitable idea. Please note that there will be not only an increase in the importance of cryptocurrency as an asset, but also professionals will trade in your place.

I am struggling to understand how any crypto would be supported by anyone after something like this: http://imgur.com/a/fTye4#10 (pdf: http://maxminer.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/ftc_51attack.pdf)

Quote
There exists a Feathercoin user holding about a fifth of all coins with the intent and capability to execute a highly damaging attack to the network and its users.

We have recently brought online new Litecoin Dice system: http://litecoindice.com

The system is fully automated with build-in verification of random numbers and transactions. Please review "HOW TO PLAY" section before playing.

Please gamble responsibly!

Enjoy!

http://litecoindice.com

Litecoin variant of the famous Satoshi Dice casino game.

- Litecoin Dice does not support micro-betting. Minimum bets are such that you win at least 0.2 LTC. The exception are bets on numbers less then 32, where having a larger bet may produce more winnings then the balance of the house. Addresses for betting below 16 have been removed as they are not practical with the current litecoin fee schema. If litecoin fees change, we will update the system accordingly.

- In case of a loss, player is returned 0.005% of the bet amount or 0.01 (whichever is greater) as a notification transaction.

- In case of a win, the system will deduct a 0.1 transaction fee before sending the winnings to the player.  The system will cover additional fees if required by the network.

- Occasionaly, user may pay fees of 0.1 LTC (enforced by the Litecoin client).

Correct.  And recently someone put an ASIC on TRC causing difficulty to jump so high, so that when they have pulled it, the network stalled producing confirmation blocks every few hours...

TRC will be highly susceptible to ASICs and large miners until it's mining network grows at least past few gigahashes.
295  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Creating an LTC P2Pool on: April 07, 2013, 07:24:28 AM
Yes, just reed p2pool documentation.  Its the same for bitcoin as it is for litecoin, you just need to run p2pool with different command line arguments.

You then connect locally to your node and mine.  Your node will also provide http accessible statistics.

p2pool is immune to DDoS attacks.

Terrorist groups would have to convert BTC to USD to use them.. So technically they would be funded via USD.  Unless instead of attacking they want to get some stuff on silkroad and chill out..
299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin vs Litecoin [Winner Prediction] on: April 07, 2013, 05:35:35 AM
I think both will co-exist with LTC being 0.25 of BTC.

300  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pool-x or other LTC pools DDOS? on: April 07, 2013, 01:30:38 AM
All pools are getting DDOSed all the time.

notroll.in has a very good DDOS protection and hasn't gone down so far.

Also, I would recommend you try p2pool.  It is not susceptibleto DDOS attacks.
