1  Other / Meta / Re: 10 years since Satoshi joined Bitcointalk on: Today at 06:02:39 AM
I just hope people stop associating that CSW guy with the real Satoshi. If this thread blows up, you might actually start seeing some trolls that also happen to be fans of that conman.

Regardless, I think it is about time Theymos and the gang consider releasing the last known IP addresses Satoshi used to log into this forum.

Note : I am not aware of any previous threads that discussed this, so if there are, enlighten me.
2  Local / India / Re: Please do not involve me in such drama again... on: Today at 04:46:52 AM
I've said this in the TG community.

Which TG community? IndiaBits or some other? If it is not IndiaBits, could you please share a link for the same?

It's not that one. It's a pretty exclusive group for Indians only that are working towards the betterment of this sub forum, and then some. If you want to join, go talk to Heisenberg.

Other than that you can join a different community as well, this is run and maintained by me a some trusted users on this forum : https://t.me/CrptoLoversWW
3  Local / India / Re: Buying bitcoin with cash on: Today at 03:58:26 AM
is it possible to buy BTC with cash in India? If yes, How?

It's a simple process.

1. Find someone you trust.

2. Make sure that person has Bitcoins.

3. Hope and pray to your god that they are dumb enough to agree to a cash transaction with you, carries the Bitcoin with them when they meet you.

4. Pray to your dear god that the person is not a scammer or a criminal capable of doing you bodily harm to take your cash.

5. If everything goes well, agree upon a sale price.

6. Acquire the Bitcoins.

7. Close this thread.

Like I said, its a simple process.
4  Other / Meta / Re: Optimal environment for bitcointalk - Improvements 1. Punishment for False accus on: November 16, 2019, 09:21:04 AM
The One above all, do you have a job? I am seriously worried about the state of your mental health, are you so diabetic that your own blood is rotting away your brain cells? Or are you intentionally trying to be a fuck up didly doo at everyone's face because your main account would have some "content" to respond to or make fun of?

Seriously, if this is your form of entertainment then you need a therapist. NO! pay attention now, I did not say THE RAPIST, I said THERAPIST. Get one as soon as possible and perhaps most, if not all of your delusions will go away.
5  Local / India / Re: Bithumb to launch in India - A thumb to eye for Anti-Bitcoin gang! on: November 15, 2019, 04:15:43 PM
as i was saying before, there are always a new solutions for us, we wont be missed in dark by crypto world
we have many entrepreneur whom are very creative on finding new ways of being involved in crypto and no one can stop us

here is a new solution by Cashaa

https://news.bitcoin.com/cashaa-launches-banking-solution-for-indian-crypto-owners/

Never heard of Cashaa before. Even prior to setting up an on/off-ramp for Bitcoin they need to work on their own brand identity. I am sure there are many like me around the world that have no clue about their existence. Let alone us bhole bhale Indians.
6  Local / India / Please do not involve me in such drama again... on: November 15, 2019, 04:02:19 PM
I've said this in the TG community. And I'll make this clear here now.

Quote
Listen. I'll be damn clear about this guys.
From here on out if you are including my name in any votes or whatever, please ask me, because I will say no 90% of the time.

There are people that hate me and can't stand the sight of my name and there are people that dearly love me in this community. So when you pitch my name against someone like Darkstar and low and behold I get more votes then people will think I am pulling in favors. Which is absolutely bullshit and wrong.

I do not want such drama with me because we Indians are like crabs, if one succeeds, other one pulls back. Please keep me out of such shit in future.

This was my original message.

I had no idea my name was being thrown around as a potential manager or escrow. It was only when someone informed me, I came to know about it.
I did vote in it and I voted for myself. At the time I had 0 votes.

However the voting picked up speed and at a time my votes equalled that of Darkstar or it might have even surpassed it.

This might have stung some people, how could I get enough votes to match or beat Darkstar at anything.

Before I clear that, I must bring your attention to this:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5191613.msg53004997#msg53004997
Quote
Think I have voiced my opinion on this before. Thanks for the consideration. I don't think anyone could be a better option than Darkstar_ here because unlike me, he is really trusted by many people on this forum and he has proved his mettle.

Though this is no endorsement, just my opinion which is unbiased despite him helping me in my time of need.

I was already supporting Darkstar for the job, and if I am not wrong, by the time I posted this message, Darkstar already had the job of the escrow. Correct me if I am wrong.

Darkstar and I are in cordial terms with each other, he has lent me money in the past and part of that loan I am still paying back. There was and is absolutely no doubt in my mind about if Darkstar is the right guy for the job.

Then comes this troll Rotten Egg or whatever his name is. He starts throwing allegations that Darkstar is favored because someone wants to get on the DT by being on DS' trust list. Darkstar does not hand out trust like that and I am no one to tell you how Darkstar hands out his trust, he'll be the judge of that but he does not get manipulated like a pleb and a mere few hundred dollars worth of escrow job would definitely not get you in his trust list.

Regardless, today I saw theymos posted here because someone asked for voter's names. My question is why? Is it because I was involved and I got so many votes? Or was it because Darkstar was given the job despite not being Indian?

Whatever the moot point is, it does not matter and it is a total time waster. Either way, I never wanted the job and whether Darkstar is chosen or not is the sole discretion of whoever the money belongs to. Why is the unnecessary drama being created here with my name?

Here on out, if anyone of you is putting my name in any voters list without asking me, you would be instantly blocked and distrusted. If I had to do politics here I would have started years ago.

Please keep me out of such shit.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the not-so-known ways to generate crypto? on: November 13, 2019, 04:02:26 PM
Everyone talks about blogging, commerce, using referral systems, bounty, campaign signatures, streaming, selling courses, offering their services in gaming, camwhore. But there are other not so known ways to generate/earn cryptos?

Yes there is. Simply work for crypto instead of fiat. You need to work to live right? Instead of researching novel ways to find ways to earn crypto, why don't you make it your livelihood? Trust me it can be done. You would just need a reliable off-ramp to cash out your crypto to your local currency, that way you would be able to pay for your living expenses and save some crypto on the side as well. Think about this.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think the Bounty program is over? on: November 13, 2019, 02:02:09 PM

Of course, the ICO market has died a lot, but I think the Bounty program will continue until a new marketing plan is released.
As long as there are bottomfeeding bounty spammers who dont care about spam in this forum and only how to abuse bounties to fill their ulcerated stomachs, they will continue.

I sense a dangerous level of hostility in your words here. So what if someone is poor and trying to earn small amounts of money to feed themselves and their family? Why do you look down upon them?
The bounty spammers exist because the forum is run in a way that does not put a stop to shit like that.

No need to disgrace the "bottom feeders". I know not all bottom feeders are poor and depraved people but rather just multi account farming shitfucks, but still dude. Let's not look down upon the shittery that we ourselves have created.
9  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet makes me stress asking me proof ID and freezing my wallet on: November 13, 2019, 01:47:53 PM
Not sure what you want to achieve by posting this here now while there are hundreds of people online that have complained before about Freewallet and how you should not be using their service because they keep freezing funds for the absurdest of reasons.

You didn't read the warning label my friend.
10  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The biggest scammer on bitcointalk, help me to hunt him down on: November 13, 2019, 01:01:17 PM
I didnt want to dig this up but this seems another massive scale account farming that is a lot similar to what Kabit9 was doing.
Btw that report is still unhandled as no admin seems to be interested in banning the accounts connected.

See if you can find some connection between the accounts here in this data set with that one.
11  Local / India / Re: Bitcoin Ban Means India Will Get More Corrupt Under Modi Tim Draper on: November 07, 2019, 07:34:29 PM
Tell Modi that Bitcoin came out of a Cow. He will accept it. Or give lecture in some temple that Cow milk contains hashes of Blockchain data. People will drink that up like tea..
Sad thing.. our India may be free our mindset are not..

You deserve way more merit for this hilarious post.
Sadly I have none to give you. All I can give you is my agreement with your viewpoint. And welcome back to the forum.
12  Economy / Services / Re: Need partnership with an online seller 50/50 profit on: November 07, 2019, 06:30:00 PM
Before we pick on Mediabiz, let's not forget that there are high chances that the OP himself could be a scammer where he sells fake goods (or bricks instead of iphone boxes) and the account opener i.e. the legal seller gets whacked with all the refunds, claims and repurcursions.

There are too many ways this can turn into something undesirable, best to avoid.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: US Federal Reserve Hiring Retail Payments Manager to Research Digital Currencies on: November 07, 2019, 05:42:16 PM
Anything real out of such researches is a far fetched occurrence. Let's not assume that the feds have not done enough research into the field already. They have and they clearly understand the potential that cryptos possesses. What would be surprising is if they made a new tech where all the governments in the world became a sort of node for an international libra like currency but only lead by a gov instead of being independent like Bitcoin or corporate tied like Libra.
14  Other / Meta / Re: [UNBAN APPEAL] Account Icoperf on: November 07, 2019, 05:19:58 PM
You should message Hilarious or Cyrus and try to understand the real reason for the ban appeal. In your case it isn't quite clear to me. Secondly, when a user is banned they get a message in their email with a special email address where you can make your ban appeal directly to Theymos.

Although I am not sure about how efficient that process is because common sense says Theymos could be getting hundreds of ban appeals per day.
15  Other / Meta / Re: Unban Appeal from BitDeer.com on: November 06, 2019, 10:36:22 PM
Hi All,

I was just told about this thread today. My name is Steve and I am representing BitDeer for BitcoinTalk (along with other communities). Whatever they've done in the past, I'm here to make sure it doesn't get repeated. We're gonna keep it clean and just be here to service the community who are users for BitDeer and also make announcements about the service. I'll admit, I'm not an old member of BitcoinTalk, but I can read and have serviced many communities in the past. If there are any questions or concerns, just DM me. Thanks.

Steve

I've been in your community on Telegram for a while Steve, I have seen the way you manage the community there and I have no doubt that you would be a great representative for Bitdeer here on the forum. Sad that Bitdeer could not get the mods to take their appeal seriously enough in any case, I cannot comment on why that is the case.

If you need any help, my doors are always open for you.

16  Other / Meta / Re: You have received a total of 716 merits. on: November 06, 2019, 10:00:15 PM
I think people have said enough about this topic and it hasn't clearly gained enough traction. I'll lock this thread now. Thanks guys for letting me know what you think about this.
17  Local / India / Re: Ideas and Thoughts for celebrating 10th Bitcointalk Anniversary in Indian board on: November 06, 2019, 09:48:50 PM

18  Other / Meta / Re: You have received a total of 716 merit. on: October 31, 2019, 09:43:04 PM
The thing is that for the forum, what matters is the total merit you have (airdropped + earnt). This is what matters for our ranks, so there is no reason to put only the earnt in there.

That's what BPIP is for.

I can't argue there. BPIP is a fine insight into individual profiles since the stats got blocked. But still, I would prefer something that was built into this forum. But thanks for letting me know what you think. I wonder what the majority consensus is here.

2. Decaying airdropped merits if no merit is earned (For example if you don't receive any merit for a month, you will lose 10 airdropped merits)

Too much work.
19  Other / Meta / Re: What is the fastest way to get 1 Merit? on: October 31, 2019, 09:23:38 PM
I may sound like a narcissistic broken record player, but I'm going to quote myself here. (again)

Merit is a privilege, not a right. So no, there is no obligation that a good post always has to be merited.

I have never pursued after merit, never tried hard to create an infographic, or GUIDE, or anything of that sort to gain merit. I've just been myself and other members here have rewarded me with merits.

So I would suggest, that you concentrate on interacting with people rather than improving your forum rank. Merits will come on their own then. And earning merits is never about being trusted. This forum has its own messy trust system. Even this thread seems like a cheap way to beg for merit, but what do I know?
20  Other / Meta / You have received a total of 716 merits. on: October 31, 2019, 09:11:21 PM
That's what it reads on my Merit page.

Quote
You have received a total of 716 merit. This is what determines your forum rank. You typically cannot lose this merit. You have 0 sendable merit (sMerit) which you can send to other people. There is no point in hoarding sMerit; keeping it yourself does not benefit you, and we reserve the right to decay unused sMerit in the future.

But the reality is, I have only received only 214 merits as of today and sent out 351 merits (but that's not the point)

So, what I am suggesting is: To exclude the airdropped merits from the merit count, so that only the actual received merits get counted and displayed. (like on BPIP).

I'm sure this is not a problem for new accounts that were created post the merit system introduction, so I don't think this would be a priority feature request. How many of you think this should be done?
