224  Economy / Reputation / Re: He wants Sr/hero/legendary Bitcointalk id Rent. on: October 23, 2019, 05:54:58 PM
Why do they come to Bitcointalk? Just thinking of making money?

Forgetting everything else, should you really be judging someone when you yourself are wearing a signature campaign code? Isn't that a bit too hypocritical?

227  Local / India / Re: What's you view on the court case ongoing in Supreme Court-Positive or Negative? on: October 20, 2019, 10:36:24 PM
So it again got postponed. Why they aren't willing to even hear the case? I'm not being negative now and am absolutely clueless whether they want to ban it or not. Sad thing is that our Government has strong views when it comes to politics and nothing else and due to this so many exchanges went bankrupt inspite of following all legal norms.

The postponement of the date could be because of holidays.

What's exciting is this : "..many countries were cautioning on rushing into this; - Sitharaman

Despite the negative pressure from the govt. they haven't outrightly said its something that is entirely a bad thing or banned for non-commercial use. They revolve around the word caution. Sooner or later they would have to realize that their caution to the public of the virtual money being used for terrorism or to invade consumer privacy is pure bullshit that the average person can see right through. It is then when they will have to shift their narrative.
228  Local / India / Re: Bithumb to launch in India - A thumb to eye for Anti-Bitcoin gang! on: October 18, 2019, 05:11:04 AM
Bithumb has announced a special program called the Mercury program. That is how they are targeting to get into India - legally and in a regulated way, through regional players. Who knows we might see a revival of some of those defunct crypto exchanges here. Or it could even be an individual that leads the charge.

Read more about it here : https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/bithumb-global-rolls-out-partnership-program-mercury-program-300939519.html

You can read the basic details of how it'll work through the PR. I'll share more information later. For the last 3 days, I have been running around like a dog and have had no time or the capability to come online.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 13, 2019, 12:51:51 AM
Found this chart on reddit that suggest that the 2015 is already past. Jolly 2016 ahead.

I'm, not good at interpreting charts, can you explain this too me?

Wow, there is a lot going on here it seems like. I could be wrong but there are EMA and RSA in there? I am nowhere near expert enough to take a guess at these either.

@FEBO could you please share the link? I'm curious to know what this chart represents as well.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Telegram Open Network: Pavel Durov launch ICO on: October 13, 2019, 12:45:03 AM
What is Telegram Open Network?
Telegram Open Network (TON) is a blockchain network project designed to be fast, secure, scalable and capable of handling millions of transactions per second. TON is designed to be a competitor to Ethereum’s smart contracts and decentralized applications while also being extremely scalable.

Why TON?
According to Telegram, TON has been created in response to the inability of existing blockchain platforms to push for mainstream cryptocurrency adoption. TON’s solution meets the speed and scalability needs required for mass adoption of cryptocurrency while retaining its decentralized nature.

What is Gram?
The Gram token is the native utility token of TON and it is denoted by the TON triangular symbol. Gram will serve as the principal cryptocurrency for the in-app economy on Telegram and will also be available for external use. Gram will serve as the principal cryptocurrency for the in-app economy on Telegram and will also be available for external use. Until now, the only way to buy Gram tokens has been through private sale rounds, which were not open to the public. The Gram Token Sale on Liquid will be the first opportunity for the general public to buy Gram tokens. We anticipate Gram becoming one of the largest cryptocurrencies by market cap, as well as potentially the world’s most adopted cryptocurrency with the coming launch of TON to Telegram’s 200 million active users.

What are the use cases of Gram?
Gram will be used for a variety of services on TON. Services will include:

Commission ("gas") paid to TON nodes ("validators") for processing transactions and smart contracts.
Stakes deposited by validators to be eligible to validate transactions and generate new blocks and coins.
Capital lent out to validators in exchange for a share of their reward.
Voting power required to support or oppose changes in the parameters of the protocol.
Payment for services provided by apps built on the platform (TON Services) Payment for storing data securely in a decentralized way (TON Storage).
Payment for registering blockchain-based domain names (TON DNS) and hosting TON-sites (TON WWW).
Payment for hiding identity and IP addresses (TON Proxy).
Payment for bypassing censorship imposed by local ISPs (TON Proxy).
Gram will also be available for use outside of TON like any other cryptocurrency currently in the market.

wtfffff? Looks like you just made a copy paste from a article somewhere online. Why you so dumb? can someone confirm this?

Yep it is copy pasted from https://help.liquid.com/en/articles/3055524-telegram-open-network-faq - In fact you could simply copy this onto google and put "" quotation marks and search for the exact sentences. You would too be able to land on the same sites that have these ditto texts.

But why message me? I am not a serial copy paste buster, nor am I a forum admin and it seems like he is in the Cryptotalk campaign, so Yahoo should be the person you message to. Not me.

In any case, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Not sure if I can do anything though.
231  Local / India / Re: What's you view on the court case ongoing in Supreme Court-Positive or Negative? on: October 12, 2019, 11:23:39 PM
Does anyone know what happened to the 25th September date? (or the 1st October date) .. Was any progress made or was it postponed? (again)

The case was listed down the order on 25th Sep and 1st Oct causelist, so the case was not heard. Now the case is listed for hearing on 15th Oct on top of the board ie. Its 1st on the causelist. So the case will definitely be heard on 15th October.

Speaking from experience. Getting on the monthly causelist does not mean it'll def. be heard. It could be pushed down again. Seeing how little hype there is during these dates, I think it might not get covered either. Let's see what happens on Tuesday.

Out here in Calcutta, this date comes under the annual vacation dates. Not sure whats the case there...
232  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Looking for bulk buyer of btc on: October 12, 2019, 03:35:40 AM
No one will take you seriously bruh. First, post a signed message from a wallet that even has that kind of BTC in it. Otherwise, you are just a low-quality wannabe scammer.

The firm is planning to expand its services to India by partnering with local crypto exchanges

Here exchanges are struggling to catch a breath and they are looking to partner with them.

This could, in fact, bring some respite into the region. What we lack here are big players in the industry willing to take up the mantle of regulations, enforcing of those regulations, but most importantly, lobbying politically for a better conducive atmosphere for businesses to work here.

There can be no progress in a vacuum.
235  Local / India / Re: [ANN] IndiaBits - The New Beginning to India's Crypto Community on: October 10, 2019, 12:20:43 AM
Let me draw an analogy here.

You see there are hundreds of pizzerias in this country. Some branded, some internationally branded, and some like the ones you see in your canteen.

Now, the motive of all these "businesses" is not to feed the most amount of people as possible. The idea is to make the most amount of money.

Something that is against the core value of a Pizza. You see, Pizza, like Bitcoin, was made for the poor. It was made without a recipe and was made to feed the most amount of people with the least amount of labor per serving.

Bitcoin is pizza, and so is Bitcointalk.

Now why did I make this analogy?

The cryptoverse is now being controlled by people with a lot of money. Both black, white, and grey.
In such a situation, there would be ignorant governments, like ours, that would likely rebel against it, try to seclude people from it. Keep the masses underinformed.

I think, dividing the Indian community away from Bitcointalk is a bad idea. This ideology is what has kept me from diverging away from Bitcointalk for all these years and I still believe in it.

For good or worse, this place is a treasure trove and more than that is a uniting force that can let people connect with BTC people from around the world.

Do not tribalize the subject of Bitcoin so that it concentrates into small communities, do not let the Pizza become a luxury food. It is meant for the masses. Do not slice this pizza into individual Indian, Italian, mexican flavors...

Do note, I do admire that forum, I've checked it out, pretty neat and clean, exactly like what a good forum should be like.

It should focus on content generation, instead of user acquisition. I wish the Indian community was strong and large enough to support this division.

TBH, in this instance, I hope I am proven wrong and our community turns out to be really strong enough to sustain a healthy population and activity on both these forums.
236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I abandon red trust ? on: October 10, 2019, 12:00:07 AM
With about 951 posts, you are asking how to abandon red trust?

You should be knowing by now that red trust is not given by the forum but by individual people.

If they would remove the red, it depends on your communication skills, the severity for which you are red trusted and the extent of damage you have (or could have) done to this community.

You do not abandon it. You learn to live with it.
237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HELP the dumb-dumb!! I sent TUSD to a USDT wallet, is there any hope?? on: October 09, 2019, 11:55:07 PM
Nope. Please read what you said and read what i said again, as there appears to be some confusion here.

1. It was not for stating facts about your experience which you didn't do, but for your sweeping generalization:

You will not get your money back. See, exchanges, no matter what, will not take out a wrongly sent transaction to a wallet, even if they can.

Unless you are representative of this exchange (or have experience with them), you are in no position to be making this bold claim.
Not to mention we already know that this sweeping statement isn't true (this makes it misinformation):

This is not a courtroom, nothing said here is actually an obstruction to anything since I am not legally or financially advising anyone to do anything. I am not forcing anyone to shut this thread down either.

Try to read between the lines and discern where sarcasm is applied. If you cannot do that, steer clear of socializing.

Hey Dragon, not sure why Legend has such a bone to pick or just general unpleasantness in this matter to begin with.
I guess like what he stated before that it's happened to him and many others.
I do think when you're dealing with different exchanges it's a case by case matter.

Just a heads up when I checked my EXXA wallet, my original deposit of 0.115 is now showing 0.11464805, so something is happening.
My personal TUSD wallet still shows nothing.
I'm hopeful and things are still looking up.
BTW some classy retorts you had there Dragon, kudos to you🤙

I don't particularly have a bone to pick with anyone.

I saw this thread. I saw history repeating itself.

I made a comment on how you should not be expecting a positive outcome based on my own (and of several other people's) experiences before.

Then out comes this douchebag and creates a red review for my profile because I made a frigging comment about some facts? Fuck him. Fuck that kind of logic. You bet your ass I'll be hostile to you if you throw sludge at me. I cannot under any circumstance be trusting an uptight guy like that.

I wish he had communicated here before actually making the review, a red review can ruin years of hard work of trying to keep a clean reputation, anyone that does not have a regard for my views, experiences and hard work can kiss my ass.

YAAAAASSSSS!! I just checked my EXXA wallet and $4K of USDT has been deposited
I can't believe EXXA rectified the situation but they took it one step beyond even converted my original $4K of TUSD to $4K USDT and deposited the whole $4K into my EXXA wallet
WHOO-WHOO!! THANK YOU SO bitcointalk community and to DRAGON!!
A-L-O-H-A 🤙

NOW THIS IS A GOOD NEWS!

Congratulations.

This will give so many people so much more to fight with when this instance is repeated with other exchanges. At the least, it would give them hope.

- Do consider sharing all the communications between yourself and the exchange in screenshots, so as to prove your case to anyone beyond the shadow of a doubt, that what you went through is indeed the reality.

238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 09, 2019, 11:31:22 PM
Can someone please tell me where the new dildo came from?

I mean is there a particular event that I missed or what? I woke up today dreading that BTC price might have touched $7200's again but it seems like since my absence of about 18 hours from the crypto world, the price has now reached $8600 and on the way to break $9k soon.

So, what changed?

Edit: I am not complaining. I just need to know.
239  Local / India / Bithumb to launch in India - A thumb to eye for Anti-Bitcoin gang! on: October 09, 2019, 11:25:09 PM
In case you didn't hear about it, Bithumb Global to Launch Regulated Crypto Exchange in India

Could this be the resurgence of cryptomania in India?

Go ahead, let your views be heard, I'll chime in later.
240  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling Bitcointalk Accounts on: October 09, 2019, 01:18:03 AM
Just curious really and NOT because I am interested, really I am not... Wink How come such offers are not being stopped, is this allowed?

Sadly sales like these are not against the forum rules.

However, there few of us that vehemently oppose account sales and tag any accounts that are involved. Unfortunately, it is not always trackable.
