I have a plan to build zcash mining rig with 6x 1080Ti on same motherboard and 2 powersupplies (2x 1300w). will it be stable for mining?
Yup. I'm running one rig w/ 8x 1080 Tis and 1x EVGA 1600 G2, 1x EVGA 1000 G3, 2600w total is more than enough, even at 100% TDP.

I have 6 x 1080 ti in my rig and have vritual memory set to 17gb-20gb. Is this best? Or should I go bigger?
What PSU(s) are you running for that setup?

I stand corrected. Thank you for the info / confirmation.

I have 9 rigs (6x 1070s ea.) going now in an apartment with a 200A panel. Dealing with the heat was definitely a process. I upgraded the fans you see in the video to 3x 6200CFM (they are 3-speed and we have only needed 4000 CFM for now up to 88 degrees ambient outside temp). I have two pushing air out the big window which creates negative pressure and pulls in a ton of air from the side window. The third one is on standby for now and interestingly the temp actually goes up if I set the 3rd one up to pull air in the side window. Temp inside usually stays within 7 degrees of ambient outside temp with 2x fans exhausting heat out the big window at 4000CFM per fan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCcBGX0E8ns

Let me save you the trouble - you can only get 6 nvidia cards working unless you go to a server mobo with 2x processors. We put extensive time in testing with H81 and Z97 gaming 5 + pcie splitter. It's an issue with the amount of memory / pci lanes available. If you do get it to work somehow, please let us know. Good luck.

Hey! Can you help? Im using Zec miner 0.3.3b and MSI Afterburner. Settings to all 4x GPUs are 80, 100, 500. And each of them giving about 470 sol. But sometimes after restarting miner some of the GPU is giving 410 sol instead of 470 as always. So its become 470 410 470 470. What could it be and how to fix that? It can be fixed if i manually will make default settings in Afterburner and bring it back to 80, 100, 500 in this GPU. Or restarting PC is helping too. This is how it looks like Are you, by chance, remoting into that desktop using something like Chrome Remote Desktop?

I have 54x 1070s of many different flavors. I can usually find them for about $340 a card and the rigs average about 2750-2850 Sol/s at 1KW. This equates to roughly 460 Sol/s on average.

How much does a GTX 1070 do in ethereum?
31.5 MH/s overclocked.

Bump! I guess no one really mines this coin anymore. It is quite surprising to see some huge hash power on coinotron from time to time (when the difficulty reduces). I have seen hash power upwards of 100 MH, i don't think this is a dead coin if people are throwing that much hash power its way! Still hopeful! It wasn't that TeamGreen guy on Coinotron was it?

This is our new Poseidon prototype - 6x EVGA Hybrid GTX 1070s. We are still a newer account so can't embed yet. Here is a short video with the rest of our rigs. https://youtu.be/zCcBGX0E8ns

Intriguing results for low power compared to 100% TDP.
OLD
EVGA Hybrid GTX 1070 x 6
TDP 100% Temp Limit 83 (Unlinked) Core +125 Mem +575 Fan Speed Auto (usually stays around 28%)
NHEQ 0.5a - Equihash (ZEC on Flypool) - 2635 H/s Excavator 1.1.0a - Equihash (ZEC on Flypool) - 2680 H/s
NEW
EVGA Hybrid GTX 1070 x 6
TDP 75% Temp Limit 83 (Unlinked) / Voltage locked to 0.85V (108-113W per card) Core +137 Mem +600 Fan Speed Auto (usually stays around 28%)
Excavator 1.1.3a - Equihash (ZEC on Flypool) - 2510 H/s
This is intriguing when you run 8 rigs in an apartment (48x GTX 1070) as the outside temp starts to warm up. It's also interesting because at 70-75 TDP I could easily run 3x rigs per 20A circuit.

It's pretty simple really. Dash exploded, demand for their miners skyrocketed and at present they cannot keep up w/ that demand. Honestly if I were them I would be raising pricing substantially - it's all about leverage. Be patient, stop whining and focus on something else until more become available.

Can't do 7x 8gb nvidia cards on msi z97 - memory address / allocation issue that I think is hard coded to mobo. I went deep down that rabbit hole messing with IRQ settings, memory addresses and a bunch of other stuff before figuring this out. You can run 7x 4gb cards on that board - most people use 470s or 480s for this.
I have 7 3gb cards, 1060 but I only have a celeron 34$ proc in it That should work just fine, with 3gb cards.

What CPU are you using? I heard it requires a XEON for extra pcie lanes. It's not an issue with having enough PCIE lanes, as that board does. I think it's the 8gb cards causing a limitation with memory allocation. One person that I know of got around this issue but could only use 3.5gb per card. The other option is a server backplane with 2x xeons - but it's cost prohibitive for mining.

Hey ocminer - what are the odds of recompiling 0.5a to support more than 4 GPUs? I noticed that your compiled version of 0.5a keeps GPU usage constant at 100% vs. 0.5c by Nicehash. I get moderately better Sol/s running two instances of your version of 0.5a vs. Nicehash current release of 0.5c. nheqminer-djezo suprnova v.0.5a https://github.com/ocminer/nheqminer-djezo/releases

Interesting post. Thanks for the data. I think a longer time horizon would be needed to adequately compare pools with PPLNS. Also, did you compare fees?

Check out OCLink by Antec. Simplifies the process for you. I know you can use this feature on any of the platinum rated PSUs by Antec and possibly others. Seems like most people go 2x 850w but they also have 1000w available if you need it.
