1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs really DEAD or simply cleared a path for better projects? on: February 01, 2020, 03:21:05 AM
maybe some projects decided to wait for a more stable market
if no one is investing their money now why should they launch an ICO
A project that is really good does not really have any reason to wait, they are going to get investors if what they are proposing makes sense and they have a chance of becoming successful in the future.

The only projects that are waiting for things to improve are those that have no chance of becoming successful on their own and depend on the market to be in the middle of a bubble to get some kind of success and it is obvious that if you are a serious investors you should not ever invest in those projects.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO vs ICO my opinion, tell me yours on: February 01, 2020, 02:59:11 AM
What power are you talking about? Just because exchanges are the only thing standing between investors and new projects doesn't actually mean power, they are taking a big risk as well, once a good exchange introduce a IEO project that scam people that's the end for such exchange, they just ruined their reputation and no body will trust them again
In a rational world that is what it will happen but it is not true, many exchanges have released a bunch of projects that did not had any success and they are still very popular despite all of this.

Exchanges for some reason do not seem to be held accountable for what happens with the coins they support and until this changes they are going to keep supporting those projects since there are no negative consequences for their actions.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin & Its Momentum on: February 01, 2020, 02:40:12 AM
As it stands, Bitcoin along with many other Digital Currencies have been on a Rampage recently. Some achieving all new highs while BTC is sitting on top of 9k+ usd. Only question that comes to mind now is what next? Will it have enough momentum to break thru to the 10k usd mark or will we see a major price correction? As usual any thoughts and comments are more than welcome.
At this point it seems very likely that we are going to see another attempt to try to make the price of bitcoin to reach 10k again, but it is going to be very difficult for bitcoin to reach that price because it is a huge psychological barrier.

Also I cannot help but think that there is a possibility there is a huge level of manipulation going on and all of those that bought recently are going to regret it and lose a significant amount of money if the price of bitcoin begins to go down.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT HAPPENS IF BTC TOUCHES 100K ? on: February 01, 2020, 02:19:33 AM
Bitcoin touches the price of $ 100k Shocked if that happens then some altcoins will also experience price increases especially ethereum will definitely reach a price of $ 10k or more
That is really doubtful there is a lot more ethereum than bitcoin and if it reached a price of 10k when bitcoin reached 100k then that will mean that the market cap of ethereum will be half of the one bitcoin had at that moment.

And that does not seem realistic to me when the the difference between the market caps of bitcoin and ethereum is above 8x in favour of bitcoin and it seems that distance is increasing as the price of bitcoin become higher.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: February 01, 2020, 01:58:19 AM
Who cares if they are profitable than ETH now? What you should look at is the long term not short term gains, many dragons are still sleeping and this present bitcoin surge has no impact on them yet, these sleeping dragons will outperform many coins that are pumping presently, ETH is no nonsense crypto coin
We need to be honest most people do not really care about anything except the profits they can get and if they cannot get profits from a coin most of the time they think the coin is a scam even if that is not the case.

And in the case they get profits they think of that project as a legitimate project even if it is a scam, and that is the case with all of those bitcoin forks which are nothing but scam coins but since they are still giving good profits people do not really care about t.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know if a gambling site is scam or not? on: January 23, 2020, 03:41:10 AM
Read previous players' comments on some of the gambling forums and you will soon learn if it is a scam or not. If many people are complaining about being ripped off or taken for a ride, then the chances are that the site is a scam.
It depends on who is giving the comments or giving the review or feedback. There are people out there who are paid to give positive reviews to sites even when the site does not deserve such positive review. Some site owner would even go to the distance of creating multiple accounts in a forum just create a buzz or hype but in reality they are just talking among themselves. To be safe, go with sites that are operating for quite sometime and site should have no problem in withdrawing funds, just like when people deposit funds.
A good strategy if what you are trying to do is to find out if a particular bitcoin casino is legitimate or not is to look around the forum and see the opinion the majority of the users have about it.

It is obvious there are going to be some players not happy with the casino for some reason or another but if the majority of the members of the forum which have a good reputation think a casino is legitimate then that could be an indicator for you to decide to gamble in that casino.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Trend for 2020. on: January 23, 2020, 03:12:49 AM
There is now a transition that is happening where the bearish trend of the bitcoin is now becoming bullish. The bitcoin is currently consolidating, you will see it by using darvas box. Once the price breakout in the darvas box with an increase in volume then it is a good sign because it is the meaning is the buyers are now in control.
While I agree there is a transition taking place we are not going to get a confirmation of that until as you say there is a positive breakout with good volume, which is not something we are seeing right now.

It could always be possible the bulls eventually give up and the price begins to go down very rapidly, this has not happened and we will also need a confirmation of this happening, so the best thing to do now is to just watch the market and wait until it gives a clear verdict about where it wants to go.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODL HODL portfolio on: January 23, 2020, 02:42:17 AM

Just look at Bitcoin SV, right now is the best performing coin and many are investing in it when its price is so high and most likely that coin will go down during the next days and weeks leaving a handful of rich investors and the rest will lose their money.

Exactly! People see what they want to see. Bitcoin SV founder has made so many promises and lies,,, that keep getting shown and yet people forget and choose to believe what cannot be hoped. Then when the price will crash, they will wonder why it happened and blame the whole world around them!
It seems that most investors do not really get how the market really works, those that sold at the top got their profits out of those that bought their coins because of FOMO, and while it should be nice to wake up one day and see that you have tripled your money only the minority of investors will experiment something like that.

The rest will experiment losses between 20% to 40% and I really think BSV has a lot of room to keep crashing before we see an end to this.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries testing digital assets in 2020 on: January 23, 2020, 02:07:09 AM
I smell something fishy about these countries trying to enter the crypto world. It is good that governments of these countries can see the potential of crypto currencies in terms of its accessibility and service to have a cashless society, but we can't stop thinking that maybe governments of the said countries have their hidden motives in entering and making their own cryptos. They will be able to control it just like what they want in bitcoin that they cannot control.
Anyway if it will help them to lessen the hustle but rather improve the services where these cryptos will be used, it can still be considered as a good idea.
It is obvious they are doing this not because they want to help people they are doing this because they want to benefit out of this, to me their plan is simple, just as they decieved people and took away their gold they are going to try to do the same with their bitcoins.

Lucky for us most of those that are invested in bitcoin think of it as a form of money that should be stored for the long term, but another goal of them by creating those currencies is to try to slow down adoption and I think they may be successful in that aspect.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020 Bitcoin halving!!! Bull run??? on: January 22, 2020, 05:23:07 AM
Honestly I'm again alive with what I am seeing now, bitcoin already trading at $8,000 after being down for months and stayed at $6K+ for awhile.
With the halving is happening in 126 days from now, if that bullish start we have now will continue, this should create a great price nearing the event.

I'm quite too optimistic but this is how people react when they saw bitcoin is moving bullish.
let's check this schedule again and again (https://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/)
The price increase that we have seen during the last weeks is without a doubt promising but we should not let our guard down, for what I'm seeing there are several indications that the price increase that we are seeing is not going to last, maybe I am wrong but if I am not then I will not be surprised to see the price below 8000 again.

I really think that people are too hyped about the halving and this is blinding them to the realities of the market and what it can achieve in a short amount of time.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Teach me how to fish on: January 22, 2020, 04:58:55 AM
Everyone keeps pointing to trading as the best alternative to earning in this bear market but my past experience about trading was bad and now i am willing to give a try again, can any one give me good guide? don't just tell me to find strategy without giving me any, teach me how to fish
Honestly, no one can teach you all things. Today, you can learn anything quickly with Google Search, but to be honest, did you really trust that knowledge? I'm sure it just a half or less than that!

The experience can't share through some articles, guides, etc. You must become a trader, trade every day and get your experiences! That's all!
And that is the issue, some of the best traders around the world are still learning and doing everything they can to try to get an edge over their competition, I have read a lot of books about trading and it seems that it doesn't matter how much I read I always learn something new.

It is impossible for us to teach someone else how to trade with just a forum post, it is also very important that people make an effort to look for that information by themselves and then ask questions about a specific point they do not understand.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin becoming a safehaven currency in Argentina on: January 22, 2020, 04:39:09 AM
If the Argentine authorities could not maintain the stability of the peso, they should not impose restrictions on the purchase of foreign currency. They essentially put their citizens in a hopeless position. It is good that Bitcoin is not controlled by any government agencies. The population can at least exchange the rapidly devaluing peso to Bitcoins.
It is without a doubt a very unfair policy, but once you understand that governments are not in place to help people but instead to keep their power and if possible to increase it then it makes complete sense why they are doing that.

They are imposing those restrictions on the ability of people to obtain foreign currency because if they didn't do that then their currency will crash and they do not want that because if that happened not only that will damage the economy and the honest people of Argentina that will also damage their image to the point it will be impossible for them to remain in power.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin if there is a global economic crash? on: January 22, 2020, 04:16:53 AM
This is really something that should not happen at all, we know how much money we will all lose not only banks will close but even businesses, and worst thing our local currency will have no value just like Venezuela, so I don't think that people will prefer to buy Bitcoin at that time or will prefer buying golds.
We have economic crises all the time but a global economic crash is way more unlikely, however if it comes to pass most people are not going to worry about trying to buy bitcoin because their money is going to be worth nothing, at that time people are going to be worried about their survival and getting enough food and water.

It seems like a very dramatic scenario, and it is, and that is why I do not want it to happen, but if governments keep creating currency as if there are no bad consequences for it then at some point that will happen.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading candle stick reading, anyone? on: January 22, 2020, 03:52:26 AM
Any information or source about how to read candle sticks? Some few traders are able to take advantage of recent bitcoin ups and downs, e.g 8800- 9000 bitcoin movement and they have been making gains from this ups and down, any info will be appreciated thanks
The Internet is full of information about how to read candlesticks, what I do not know is why you want to choose such a method to try to make money in the markets, I ask this because reading those kind of patterns is always going to be very subjective.

It is better for you that you find another way to trade the markets and the only way to do that is to read several books about the subject and find one method that you like and that has a real chance of making profits in the future.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is the perfect time to sell BTC? on: January 21, 2020, 04:39:03 AM
If you're holding bitcoin for long term you might specify for how long I should hold my Bitcoin, is it for 5 years, 10 years or so. But if you're holding Bitcoin for short term you should sell them once the price is going up, yeah buy low and sell high. I personally hold Bitcoin as a long term investment, even if the price is going up I don't sell my coins because I have specified the period for holding Bitcoin. when the time comes and the price is skyrocket I will sell those coins.
I am not so sure that it is the best idea to sell your coins after an arbitrary amount of time, unless you have been holding your coins for years and you have endured some crashes in the market it is difficult to know if you are still going to hold your coins in the case a negative event occurs.

I know I can hold my bitcoins because I endured the bear market of 2018 and I am still here but many people will not be able to do something like that even if they thought they could.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Big risk ,big results. on: January 21, 2020, 04:18:09 AM
A guy bought a very big house, which triggered an argument on a telegram group.
some people were arguing on a telegram group that they guy couldn't have bought the house with only trading profit....some insinuated that he must be into other businesses.
I laughed at their ignorance.
Why? Because I know that even in this present market condition that some skilled traders are making a killing.
I'm not talking about traders who trade with small capital here.
The conclusion is that when you trade with massive capital ,you earn massively.

Generally speaking, I believe that a big risk is a poorly thought out strategy. The risk should be minimal, otherwise you can lose everything, and this is just a lottery. This is not professional.

The topic of finance is not a place for heroes, here the one who “thinks well” over the course of his actions and, most importantly, thinks through the risks well is the “winner”!
I have the same thoughts those that have become really successful when it comes to investing use very conservative strategies and as soon as the idea they had about the movement in the market gets invalidated they get out of their position and accept the small loss while newbie traders keep holding their positions hoping the market is going to turn around and when it does not they lose such a huge amount of money that it becomes impossible for them to ever recover the money they lost.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: xrp to 28$ on: January 21, 2020, 03:56:35 AM
That will not happen, in my opinion the highest price of xrp will only reach 8 $ -11 $ because there are already many altcoins so investors are not going to buy too much xrp and also xrp is a major altcoin that has a large trading volume is difficult to make prices rose for investors
Did you took the time to read my post that was just a few posts above you, a price of 10 dollars for each XRP will require a growth of 50 times its current value.

And it will require a market cap of 500 billion dollars, the whole market of cryptocurrencies is worth only 238 billions, even if all the other coins in the market crashed except for ripple that will not be enough to push the price to even half of your prediction, so please stop expecting that such prediction will come true because it wont.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social experiments in the world of gambling on: January 21, 2020, 03:32:49 AM
What help do you mean here? Giving some money or suggestion to him? If it is about the suggestion, I will always be ready to help anytime. But once helping a gambler with money, I am not really sure since it won't recover him from addiction, nor their loss. We may relieve his loss at that time but he will make another loss tomorrow. So, I think it is not an effective way or the right way to help him.
There is more sense in the point you made. An addicted gambler will always be one till they fully make up their mind to stop. Coupled will self will an dedication.
If one help them with money, there is higher chances they will go back especially when he got it easily. He or she will believe they will beg and the money will come. Later help them in solving their problem than giving them cash.
Yes, no one will give them money for reasons about this case, once they are given money then they will do it again and again, it would be better to help him get out of gambling addiction by getting him to work or anything that basically there are still many solutions another better and more effective way to help her get out of this suffering.
This is very common with most of those that are addicted to something, they will deny it but as soon as they get in trouble they are going to ask for help and if you do not give it to them then they are going to blame you for their problems even if they are the ones that are completely responsible for them.

And if you try to give them an advice about how to leave their gambling problem they will never accept it thinking you want to take control of their life even if you just want to help them.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is for you scam project and what is for you good project? on: January 21, 2020, 03:06:10 AM
Honestly it is hard to identify the scam projects because all we know that scammers are not an idiot. But for me scam project are having a very good offer but while the project is on going suddenly all of features and procedure while change. And a good project will be recognized by it's existence and number of participant that will have and continues growth.
That is very common, many people think this only happen in bounty campaigns when the developers change the rules but this happens all the time, I see many projects with a road map but as soon as they begin the development of their project they begin to change the dates of when things will be ready and people just accept the delays but most of the time there are no delays because they are not really working on the project and they are just trying to find the best moment to disappear.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space? on: January 16, 2020, 05:42:48 AM
from every side, fraudulent projects almost killed the entire cryptoqurrency space including project investor confidence. actually not only now, but fraud projects have existed since then and still continue today. we can't eliminate it completely but we can still avoid it by not participating in suspicious projects.
Scams are not going to kill the market of cryptocurrencies what it is going to happen is that the scams are going to kill the market of icos and any other similar market that emerges in the future.

And while that is a shame since there are talented developers out there that could make use of our support if they are really smart then they will need to find a way to profit from their idea without the need to have to create an ico just like satoshi did when he created bitcoin.
