61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes need to avoid in day trading on: February 28, 2019, 03:12:47 PM
Nobody actually goes into trading to make mistakes that will lead to a loss of investment. Mistakes in day trading can be made repeatedly when we embark on the wrong things. One of the mistakes to avoid during day trading, is not to hold a position for too long, once you've placed a position, target for a reasonable profit and exit the trade.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not intended to be a stock. Blockchain has nothing to do with price on: February 28, 2019, 01:23:49 PM
There are many diverse opinions as to what bitcoin truely is. Though some say it should not been seen as currency, others think otherwise. Though most individuals do ponder on what brings about the value of this coin, one common thing seen by everyone, is that this digital coin does have value.
63  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for the Inexperienced Traders on: February 28, 2019, 09:24:46 AM
Trading for inexperienced traders can be tagged as "the losing traders" because trading comes with experience and when you do not have this experience, it results to you incurring losses on your investments.
Experience only comes when you practice and master your craft - by avoiding things that repeatedly makes you lose in trades. This can be achieved when you adhere to some basic principles of trading.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fell for FUD. Stand your ground bitcoiners! on: February 28, 2019, 06:28:19 AM
Fear, Uncertainty and doubt is a common syndrome to most investors, most especially the big investors. It is an emotion that gets hold of individuals even when they try not to give in. This can actually be curtained when you risk an amount you know you can path with.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make Bitcoin more approachable to common users on: February 27, 2019, 10:20:33 PM
Despite all the awareness created regarding bitcoin, people still have diverse opinions on the digital currency. Most individuals are still adamant about not accepting it as a form of currency. I believe it has been made most approachable to common users through every means possible.
Until it becomes globally accepted and recognized, the acceptance of the digital coin will still be a thing of choice.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sign of bull run? on: February 27, 2019, 03:59:09 PM
BTC touch $4187
ETH touch $164
In recent days the market situation has always been green and almost all altcoins have increased. Is this a sign of bull run?

The cryptocurrency market has been seen to be in a dip for some time now. Bitcoin before now, went below $4000 while ethereum went below $100. Now that it seems to have touched $4187 and $164 for Bitcoin and Ethereum respectively, is actually not a sign of a bull run because the market is still going back and forth. I believe until bitcoin exceeds $5000 and ethereum exceeds $200, only then could there be a bull run.
67  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: risk in hodling and trading strategy on: February 27, 2019, 02:25:42 PM
Hodling was supposed to be a sure way of making profit in the cryptocurrency market or in any other similar market. But as we have noticed in recent times, it is a strategy that has not worked for some existing investors whom the market is still currently against. The risk involve in this strategy is that there is no certainty to the existence of cryptocurrency and likewise, there is no prediction to how high the market can grow or to how low it can fall.
But on a final note, hodling is a risk worth taking in trading, when you have a low entry point.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Electricity: Threat or Blessings on: February 27, 2019, 11:43:37 AM
It is actually true that bitcoin as a digital currency, requires the use of an electricity to complete its transactions. Whether the consumption of electricity is high or not during mining, it can actually not be compared to the benefit it brings afterwards. As for me, i think its a blessing rather than a threat, and the energy consumption should be seen as a paid price.
69  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: failure to gain profit on: February 27, 2019, 07:17:33 AM
The very essence of going into any trade is to actually make profit, but most of the times, the reverse is the case and we end up incurring losses due to one reason or the other. However, i think one of the most common used strategy in making profits, is to buy low; hold and sell at a profit; disregarding any ups and downs of the market.
70  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common Errors of Trading on: February 26, 2019, 11:25:09 PM
To be a successful trader, requires acquiring the right knowledge and skills of trading. There are so many errors traders make on a daily basis and even repeatedly. For one to become a successful trader, you need avoid the common errors of trading - most especially not trading with emotion and the application of risk management on trades.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want to see for Bitcoin - A stable or a volatile market? on: February 26, 2019, 10:18:42 PM
The bitcoin market like every other markets is known to be volatile, and it has been seen that the crypto market is highly volatile, which in turn has scared most potential investors away. It is on a certain note that the market cannot be stable, as it is moved by so many factors. But in my own opinion, i still think that a certain level of stability would make the market better.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to replace fiat on: February 26, 2019, 04:09:14 PM
Cryptocurrency and fiat currency, are two distinct currencies with different mode of operations. Bitcoin might dominate fiat currency, but i believe fiat currency will still be in existence as a back up currency used in making smaller day to day transactions, and also serve as an alternative means of making transaction whenever there is a failure in the operation of the digital currency.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is the world's 3rd strongest currency on: February 26, 2019, 02:42:10 PM
There is one thing i actually ponder on, and that is how bitcoin as a digital coin, that is not globally accepted, attain a height like this. For the fact that it can be ranked third as the world's strongest currency,  certainly means that there is a future for the coin and cryptocurrency at large.
74  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: stop loss management on: February 26, 2019, 12:53:42 PM
In trading, setting a stop loss, seem to be very important, because as we all know that the market usually fluctuate in price, there is always a tendency that you can lose all your investment capital on a single trade that is without a stop loss. Risk management in trading is always vital and after calculating what your risk management would be on a single trade, a stop loss of ratio 1:2 can be applied, i.e set stop loss at the ratio 1, and take profit at ratio 2.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has changed? Is it moving forward? on: February 26, 2019, 11:11:01 AM
Hi All,

I have been in cryptocurrency since 2014 but last 3 years I took a break from it. I had high hopes how it can change the financial world.

I would like to get back into it but first I would like to find out what is cryptocurrency today.

Is it just a trading commodity, long term investment or is it (very very very) slowly replacing fiat. I know there are many companies and small shops that accept cryptocurrency but is that it? Is the problem still about the speed of a transaction

Please help me catch up a little Smiley

Well, since you said you have been away for 3 years now, it will interest you to know that cryptocurrency attained a great height in 2017, in terms of price. But from the time you started which is 2014 to the current day that we are in right now, it can still be said that cryptocurrency has not actually changed, but has rather gained more recognition and acceptance.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin reduced price an opportunity to buy? on: February 26, 2019, 06:47:33 AM
Well, as we all know that the price of bitcoin fluctuates from time to time and that the stability of the market cannot be ascertained; so also we do not know if the current price is a better opportunity to buy. But one thing we know for sure is that the price of bitcoin dropped from 20k(a height which the currency attained in 2017) to 3k(which is the current price range of the market).
Having this analysis in mind and having comparing the margin, one can actually say that the bitcoin reduced price is a buy opportunity.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to trade during red market? on: February 25, 2019, 10:22:15 PM
The market is often times seen to be either red or green, due to conditions based on when there is either an increase or a decrease in price. However, trading under these two conditions may bring about profits, when you have the right knowledge to go about it.
For me, trading during the red market requires me knowing the current state of the market and knowing what support range it has attained - this usually enables me to have a good entry.
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: A chance for Bitcoin to rise! on: February 25, 2019, 08:04:00 PM
There is no doubt to the fact that most people incurred losses on their investment during the crash in price. It can also be said that these individuals have not recovered their losses. Now that the price is gradually coming back up, is a good sign for better days.
79  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this the beginning of the arrival of a bull run? on: February 25, 2019, 03:55:22 PM
The bitcoin market went from higher highs in the past, to lower lows in recent times. The price of the coin is seen to have been within the 3k range. It has been going back and forth in recent times, which even did climb 4k. I think a bull run will begin when it eventually gets pass 5k.
80  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are traders born or made? on: February 25, 2019, 11:12:34 AM
I am of the opinion that traders are not born but rather made. Getting to know how to trade, requires equipping yourself with the basic knowledge of trading, along side gaining d required experiences. In this context, i would like to say that not all traders are successful traders.
