Hola,

Hi everybody,

I took part in the 2016 crowdsale but completely lost touch with the project. I still have my original password (alphanum). Could someone please point me to a way to recover my waves?

Thanks for any help  Smiley
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BBT] BitBoost - The Block - Decentralized Ecommerce on Ethereum Blockchain on: January 14, 2018, 08:36:58 PM
Hi all! 2 fresh news for BitBoost - The Block

Two: we will be doing a burn of 50,000,000 BBT. This will cut the maximum supply in half. We are just finalizing the logistics of how to do it, but it will happen as soon as we figure that out.

how about listed on big exchange?
so how much total suppy and circulating supply now?
hope this good news can make price of BBT raising much more, i am lose for now because already buy at price 0.00015 BTC

Cutting the supply in 2 is huge news! 'Sure makes me happy Smiley

@FuMei
Because of the burn, the total supply will go from the current 100 million BBT to 50 million BBT. So the worth of your BBT now has virtually doubled  Cool
The circulating supply is 4.86 million BBT according to coinmarketcap.

In his Nov. 10 post on Reclaim Phase 2, Dominik says:
Quote
we know that some users’ seeds were compromised and as there’s no link between proofs and seeds, we first need to collect all reveals to filter out duplicates where we might have to follow up with separate reclaim procedures.

I actually reclaimed my old seed with two different new seeds (one on client 2.5.2, the other on 2.5.3) to find out if the system would allow a second reclaim of the same old seed. Both got confirmed - and that was a pretty stupid move... I will now have to wait for this duplicate to be spotted in order to prove that I own both new seeds. Anyways, thanks a lot CfB & team for taking these precautionary measures.

I got confirmation of the claim, but got 0 Giotas. Did you recovered your balance?

No. No Balance shown. But that should happen in round two  if I got it right?

create more receive adresen and conect with triangle, worked for me

Could you elaborate on that Cascrypto? What is "triangle"? Did you get your balance to show up?

how long to wait, how often to do?

'Had the same, then tried a different node and it went through.

on Ubuntu 17.04 there seems to be an issue with v2.5.3 GUI

nothing to see there
(rebooted and still the same...)

v2.5.3 runs fine on Ubuntu 15.10, I'll try it on the latest 17.10 if I find a minute later on.
Did you check the hash of your download? If you've never done it, run the following commands in a terminal:
Code:
cd /home/ewibit/Downloads
or wherever you downloaded the deb package, then
Code:
sha256sum iota_2.5.3_amd64.deb

You should get the following hash:
Code:
649d22bb0d31cbf0d5015bb5b69c765fad5822f12b407311a8a9ed82cd7a53e3

So does it matter if you used the recovery tool in 2.5.2 or 2.5.3? Or it's all the same?

Hi Jamie, my guess is that you can do phase#1 claiming with both versions indifferently (2.5.2 & 2.5.3). I got a recovery transaction confirmed in both versions (same old seed, different new seeds) and didn't notice any obvious difference. Cheers.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA manual claims tracker (UNOFFICIAL) on: October 30, 2017, 06:54:17 AM
after ~24 hours nothing happened
and
I closed the program
 Huh

Cheers Ewibit, I would say just try again with v2.5.3. If it takes too long to confirm, try again with another node. You must get your old seed linked to your new seed with a confirmed transaction in order to finalize the claim.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA manual claims tracker (UNOFFICIAL) on: October 30, 2017, 06:45:53 AM
the transaction was made and confirmed to an address that isn't on the new seed.

Hi Superresistant, I understand this is not a claim address but just a confirmation hash of the transaction that linked the old & new seeds. Now you have two hashes for two different transactions (same seeds but at different times). Only the first confirmed transaction will be useful for phase 2.

So that is all perfectly OK imho.

My machines run Linux, trying to build a .deb package but not so easy, hopefully a .deb version of wallet v2.5.2 will be released today (?)
Hesitating to borrow a Win machine to do the reclaiming...
have you now made a working .deb?
thx

Hi ewibit, 'just saw your question, sorry for the late reaction... And nope, I ran into problems when building the v2.5.2 .deb package and was feeling too much in a hurry for securing phase 1 to delay this any longer, 'did the first stage on my brother's Win10 machine  Undecided

'Just installed the v2.5.3 .deb package, 'went straightforward, it looks exactly like v2.5.2 to me, and there is no mention of a second (reveal) phase.
I ran the Reclaim Tool again in v2.5.3 with my old seed + a new seed I just made up, and it got confirmed. 'Pity that an old seed can be linked to several new seeds, even if only the first match should prevail. So we don't really know if our seed has been claimed by someone else previously...

Can someone confirm that converting your lower case seed (from unclaimed round 1) to uppercase is the right thing to do when doing step 1 of the claiming process? The transaction confirms, I just want to be sure that this will work when it comes time to do part 2.
Good question K, I seem to remember this was standard procedure back in 2016...
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA manual claims tracker (UNOFFICIAL) on: October 27, 2017, 04:28:08 PM
Is there any problem?. Did I something wrong?.

Hi Shazam, this is just the first stage of the automatic reclaiming process (linking your old key to a new key). The actual fund transfer will happen next week with wallet v2.5.3. Dom's post says:
Quote
In this version [wallet v2.5.2], the user will be publishing a proof of ownership of their seed to the Tangle. After successfully completing the reclaim process (once your transaction gets confirmed), make sure to keep your old and new seed safe, as you will need it for stage 2 which will go live next week with the new wallet release.

Dom also says this on the Github release page:
Quote
v2.5.2: IOTA Recovery Tool
@domschiener released this 3 days ago · 3 commits to master since this release

This release brings with it the recovery tool needed for people that have missed out on the previous transition phase, or users that were vulnerable due to continuous key re-use, to reclaim their tokens. This is a two stage claim phase, whereby in the first phase you submit the proof to the Tangle, and in the second one the address to which the tokens will be automatically sent to. This release is currently being scheduled for next week.

First, logged into the client with new seed and tried the reclaim tool. After 6 hours I decided to try the process without logging in.

It's been sending all night, likely 12 hours. I don't think it's working.

Any other approaches to try?

This is a David Manual Claim, perhaps it doesn't apply?

I would try with a different host node (supposing you are in light mode).

Everyone who is waiting for the iotas, please, use IOTA Reclaim Tool.

Hi CfB, I installed the new v2.5.2 wallet on a windows machine and attempted to claim my old seed (a short seed I created to do the first claim last year), but I get the following message:
Code:
Invalid Old Seed
Is this to be expected? I activated the short seed option, but that changed nothing.

Update: letters in my old seed were in lower case, I switched them to UPPER CASE and the seed was accepted. 'Hope this will work out...

Just tried this on Windows10 device, get a javascript exception in main.js line 584.

"template[1].submenu.splce is not a function"

Guessing this should be 'splice'?

(Could still open the wallet after this error however)

Thanks for the info s2. Can you see your iota balance? ('suppose this has to wait for stage 2 with the new wallet next week though)
