4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox new incentives (black friday) on: November 28, 2013, 03:10:12 PM

To increase the speed of Bitcoin transactions, we will now require all Bitcoin transfers to pay the standard 0.001 BTC network fee
Start enforcing the standard fee when it becomes outdated and oversized? $1.12+ and growing

7  Economy / Lending / Re: Why people still trust BTCJam? on: November 16, 2013, 04:56:22 AM
What upsets me more is that my biggest two defaulters, one want to pay, but he cannot pay 100% at once, but BTC Jam refuses to provide him with a way to pay partially in installments.

You could sell your investment in the note marketplace and he could buy it. Works as a partial payment method.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin exchange arbitrage. on: November 15, 2013, 02:52:19 PM
A lot of people do this. MT.Gox takes forever to wire USD withdraws.
There is a lot of risk in price changes during the process.
Some money to be made there, but not a lot since people have bots set up for these purposes.

The price you see on each exchange already is being altered by massive arbitrage from other exchanges.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need help trading, suffered big loss! on: November 10, 2013, 04:49:06 PM
1. don't ever listen to the btc-e trollbox
2. Bitcoin has always trended upwards in the long run, so holding onto your bitcoin will likely save you from short term losses.
3. Bitcoin has spikes where everyone thinks it is going to 10x in a month, it won't

So, when bitcoin hasn't changed price for a few days: buy some, hold... sell when you would be happy with the profits.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Silk Road is back online on: November 06, 2013, 08:55:38 PM
The FBI seized way too much bitcoin for it to have been faked.

13  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet on any sporting event available on Oddschecker.com! on: October 29, 2013, 03:00:31 AM
once you get it compatible you will be A+, is live bett available

Should work in torbrowser with tools- addons "add from file"... Also should in no way compromise torbrowser's anonymity.

Live bet is available! Just go to the page for any event currently "in play" and bet normally. All bets are placed at the live odds when notification of the transaction is received. (1 or less confirmations)
14  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet on any sporting event available on Oddschecker.com! on: October 28, 2013, 06:52:46 PM
Once installed in firefox, go to an all odds page for any event on oddschecker. A bitcoin Icon should appear beside the add to basket for each participant. Click on it and a popup will show you which addresses to send matching amounts to.

Any event) Our system will quickly return in full(minus transaction fee paid by your client) any bets if they are malformed or over our max bet. We will honor all bets made if it does not.

how do i get it compatible with TOR browser.. must be way/

Haven't tried this, we will check it out.

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honey Badger Needs To Be Official Mascot of BTC on: October 22, 2013, 03:27:22 PM
And why should a currency need a mascot in the first place?
So it can have an O'Reilly book obviously... Someone was already working on that though. It was down to leafcutter ants or the honey badger.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC Faucet Owners!.. How much BTC do you give out daily on: October 17, 2013, 03:46:33 PM
Try an altcoin maybe, bitcoin the value is too high for this now it seems. Edit: also the answer to your question is as much as they can based on advertisement income after they take a cut.
20  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to set up a treasure map? on: October 17, 2013, 02:59:42 PM
Kinda cool, make it extremely challenging though or someone will get it too quickly. Might want to look into "A Treasure's Trove" and books of that sort for the basics. Also 1 btc seems low for a worldwide hunt, but I guess for some it isn't about the money but the thrill of solving the puzzles.
