Do any of you have an issue with BitcoinWisdom where the volume candlesticks are delayed? It shows the full chart up to about the last 10 time intervals where it just shows flat bars...

What is the deal with Wisdom showing flatlines for volume on the latest trade increments?

This bitch is going down.

Seems to be too much selling pressure for the buys to overcome.

No guarantee BTC is going to the moon just yet.

What if Ken were to distribute the remaining available cards to the shareholders in proportion to the amount of shares that they have. We would then cover the costs of operation and would not need a datacenter. We would all have to point our cards at the ACTM address. That way we would not be wasting these resources. I don't know how it could be verified that each person is doing as they agreed but there could be some way.

Almost like a shareholder distributed DC.

Ken,

When submitting the email for share validation and transfer, what name are we supposed to include in the "Received transfer from"? Our Bitfunder username?

I submitted my information and a reply stated my information was incorrect. I have resubmitted but have yet to receive shares or an email response. Thanks.

Why is it so unbelievable? As long as bitcoin gains mainstream adoption, 1mil (of purchasing power) per bitcoin is inevitable.

1. The ~10 minute confirmation time
2. The reliance on set encryption protocols which could be broken in the future (EC and SHA256). For something to become as big as a world currency, it needs to be trusted that the technology would last hundreds of years.
3. The blockchain size.
4. The amount of resources that the client uses on a device.
5. Other scalability issues, such as the amount of transactions which can be handled per minute.
6. Irreversibility of transactions.
7. The extreme ease of the average person losing coins due one of many vectors of mistakes and hardware failures, or hackers.
8. The technical difficulty for the average user trying to even use it.
9. Bitcoin commerce and usage has mostly formed within centralized entities even though it is supposed to be decentralized.
10. There are still humans who ultimately control Bitcoin and who must be trusted by its users, even though the system is supposed to be decentralized.
11. Volatility - it is not an attractive store of value for someone who just wants to use it as a store of value or a currency and isn't into investing or speculating.
12. The present distribution of wealth.
13. The reliance on the internet in order to function.
14. Also, what happens if the internet is split apart due to government firewalls.
15. Governments, corporations, and hackers could ultimate control and restrict Bitcoin usage if they really wanted. And mass adoption will not be reached when users have to do it illegally, run tor, and run checks on every client they download to make sure it isn't a hacked client. Even tor traffic or bitcoin traffic over tor could be blocked too by smart routers.
16. Some of the worlds most powerful contries have already banned or restricted it.

** add more here ** - anyone else is welcome
TERA, Wow. I am completely baffled by the intelligence you show in investing and chart trending, yet the complete ignorance of bitcoin itself. Most if not all these points you bring up could be debunked by a mere novice.

The people saying this are dreaming that bitcoin becomes a world reserve fiat currency as big as the USD (or bigger), but BTC has too many flaws to do anything like that.
Like?

The main problem with ancap is that there's nothing preventing a violent gang (a new government if you will) from forming, because everyone else is being so peaceful, and if everyone else stops being peaceful, then it it isn't ancap any more - its just regular anarchy.

Ancap will only work if there is some force to stop people from conducting acts of violence, preferably some force that isn't corruptible. So, until we have open-source peacemaking enforcement droids no such utopia can exist.
Seriously? If you are going to comment about what will and won't work with some idea/concept then at least take the time to read-up on the subject. This has been refuted repeatedly in ancap theory/philosophy. You obviously don't understand ancap.

There are obviously risks with Bitcoin, I just don't think the risks are as great as some of you would like to pretend they are in the name of being on the safe side.

Autumn Radtke, chief executive of First Meta Pte Ltd, was found dead at her Singapore home on Feb 26.
This is just too creepy and sad to think about. I hope whoever sent that money realized that its just life and is figuring out how to work their way back up. But if I had 1000+ BTC, I'd have been out. that is plenty. You are talking at least 10 - 100 million when it all said and done.

And ugly.

And are you posing for Vogue?  If you were, would it justify that statement?  Do you really just want to hurt people?  Whatever you might get out of that, it's just not worth it.  Criticizing her journalism seems apt, perhaps even necessary, certainly justified.  But would you want someone telling the world your daughter was ugly?  I admit:  I say nasty things sometimes.  Then I feel bad about it, and try not to do it again.

Do what you want.

"If you are not involved with Bitcoin at all, you have to tell me now." Nakamoto: "I can not do that."

It is intriguing. From a primary English speaker this sounds odd (meaning it sounds as if he is admitting he would be lying if he told her he wasn't involved). Obviously it could have come out worse if he doesn't speak/understand English from birth. I could easily see this going either way. Imagine it from a strong English speaker, then imagine that answer from someone who isn't so strong. "I can not do that," could simply be frustration. I mean he had to call the cops. Anyway, we could parse this forever. I guess we'll find out for sure one day.
May have thought she said, "Tell me that your are involved with bitcoin, now." "I cannot do that."

Is anyone else having an issue viewing anything other than 3-minute charts on Bitcoinwisdom?

The guy may have initially implied he knew something about it for the attention and possible money. But I can't understand why, even if it is him, that he is being interrogated by the media.

I love how everyone is double-spacing after their periods now.  Its like a blast from the past.

You're pretty unlikely to find anything where I don't do that.  Old habits die hard and, as many here have pointed out, if you learned to type when typewriters and word processors were still a thing, it's pretty standard behaviour. Tongue

I did, as I commented earlier. I actually can remember back to a time when I was debating whether to use single or double spaces in a report and then someone telling me that you don't need to double space anymore. Not sure of the exact date or other details surrounding that though. I haven't been using double space since that time.
