The deletion notices clearly state that it's the thread creator doing it.

Fair enough. In that case I agree that Ken shouldn't be focusing on deleting posts questioning his update...
Surely it's more productive to come in here and actually answer the questions and concerns people have if you have time to delete posts?
and ironically the post you replied to gets deleted ...

Can we get confirmation that it was Ken who deleted it?

My lord, dude. The creator of the thread is deleting the posts. End of Story.

It's good to see names from the beginning of the ActM saga pop back in and shed some light on things with the board which stayed behind closed doors or demand more answers.

Well I don't really have anything new to add other than disagreement over Intellihash. We posted months ago about issues with the marketing and lack of help Ken has running things. It's all been too reliant on him for a long time now, as far as I know anyway.

I was more expressing surprise that the engineering failed and the lack of information at a critical time. I really thought there would be significant miners on-line by now, if of the more expensive to manufacture variety.

Also, what was said precisely about delivered hardware?

Ken said: "Our first products have been shipped to customers."
303  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 10:21:19 PM
"Good things are coming just hold on."
304  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 10:09:04 PM
It's been said before and I'll say it again.  If this were a scam Ken would have ran off with the $1,000,000 NRE funds a long time ago. There would have been no eAsic deal.  A scam is something like Labcoin where they lie about having chips in development.  There is empirical evidence to support the fact that ActM is not a scam. Change the record guys, yawn.
Not necessarily true.
305  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 09:44:36 PM
Imagine, an illiterate drunk conning people out of millions!

Sigh, you might be right. But either way Ken's a clever guy right?

How great is it that I can't sell my shares though?! We have to see this till the end now because we won't be trading shares until we already know, one way or another, whether this company will ROI or not.

Guess it's just a waiting game now - we win or we lose.

I'd advise everyone to remain optimistic. Ken is still optimistic. If Ken knew this was a bus crash he would not be giving bullish statements. Would he? What would the point be? There are no shares for him to sell, he isn't raising funds.....so why would he misrepresent the situation? If it was looking really bad I think he would give cautious updates. He is not giving cautious updates.

So stay strong fellow investors. It's not over till it's over.
Uhhh... maybe to buy time? to keep people from coming after him? Ken gave us bullish statements just last week: "The new year is going to be great for ActM!" Then we get: "it all fell apart guys".
306  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 08:38:25 PM
that doesn't mean that a high risk investment in a developing company is automatically a scam.  There is a major difference between scam and failure.
The only thing that concerns me is that Ken was on record on IRC saying "this is a scam" a couple of hundred troll posts back.
Where is that IRC log, anyway?

What I see in the future is Bitcoin's exchange rate for USD going to over $10,000 in the next year.
Oh, so you are willing to go on record and pull an arbitrary Bitcoin valuation out of your ass, but you cannot give us a goddamn estimate of when we will be in full production, or when we can begin trading OUR shares.
What he is saying here is: "Unless bitcoin value goes to $10,000 we will not be in a very good position to make this work."
308  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 06:56:55 PM
The time has come for you guys to start acting like men and find out how much money you can salvage from this.   Begging for answers when you are the BOSS and the financier is pathetic.
yes. But there are the tidal wave of shills and half-shills who are going to come in here and on IRC and convince everyone that that route is useless or to wait it out.
309  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 05:53:57 PM
Mass hysteria.  Ken needs to come out and do a proper Q&A rather than a drive by.  I do think he is handling the shares appropriately though...waiting for Colored Coins is the right thing to do.  That being said I still have questions that need to be answered:

1)  What exactly was shipped out to customers a few weeks ago?  Why hasn't this been explained?  Sketchy.
2)  What is the current state of progress on chips?  You've got to at least have some sort of ballpark ETA.  How about a basic board design completion ETA?  Ballpark!
3)  Please refrain from talking about the price of bitcoin in relation to the company...that is pure speculation and not a strong basis for the company.  It would be great if BTC made it to $10,000 this year but we can't bank on that.
4)  Did we face delays because Intellihash is being incorporated or is it because the boards weren't designed properly to begin with?

Thank you.
Perhaps, if this colored coins thing works out, ActM shares will be able to be traded as collectors items as the first colored coin asset. Then we will all be rich.

But with the rest... that is just it. You know absolutely nothing because there is no way to arrange the pieces of the story which we have been given such that it makes sense.

eASIC had to have delivered chips... why can't we see a picture of those?
310  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 03:28:23 PM
Cointerra hired on their website.  It's not hard to find people who know what they're doing.  There are ASIC experts out there, and a lot of them even visit bitcointalk.  If I was selling rocket ships and didn't know how to build one, I would start hiring.  I'm sure he knows how to screen through resumes, right?
Exactly, Ken knew whether or not he could develop an RTL. It is not that difficult once you raise funds to hire a small team to pull-off a workable RTL and board. This should have been a done deal.
311  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 07:20:33 AM
It is a bit difficult to take what ken has said at his word.
312  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 04:24:30 AM
Bargraphics lying through his teeth on irc:

<Pad_> IMO answering that would fuel people to hassle he, for more info
<Bargraphics> Why are people going nuts over the RTL?
<Pad_> Them
<freshcoin> doesnt the RTL put us way back Bargraphics?
<Bargraphics> no looooooool
<Bargraphics> It's the chip bring up
<Bargraphics> not fucking verilog
<freshcoin> i honestly have no idea, I am going by what has been discussed
<Bargraphics> people are morons

Quote from: KEN
Due to our inexperience with design, we have had a few set backs; however, we have hired
the most competent RTL design team to make sure that when we spin up our chip it will work.  They are
very competent at Low-Power and getting the most speed from the chip.
Not only that, but the boards aren't even done. The RTL is supposed to be verified before the chips are made and even before the NRE is paid.
313  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 02:39:43 AM
PLEASE do not give up guys.  Please, I beg you.   This is the thread where I come when I feel down so I can see that life could be much worse than it is....
Surely you do not believe that with millions of dollars and a completely credible chip design firm, that there has not been a working chip produced?   Come on, you know eASIC would be able to bang out this simple design.   You must believe that.  Why not ask them?
The chips must have come otherwise how were you given stats?   Maybe you should just be trying to track down the chips that your investment paid for?   KNC stopped shipping and the network went from 5 PH/s to around 8 PH/s.    Now it is around 12 PH/s.   Someone is bringing miners on line and it cannot just be bitfury and ants....
That is another possibility... there are chips and working miners... e.g., Eligius although a few swear that it is not Ken. I calculated the hash-rate on eligius to exactly, exactly 10 24.567 TH miners. They came on-board in multiples of 24.567 TH.
314  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 02:32:27 AM
Yes he said the RTL code was done but then today he said this:

Our engineers are still designing our board. We had to change our engineering firm, and
learn a few lessons about hiring an engineer firm.  We don't have a date at this time.

Quote
What do you estimate the ActM hashrate be at the end of January, February and March?

.  They are

Exactly, so what the firk is up? why not just hire them from the beginning and do it right the first time?
315  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 02:30:57 AM
I heard that VMC had tested its chips? however, can you please upload some picture of the psychical chip and the screenshot of your test result and the snapshot of the laboratory which you used to testing and developing your chip.

Thank You ,if you can provides these pictures~~~

We have had our RTL code tested for feasibility to run on eASIC's chip.  The RTL code was found to be feasible and from the results we have an estimate of the speed of 16 GH/s and power of less than 12 watts per chip.

Well shit, he gave the exact hash rate of the chips, and when i mentioned there was no way to be that precise without actual silicon, i was told that eAsic knows their shit better than I do.

Anyhow, if you notice the wording is tricky.  He uses "feasible," not good, not verified, not approved, merely "feasible."  It;s not tech jargon.  It's deniability.
Why go through all the trouble of raising money and signing a contract with eASIC when he could have just hired the engineers from the beginning to design the chip and the RTL and board and make the plan work?

WTF the RTL code isn't even finished and we were supposed to be building miners in November!?

it's a little weird that investors have to protect the company on this forum rather than the actual people involved, don't you think?  Just saying...

Interesting to have photos btw, but a big empty room, a box of psu's?, a small tool bench (doesn't seem to be for electronics though?), and a site visit by a member with 16 posts doesn't really do much. I think a lot more could be done to show this is all legit if in fact it really is.
If he had been first to market or in the initial group of three Avalon/AM/BFL his lack of evidence/unprofessional site might have been forgiven but, as it is today, everyone posting on this forum gets flamed out of existence unless they clearly establish proof of concept in their initial post. He might be a businessman, but businessmen need to look at themselves through potential customers eyes in order to succeed.

You're right. There are/needs to be many threads to manage all of the different aspects of ActiveMining/AMC/VMC. Just managing the threads takes up a good chunk of the day:

Threads Ken is overseeing:
  • VMC (sales)
  • AMC (mining, currently hashing)
  • ActiveMining (shareholders, paying dividends)

There are a lot of balls up in the air at the moment, so we all have to pitch in. This is what he has on his plate at the moment:

To do list:
  • Managing share transfers and shareholder queries for AMC and ActiveMining on BTC-TC and Bitfunder
  • Manage 6 Hashing Avalons
  • Klondike boards will be arriving soonish
  • 20,000 Avalon chips are incoming this or next month.
  • Avalon prototype board will be complete next week.
  • eASIC approved Ken's RTL code for his chip which is rated at 16GH/s. They will commence immediate production once they receive the NRE (1 million dollars), there will be some printed out this upcoming 4th quarter, with full production starting Q1
[/b]
  • Managing those above threads
  • Getting components and chassis for the boards
  • Managing sales from the website and this forum
  • Marketing - google "bitcoin mining machine" if you are in the US/Canada, Just bought all 7 advertising slots on this forum

He has his hands full. We're behind him trying to keep up and pick up all the loose ends.

lewicki claimed that eASIC had already tested the RTL code and that it worked with the chip - he said this back in July 18
318  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 01:41:03 AM
So let me get this straight.  The company has nothing.  Just contracts.  Literally nothing to show.  Not a single chip from eASIC.  Not even a damned 3D rendering of a PCB at this point.  Just a few dozen cases with power supplies in them.  I can go to work tomorrow and produce the same picture.

Can you just flat out say "we have made literally no progress at this point" or list what actual specific designs have been completed so we're not wasting our time expecting some semblance of information?
At least show the shit that didn't work. Here is some stuff, it didn't work. Went back to drawing board on such and such date - have been working on a redesign for..."
319  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 09, 2014, 12:56:04 AM
How did Ken know to redesign the chips if we never had boards? Makes no sense.
