We've messaged a few exchanges and they've replied saying they're looking into the coin to make sure it works with their software. Hello everyone, here's a quick update:
We're currently working on post-launch development, such as some new websites and services. The PR-sided members of the development team are working with vendors and exchanges to encourage adoption of PotatoCoin. As for a roadmap, we're working on it and it should be done within the next couple of weeks. We're still deciding how to distribute the coins which is the primary concern in regards to the roadmap. I was talking about this idea the other day about a coin with the main goal of improving the lives of the poor people. I think we got a good candidate for that here. If the dev doesn't screw up big, I can see this becoming a really huge crypto-currency. Maybe a coin that will be head-to-head to bitcoin in terms of price and recognition. Also, for the miners, when you mine this coin you are not only mining for yourselves but also helping a kid somewhere in the world. So as for the manner of mining guilt-free, greed-free, this is the best coin in the crypto-world. Period. So, let's make this big, shall we? Let's do it! |

We wanted to launch on the eighth but we ran into some problems and everyone had to go for the weekend, then today we had a problem with the genesis block until about an hour ago. It's now been fixed and everything is ready to go but the main developer is offline so we're going to have to launch tomorrow.
Yeah, but you take 86,8 days worth of mining to yourself as premine while you can't even launch a coin on time. Besides, it's not like you're offering anything new if you're even serious. We're not taking the premine for ourselves, we're using it to fund development and the trips to Africa. We're not contributing anything in the way of technology but we are looking to put the same technology to use in a unique way with potential to help millions of people. If it doesn't work then that's unfortunate but if it does then it will make a real difference in the developing world. |

We're going to put a list of addresses holding the premine on the website along with the reasons for each transaction. We will also post pictures of the developers in Africa distributing coins and educating Africans about currency and, more specifically, PotatoCoin.
