2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Co-Founder of Zynga launches a blockchain project. Beta is live!! on: February 13, 2021, 09:49:30 AM
Zynga's (publisher of one of the most viral free to play game, Farmville) co-founder, Eric Schiermeyer has officially entered the blockchain space. His new project named Gala is a blockchain gaming ecosystem, where players can earn cryptos by playing various games. First game, Townstar is already in public beta and is designed a bit like Farmville but with more focus on town management. Read more about it here: https://medium.com/@siddartha1492/from-the-co-founder-of-zyanga-farmville-comes-a-new-game-and-this-time-a-blockchain-game-88be926f39c4

What do you think? Can games like Townstar help onboard millions of mobile users including ur grannies to the crypto world?

Whew! Remembering those good old days where Farmville was one of the most popular and been hyped wayback into those early years. Its a good news that even gaming developers,

and related to it do already recognized about on how blockchain technology would really be used into this industry and theres no doubt with that about the success of integration
into this field.

Its still in beta though and im wondering if they would be able to finalize it for this month or in next?
Townstar is in Beta and Mirandus which is an MMORPG will launch pre-Alpha late this year. It will be quite a vast game!

I hope people joined Gala Games and earned some Gala back when I posted in April. It is expanding rapidly and now a top 200 coin. When Mirandus, their most ambitious game launches Q4 this year, it will easily be in top 50 coins!! 4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was the first-ever ICO you’ve invested? on: July 19, 2020, 09:05:23 AM
I clearly remember my first ICO. It was in October 2017. Hash Rush, a project that aimed to merge blockchain with gaming. At that time, no other project thought seriously about this concept. At the end of ICO they raised around $1M, but then in May, like many ICO projects they became victims of massive bear market swipe. They survived somehow and are now finally able to release their Beta game this month!! After so many years, they are finally fulfilling their promise and I'm excited for that! You can check them out on www.hashrush.com .
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherscan or Ethplorer on: July 12, 2020, 10:57:20 AM
Etherscan is the most popular tracker for sure. I only used ethplorer in the early days, but etherscan is super sleek, super fast and gets all the necessary details.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: July 09, 2020, 08:08:58 AM
Doge pumped good this week. I heard it was due to some Tiktok videos with Doge content. Anyways, a good sign of bull market coming soon!!!

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A public chain born for DeFi on: July 05, 2020, 03:21:56 PM
Why do you think people should go for your public chain instead of say ETH for DEFI which already has a huge developer and investor base? Also are you solo developing this chain?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the market saturated with too many stablecoins? on: July 04, 2020, 09:57:30 AM
Seems like Tether has basically made other stable coins obsolete. If something happens to Tether like not enough backup assets or trust issues, then it will be quite bad for the industry.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading competition, a plus or minus on: July 02, 2020, 07:31:05 PM
I guess all these trading competitions are good for the pro traders. Most people will lose their money if they participate in them coz of pump and dump.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto online stores? on: June 28, 2020, 05:52:46 AM
I don't think there are any trusted marketplaces where you can shop with cryptos. And the ones that do accept cryptos don't usually have the variety like in Amazon store. It is better to use prepaid/debit cards which allow you to topup with crypto and then you can use them. You can see some popular ones here: https://cointelegraph.com/news/cash-or-plastic-countries-where-crypto-debit-cards-are-fair-game . Or maybe use browser extensions like Storm, Lolli; pay with fiat and receive cryptoback.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most trusted projects ruined me !! on: June 27, 2020, 07:21:57 AM
Ya I guess for long term only Bitcoin and ETH are worth holding. All others are maybe good for few years max, but then usually drop in value. Just see EOS. Biggest ICO till date and even after 2 years still around 10x less value from the original ICO value. And some projects that try really hard may also fail due to complex regulations by govt. or simply no demand for their product in market.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Co-Founder of Zynga launches a blockchain project. Beta is live!! on: June 26, 2020, 08:57:01 AM

2) Gala coins on chain.
3) Farmbot and some other NFTs on chain
4) Ability to earn Gala by doing daily tasks
5) Gala nodes online

2) Voting mechanism to vote for games to launch on Gala, reward pool etc.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain games on Samsung Galaxy Store on: June 25, 2020, 10:48:42 AM
From the trailers and info both games look good enough for mobile gaming market. I've played Dozerfriends game from Playdapp which was also good. So I think these games will also do fine. Only thing missing is that there is not much info about the blockchain elements and monetization or play to earn mechanisms.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: June 21, 2020, 06:10:51 PM
Well, it's not that only early crypto adopters are here. New people keep arriving crypo world and mainly from news like how Bitcoin made people rich etc. So obviously they think it is easy to become rich by getting into cryptos and then sometimes they fall into scam traps.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of altcoins? Don't you think who has too much for nothing? on: June 19, 2020, 06:31:20 PM
I think ERC 20 have good usage. Surely not all, but some like MANA, Enjin, KNC, BNB etc. have given good profits and at the same time helped in crypto adoption.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most searched cryptocurrencies on Google on: June 17, 2020, 06:14:00 PM
The market capitalization is a very bad indicator to judge which cryptocurrency is better or bigger or something else. For example Bitcoin SV was created by fork and automatically 2 billion USD market capitalization was created from nothing Smiley.
So true. If that is not printing money from air, then what is!
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COVID-19 is helping to expand the crypto world on: June 15, 2020, 05:45:58 PM
Interesting observation. I think during this Covid lockdown, people are automatically drawn to more digital content. Be it online education courses, games or cryptos. I have seen many people trying blockchain gaming in hopes of earning something while sitting idle at home. US Fed printing money also made people look for alternate options of storing money (like Bitcoin) as they can see that fiat value will go down if they keep printing more money like this.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need a reality check, is an ICO right for me to fund a business? on: June 14, 2020, 02:32:19 PM
If you are providing free meals then how is it a business? Also as far as I know you can only do ICO with regulated investors in America. Since your token isn't providing any utility to holders, it might as well be classified as security and you might have difficult time going around it.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Hash Rush – Official News, Updates & Community Thread on: June 09, 2020, 08:41:06 AM
May update of Hash Rush is quite rich in new information. Launch of Beta with blockchain integration is finally confirmed this year. Certainly a good news for all of us who are waiting since 2017!!! https://medium.com/@Hash_Rush/hash-rush-progress-update-may-2020-1d205d9112f8
