I understand your frustration, but there wasn't and never will be not a single wallet release that wouldn't be necessary, all were made with purpose and for reason.
From our side we can only make an upgrade procedure to latest wallet as much harmless to community as it possible, thats why exchanges's lux deposit/withdraw been paused for now. Advise to take some patience and wait till maintenance's end, hopefully it won't take long.

From team and community experience, current wallet version is quite smooth in work. In most cases people getting issues when trying to operate with wallet files (like files replacing in /Lux folder etc) while QT is open, and sometimes it causes such problems like damaged wallet.dat. So advise to do any movements with Lux files with completely closed QT.

Thanks for feedback, we aware of that problem and already provided all needed information, including actual peers list, to Cryptopia's team.
I cant actually say what causes such delays in block height, but Im sure Topia's team will resolve syncing related issues eventually.

32bit one was removed due to many issues with.

Will all LUXcoin users have to upgrade their computers' operating system to win 64 in order to install LUXcoin wallet?

No, this version both 32 and 64 bit compatible, no need to do anything.

If issue still occur after, send the coins to absolutely new wallet.dat. Thats will resolve any issue for sure.

Try to open any of backups with latest qt (dont forget to check some in /backups folder in %appdata%/Lux)
Also, as a security tip, advise to extract your private keys (see the guide) from wallet.dat and write it on paper, also do few new backups and place it to different folders.
