Dopo mesi di tentativi sono riuscito finalmente a vedere i BCH che ho ereditato dal fork di Agosto 2017. Il portafogli originario in BTC io l'avevo creato usando Multibit. Per recuperare i BCH ereditati dal fork ho usato Electron Cash sotto Linux, versione 2.9.2. Innanzitutto per recuperare il portafogli ho seguito le istruzioni di questo video Youtube, molto chiaro:

video che in realtà spiega come convertire un portafogli da Multibit a Electrum, ma va benissimo così ed è spiegato benissimo.
A questo punto (a me è successo così) Electron Cash prova a sincronizzare il portafogli ma poi si paralizza e da il messaggio: Waiting for fee estimates.

in breve, per me è bastato andare nella directory /.electron-cash e cancellare il file blockchain_headers e nella directory /.electron-cash/forks il file /.electron-cash/recent_servers ed anche /.electron-cash/forks
Quindi ho fatto ripartire Electrum Cash e sono comparsi i Bitcoin Cash.
Ultima cosa, ma molto importante ho tolto la scelta automatica del server ed ho impostato il server 35.185.209.69

Ciao a tutti, ho scaricato Electroncash per Linux. Sono riuscito a farlo partire con un po' di difficoltà.
Ho cercato di ripristinare il portafoglio con i seeds del portafogli Bitcoin che già avevo prima del fork.
Il portafogli Bitcoin lo avevo creato con Multibit.
Pensavo di ritrovare gli equivalenti Bitcoin Cash e invece il portafogli Bitcoin Cash é vuoto. Dove ho sbagliato?

Finally I Understood, all that backups that Multibit perform on Dropbox are optional, and only are only used to store things like your contacts and notes made regarding transactions.
Tho wallet is restored with blockchain and the only thing that YOU MUST HAVE to restore are the wallet words and the data stamp.
This is my experience and is confirmed by the Multibit Support answer to my help request.

To experiment a wallet recovery with Multibit I tried to restore a wallet from the cloud (Dropbox) backup.
The originary wallet is on a Linux - Ubuntu machine with Multibit 0.5.1 installed
I tested the recovery on another Ubuntu machine with Multibit 0.5.1 instead.
but Multibit stuck and nothing happens, so I tried to restore without a backup but simply giving the wallet words and the wallet was restored ok!
It seems that for restore operations, the most important things are the wallet word, but at this point the backups that Multibit automatically perform on Dropbox what are they for?

I tried to test restore procedure of a wallet created with Multibit on a Linux Machine to an other machine under Windows 7, but the restore sequence stuck on message like this "synchronization wallet... please wait". Multibit version on both machines is 14.04.

ho un portafoglio fatto con Multibit su una macchina Ubuntu, creato da poco, ho voluto sperimentare un restore su un altra macchina Windows 7, così ho installato anche lì Multibit ed ho provato a fare il restore del portafoglio usando l'ultimo file di backup fatto con la macchina Linux.
Mi chiede le  parole chiave e poi dice attendere... ripristino del portafoglio in corso e si ferma così. Ho aspettato anche 4 o 5 ore.
Qualche suggerimento?
