481  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100k volume on Bitstamp? on: May 02, 2014, 05:40:01 PM
So, did the FBI dump those coins it had?  I just happened to look on stamp today and seen 100k of volume  this morning.   LOL

Must have been a different day.

Looks like some serious shorting going on - the sum of swaps on finex is 9.5K (if I remember well yesterday it was 8.5 then 9 then again 8.5).
483  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 30, 2014, 09:36:01 AM
Huobi is no longer lower than Bitstamp.
484  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 more Chinese banks/payment services bans all btc related accounts 4/29/14 on: April 29, 2014, 05:44:47 PM
Very late, News released 9 hours ago!

So that was probably the reason of the recent Chinese dump.
485  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 29, 2014, 01:34:30 PM
Reverse H&S yesterday - target above 460, then if we breaks 455 - there will be another H&S (less nicely looking) with even higher target 475.

The Chinese scare does not work any more.

I think we'll rebound significantly.
The nature of the fractal is that the outer H&S keeps failing. One thing that should tip you off is that the volume in the head here is always lower than the volume in the shoulder. Also, this will probably be the last incarnation of the fractal because the end will be too close to the long term log downtrend for another even larger fractal to be drawn. So we either break through the downtrend or collapse down again. Which way will it go? I prefer to bet with the dominant trend.

It broke that downtrend on linear scale - it can also break it on the logarithmic one.

The Chinese dumps are not what they used to be.
488  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC China stops account funding on: April 26, 2014, 07:42:00 PM
So is it now that we have a bad China news and it does not drop?

At some point that has to happen.
489  Economy / Speculation / Re: PLEASE STOP BEING SO AFRAID! on: April 25, 2014, 11:32:25 AM
Considering they're the only reason we crossed $200 to begin with and we follow their every move... ya, we should be scared.

The previous high of ~$250 was long before the China Bubble.
Also, the BTC economy is growing so fast we don't need China.

Anyway - you were wrong at the opening of this thread - so maybe your calculations are not that great.
490  Economy / Speculation / Re: PLEASE STOP BEING SO AFRAID! on: April 25, 2014, 07:58:37 AM
Why may I ask do you believe there is 2 more weeks until the price has seen a bottom?   Huh

Not before we see the bottom - but during these two weeks we'll see the bottom. Theoretically this might have been just now - but this is just not very probable. And two weeks - because China has again moved the final closing time - now to May 10.
491  Economy / Speculation / Re: PLEASE STOP BEING SO AFRAID! on: April 25, 2014, 07:49:19 AM
There is two more weeks for the bottom to come.
492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 18, 2014, 12:04:45 PM
Too many bullish threads. Time for a correction.

But will it be just a correction - or was the run up to 540 a correction of the longer down trend that just resumed its reign?
493  Economy / Speculation / Re: Strong hands on: April 18, 2014, 08:12:08 AM
I propose an alternative to the 'strong hands' narrative:

Remember who panics first panics best!
494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 17, 2014, 11:35:24 AM
So this wave of panic is over. Some made good money but most as always lost money. People are buying back in again. Most likely with a loss. We're slowly going up again.
So now we wait till next round of China news? So we can repeat this shit all over again? Same whales with insider knowledge make money, the same sheep lose their money and the same bears will be screaming how we will go down to 250 this time.
Is that what everyone wants? It certainly looks like it.

It just totally amazes me. These waves of panic buying and selling have so very few winners and so many losers yet people keep doing it over and over again. Like they never learn.

The news are tightly correlated with the moves - but there would be corrections even without these announcements. It raised $200 during a few days - it is normal that we get a correction. What would you expect - a linear growth to $1000?
495  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 16, 2014, 09:15:00 AM
There was a wedge in Huobi - it broke down in a classic way.
496  Economy / Speculation / Re: So the 15th Is Here on: April 15, 2014, 04:11:52 PM
And now 15th is over in Beijing:

Current Time   Wednesday, 16 April 2014, 00:10:59 CST
497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 09, 2014, 12:33:50 PM
Maybe this is related to Bitstamp stopping withdrawals until tomorrow?
498  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 02, 2014, 04:15:12 PM
It is past midnight in Beijin - have they already freezed those accounts - so that we can get over China (and the fake volumes)?
499  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese exchange BTC38 suspends CNY deposits due to PBOC's policy on: April 02, 2014, 02:27:43 PM
no way to know with that brutal translation. did they ever even support direct bank transfer deposit to begin with?

All you need to know is that the chaos elephant has came - resistance is futile.
500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 31, 2014, 07:00:42 AM
really starting to believe that statement was an internal memo that got leaked from the pboc on its way to exchanges.. Mind you I'll change my mind if across the board halts come..and then watch them flow to btc-e lol

This is on front page of http://www.btctrade.com/

"Dear user: third-party payment channels received notification today, will be suspended directly online recharge functionality April 1, recharge will continue to use bank transfers, daily transactions and withdrawals are not affected, please understand! 415 for the recent events, Bitcoin transaction network (btctrade.com) yet received any notice, the recent market volatility is large, please investors cautious investment.".

bter has made a similar announcement.

I realize a lot of those who post in this thread has a very hard time accepting reality. Perhaps someone will be kind enough to send you a telex with the memo eventually?

I advise you to accept reality and the fact that some CNY exchanges already confirmed that the PBOC document is real before we re-visit double digits.

For negative stuff isn't it sell on rumours buy on news?
