541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / All Altcoins -10%+,Is it time to buy? on: June 22, 2018, 09:53:37 PM
Hello pals,
With the big crash of Bitcoin today from 6700$ to 6000$,all altcoins followed this path and now all top altcoins are red -10%.
Is is good time to buy considering the fact that Bitcoin can rebounce any time so Altcoins do the same? Or buying now during the dip is risky because it can go deeper?
What do you think?

542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token Giveaways vs Rewards Programs on: June 22, 2018, 09:37:05 PM
Considering the fact that you'll be reserving 5% out of the total supply for Bounties wich represents 166650000 tokens,my opinion is to do both Giveaways and bounties.Giveaways would attract investors to invest and Bounties would attract newcomers. For Bounties, you may do a signature campaign, twitter, facebook, blog, telegram campaigns and eventually a referral bounty(I do not recommend giving X token for bringing a referral as you will get spammers who make double accounts and it's a pain in the ass;instead do per example a referral program ,X earns 10% of what his referral invest)(just an example)
I hope this answers your question

543  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you invest in Russian business? on: June 22, 2018, 09:14:49 PM
What do you think about crypto-investing to business projects wich location in Russia?
There is prejudice  concerning Russian business many people whenever they hear about a russian project they tend to think that it's shady and probably a scam. However, personally if I feel like that the project is legit I disregard the project's location, without forgetting the fact that Russian's are known to be smart and figuring out incredible solutions. So yeah if you are considering launching a project located in Russia, just go ahead.

Damn... ETH roberry are many these days,First the guy who put a smart contract to resend all sent eth to another address from the wallet that contained 100k+ worth of tokens and now this..If the story isn't made up I'm curious what country you went to and with what you sent the ETH?With your phone? Or you just gave them the private keys? And how they tracked the transaction of 20 ETH?

I agree I'm in the same situation as you, these days people with channels just join ICOs channel and start adding members to their own channel and nothing can stop them.I'm pretty sure that OP service is based on doing that.I think Telegram has to implement a new feature that will banish this kind of behavior.Maybe asking the user some thing like:"XX user has invited you to this group,Do you really want to join?" And if the user doesn't give an answer, the invitation gets automatically deleted.
546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Binance Pro Interface... Hate It! on: June 22, 2018, 08:28:13 PM
Hi there,
I don't hate the new version as much as you do,I think the new interface looks like the desktop version,I guess that they want to make it similar due to a lot of people liking the desktop version. If you really insist on disliking it,you can just download the desktop version,I'm pretty sure you will like it.
I hope this answers your concerns

549  Economy / Economics / Re: [Research] Clearance Comparison - Cryptocurrencies vs Credit Cards on: June 21, 2018, 05:37:41 AM
Hello there,
I admire your effort put into this.
First of all,I do not agree on the efficiency of cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin.Credit cards,in this case Visa do process 2k tx/sec while Bitcoin 3tx/sec,that's a huge difference. So yeah I think Bitcoin is really not efficient in terms of transacting.
Second,I don't think that crypto are more secure than credit cards or credit cards are more secure than crypto.Simply because both of them depend on the user's awareness of security. If you purchase from shady websites online with credit cards you should expect get hacked nope?If you let your private keys/seed unsecure same thing would happen. So yeah,it's users responsability. The difference is that banks have always a team that 24/7 monitor the transactions. So in case there is fraudulant transaction they block the card or you call them to do so,while in crypto if you are stole,it's gone forever.

1. Hey there, did you even bother to read the article?

2. FYI, there is no way Bitcoin does 3k transactions per second. Are you referring to 3,000 the number or something else?

3. A key factor missing from your "critique" is the fact that you left out the point that credit card companies charge you with fees for using their service. Fess that are much higher than a simple bitcoin transaction fee. Additionally, using bitcoin adds another layer of privacy to your transactions because unlike credit card companies that sell your information (name, number, email, etc.), everything is kept private (you only show your bitcoin address).
First I said 3 tx and not 3k,I don't know who didn't read.Second, fees are mandatory, how you want for something to work if you don't pay for the service? That's a worldwide thing and not only credit cards. In addition to that did you already forget the time (December 2017) where Bitcoin fees were 50$-100$ and were taking ages to confirm?
2. FYI, there is no way Bitcoin does 3k transactions per second. Are you referring to 3,000 the number or something else?

Not the guy you replied to, but I thought that I would point out that it doesn't look like his "3tx/sec" has a "k", so you might have misread because of the spacing or lack thereof. So yeah, he meant 3 transactions per second lol.

As for the article itself, wow that's long. I would have loved to see a discussion about crypto's learning curve and user experience in the practicality section though, because that seems to be a pretty big factor among self-declared non-techies. I personally think it's really easy, but that it should be tackled when discussing crypto's practicality vs. other options. Some people may find setting up a proper wallet be more daunting than simply filling out paper work to their banks, for example.

Overall I can kind of sense that you're a bit biased towards crypto, but it's an informative write up nonetheless. Good work!

Thanks for the feedback. The research was on Cryptocurrencies, not just bitcoin. I may have focused on bitcoin somewhere but there are a bunch of altcoins that can beat Visa's threshold of TX/Sec.
I agree, a learning curve would've been a hell of a topic but my time was limited in this research. It's quite extensive because I had to map out the architecture between the two technologies to explain a few aspects.

I agree that right now it's quite complicated to setup your own wallet and maintain it yourself and security is more to the point of user experience. Making transactions irreversible is quite dangerous in purchasing scenarios but I believe that escrow transactions can solve this to a good extent. I also believe that a self-governing cryptocurrency can be created to settle disputes. NXT is a coin I believe is on the right track if they focus on creating a reputation system like eBay does with other users being rewarded for governing the system to avoid fraudulent sales and scams but of course, no system is perfect but I think were getting really close to a 99% decentralized economy.
Yeah I agree with you that some Altcoins can beat Visa's tx/sec (Nano coin I think can do that). However I have focused on Bitcoin because it's adoption is easier than other coins (As the king of cryptocurrency) so yeah I don't see Altcoins being mass adopted that easily.

550  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hackers ? on: June 21, 2018, 05:26:15 AM
Are there a lot of hackers now in the crypto's world ? I mean, it a place not totally safe, because of it's quit new.  Do you think hackers can change the crypto economy for their own benefit ?

First of all you need to realize that cryptocurrencies aren't being hacked! The exchanges are.
The most essential feature of cryptocurrency is its robustness. You are its sole owner and you have all the responsibility. Nobody can steal it from you. All these huge hacks happen because the software made by private companies isn't as robust and they are totally careless about the cryptocurrency in their possession.
Last year a Korean exchange was hacked and admitted they had 5 hot wallets that held a very large amount of money and all 5 were cleaned. How can you have millions of dollars on hot wallets without anyone watching them and manually confirming withdrawals? How can you have 5 hot wallets active at once? Some people are asking for trouble and you are only safe if your money is managed by you.
We are not talking about exchanges here,in cryptocurrency individuals are more exposed to hacks than companies;simply because of the independence that offers cryptocurrency makes it easier for users to do mistakes that could end up by losing their coins. While with banks, there is certainly hackers (credit cards humble example) but still it's more secure in a way that you can call your bank to block yoru card, track where the stolen funds went etc..
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / This market is not about Solutions/Technology that a coin offers on: June 21, 2018, 05:10:29 AM
Hello guys,
I just wanted to share my opinion about something with you.We can clearly see that the market (price, market cap) isn't based on what the coin offers in terms of technology and solutions, and there is quite alot of examples to this;many coins accomplish their jobs as a cryptocurrency way better than Bitcoin and better than other top coins but still undervalued.
Let me know what you think.

Hello there,
The link isn't working Edit:Never mind, had to remove a space.
First,I suggest you to add an anti-adblock as I can use it on your website.Second, the bonus boutton is not working, results in an error. The captcha is also annoying (red one) as there is a mathematical operation to be done (but it's upside down) makes it annoying to solve, maybe recaptcha would be better.

Isn't this built on NANO in someway, like a micro-transaction coin built on top of NANO dag?
Hello
If I remember well,Binance made a fork of Nano coin and named it Banano. It's a very interesting way to airdrop a coin,it reminds me the way Raiblocks (Nano now) airdropped their coin with using the faucet (last summer I think).Hopefully it skyrockets just like Nano did (I'm dreaming big I know  Grin)

556  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Earn 0.0000001500 BTC per visit. Better than a faucet and free. on: June 19, 2018, 08:09:58 PM
Hello everyone, I recently finished a new platform. It is a PPC marketing platform or traffic exchange.
It consists of 2 roles:

Advertisers: those who buy 1000 visits through BTC.

Publishers who receive up to 80% of the income contributed by advertisers by sharing the links generated with their account. The links contain ads.
The platform is https://btcl.ink
It's not a PTC site or anything like that
Now I have to contact advertisers. I have some clients who may be interested, so soon there will be compensation for sharing links on the platform. If you want they can register, it's free.BTCBTCBTC
Your platform looks like a link shortner. What have this to do with the actual concept you are talking about? And if I understood well, for an user to earn 0.0000001500BTC per visit, the advertiser should pay ~1$ per 1000 visit right?Interesting. You should implement bot security features though and attract alot of advertisers to keep the website stable earner.

Hi,

I'm not here to promote myself but rather share a research I did in college regarding the clearance and operational process of cryptocurrencies and credit cards. It's a case analysis for the various situations that involves the movement of money in everyday operations.

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/clearance-comparison-between-credit-cards-nicholas-leonardi/?lipi=urn%3Ali%3Apage%3Ad_flagship3_profile_view_base_post_details%3B3jj3x2ZaSae%2Be3lIkRY7Ow%3D%3D

I apologize if it's the wrong section and I'll be happy to move to it to a more appropriate one if there is.

It's an extensive 30 page research where I explain the structure of both payment systems and then do a case analysis on the aspects of security, cost and efficiency.

Criticize as much as possible, I'd love to hear your points of view whether you agree or disagree on certain aspects.

558  Other / Meta / Re: Solve Captcha before posting in a topic? on: June 19, 2018, 04:55:02 AM
There is alot of services that provide solving the captchas (paid ofcourse but still,if an ICO want they can easily pay for it,doesn't cost much money)
I've heard of this, but I never understood how that works.  A captcha pops up on my screen when I go to log into bitcointalk--how the hell can someone else solve it?  How does someone solve captchas for money?  I'm probably being dense and missing something obvious.

Quite simple.Every captcha has an ID,the bot takes the ID of the captcha you get when you login (automatically detects it I guess) and upload it to 2captcha server (just an example of service).Next, those services also have an earning program (People solve captchas for money $0.4-$0.8 per 1000 I guess? Don't ask me why they do that for pennies -rip these poor souls) so in short, your captcha is solved by someone else using the captcha ID)

559  Economy / Services / Re: Nexybit Signature Campaign (Sr/Hero signature revised 4/13)(4/10 rates revised) on: June 19, 2018, 04:42:12 AM
To be fair,
I also received 0.00378BTC (it was my week's 10 payment) instead of 0.003456BTC (week 11 payment).Error is human,no problem you can exclude 0,000324BTC for this week or I'll make 3 additional posts.

Edit:Do 1 new sheet for every 2 weeks to avoid confusion it's better for the manager and for users to check their progress as well
Edit2:I hope rates gets raised this week.

Captchas aren't as effective as you think. There is alot of services that provide solving the captchas (paid ofcourse but still,if an ICO want they can easily pay for it,doesn't cost much money)
Example of what I'm saying:2captcha.
The forum needs another solution for this.Maybe making a custom captcha for the forum(words arranging maybe?...) would counter this but not sure though.
