1  Economy / Economics / Re: The volatility in the price of a bitcoin is falling over time, or not. on: September 14, 2021, 03:14:05 PM
After seeing the recent big drop in the price, I don't think that the volatility in the price is falling. It is the opposite and we can witness really interesting price changes. For example, Bitcoin price plummeted by 10k dollars recently in only half an hour. And I must admit that it was really scary as we witnessed such thing for the first time I guess. I think this proves that we will never see a change in Bitcoin's volatility in the future also.
It's still the same as before, we think the volatility is down because the price becomes stable, no big pumps and dumps, but multiple events can easily influence the price, so after bitcoin thrives and becomes popular, volatile movements become frequent. Bitcoin still operates the way it should be, there's a chance for the volatility to fall not very soon, but I think the chances, for now, are low as we see the community has grown significantly.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin assets cannot be blocked - is that helping terrorists? on: September 14, 2021, 02:06:32 PM
Bitcoin resources will help terrorists but they will not be able to make real use of it because bitcoin is not in circulation in all countries of the world and needs to be converted into fiat currency. Bitcoin transfer all transactions in an anonymous way thus the use of bitcoin by criminals is actually more risky than conventional methods, such as cash in hand transfer. Believes that the bitcoin blockchain is now being monitored more closely for illegal transactions than the banking system but it is difficult to criminalize kyc terrorists.
I do relate to the statement. Restrictions are bigger if you are handling bigger funds, liquidating BTC to fiat is not efficient due to limitations. We've seen cases of losing account access just from a withdrawal from casino sites. Imagine these terrorists use it; detection is really possible. It could also be detrimental to the image of the coins and community. I do accept the fact that bitcoin is used illegally, but not on other bigger issues.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: The arrival of new people in the world of cryptocurrency is really fun on: September 08, 2021, 03:45:38 PM
But there's also a dark side to all this fun, remember that where there's money to make, there's also people that will take advantage and scam people out of their hard earned money. It would be better if there's some precautions before getting into that everyone has to read so they don't fall for scams even if they're newbies.
I agree. google and social media ads and recommendations are not to be trusted, they use these multiple platforms to promote their fake projects in order to scam money from new investors, which is detrimental to the image of crypto. Things are a little easier now compared to before, the crypto community is more widespread across socials, information and guidance are readily available and people are willing to help.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin fall need a reason? on: September 08, 2021, 03:02:17 PM
When the price goes down, we see bad news, but investors make fun of the situation since they know it's just a phase of the market situation; some urge people to buy more since they can buy it cheaper. The huge fall is surprising, but we will recover soon. More events can influence the market as the community grows.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is a hardware wallet really worth it? on: September 08, 2021, 02:12:38 PM
If I have a significant amount of bitcoin to save for a long-term holding, it would be great to have a hardware wallet for safety.
Some devices are affordable but should be taken seriously, we don't know what these random online sellers are selling.
It's great for security as our assets are not readily available to liquidate, making them safe from hackers.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not make curiosity to people around you while you are playing gambling. on: September 08, 2021, 02:02:39 PM
I learned gambling from my family, they only do it for fun since the money still circulates for our expenses. The only problem is the card games are addictive, entertaining, and the feeling of winning is exciting. I actually stop cause I relate gambling to receiving bad karma in life. I was playing regularly with friends when I was a kid, my parent got mad and started to become ill, we also had financial shortages. I just promise not to do it again, and days become better. There's no problem with gambling, as long as you do it moderately, not being too invested or addicted to it. We have to control and be wise with our spendings. I only try online gambling for some time since I can control my spendings here, I only use what I can lose, no hard feelings in the end.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dont get sad over what could have been on: September 08, 2021, 01:32:01 PM
When we are in red days like this just remember the market always recovers and goes to new ath. Having diamond hands is the best thing you can do in crypto world. Looking at bigger picture always pays off.
Yes, it's expected, we believe in the potential of cryptocurrencies, there are tendencies that we miss opportunities, but it doesn't mean we won't see new opportunities in the future. the growth of the community is exponential, there are better platforms with great protocol to be developed, we might find our gems soon.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7th September 2021 Bitcoin becomes legal tender first in history on: September 08, 2021, 12:12:57 PM
Even though El Salvador is considered a small country, they still have an impact as we see investors joining the hype of buying bitcoin. This will be a step-up process of understanding the result of using bitcoin as a legal tender; we can see possibilities and learn on how to make a better approach of implementation in the future.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bye Bye Bitcoin on: September 07, 2021, 02:45:09 PM
Those kinds of news are just misleading; all they want is clout, probably the reason why we see it on our recommendations. If they think that this coin should be worthless, we should've been able to recognize it first and much earlier. I still even consider BTC as underrated, it really deserves more attention.
One of the news that muddled me is all about quantum computer possibility to hack a bitcoin wallet, I thought it was bad news at first, but they just emphasize the ability of it to be used for ethical hacking.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is Trending on Twitter on: September 07, 2021, 02:26:39 PM
Bitcoin is a popular keyword to begin with. I've seen projects using it to increase post engagements. These projects market their products by using related tags with the most amount of community members; as a result, they will get more impressions and leads. Today, it's trending because of big news about El Salvador being the first nation to make Bitcoin legal tender.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the stupidest thing you have bought for BTC in the past ? on: September 07, 2021, 11:23:09 AM
I do think those early members can relate to this. But looking backward on all my purchases, I can't think of something that didn't provide any benefits in return, I didn't just get the ease of transactions with bitcoin, I also do get discounts from some platforms that I use. The only negative that I could think of is how I did use it to invest in high-yield investment programs.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will its price start being stabilized? on: September 07, 2021, 11:02:33 AM
I think it won't stabilize, but the movement of price will slowly move from some timeframe. What I'm looking forward to is the benefits we could get in the future; locals will show more interest as we see multiple platforms adopting bitcoin; of course, demands will be high so opportunities for holders will increase. Maybe there could be better alternatives in the future, but it won't happen very soon.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest my 10,000 USD on: September 06, 2021, 12:55:05 PM
I'll stick to the safest. Bitcoin and Ethereum always promise a good profit by just holding them long-term. If you are confident with your investment, you won't lose anything from your investment. With that great amount of money, you could expand your income stream and invest on other platforms; just keep updated and follow the trend.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: knowledge and Capital which is Very important in Business or Investment? on: September 06, 2021, 10:08:15 AM
Both. as an aspiring entrepreneur, I learned how important is your network, it's important to have enough connections in order to succeed, you still need capital to learn how these successful people operate. It's either you do courses or hire someone as a coach. These coaches learn strategic ways to succeed, they spent enough time and energy learning it through experience.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Only young and naive guy believe in high risk high return on: September 06, 2021, 08:17:14 AM
Taking high risk doesn't guarantee you a high return every time. It is a really ridiculous saying I think. If you fall for it, there is a high probability for you to lose maybe all of your investment amount or most of it. In this market, taking higher risks can take you to really interesting places. So I think that the best thing to do is to make a regular investment into some coin and go on with it.  Grin
And just deal with the risk that you'll take for each of those coin that you're going to invest.

It is very important to take those risk and know how high or low they are because it's your money that's being invested. Whether you're young or not, it is normal to take risks.
We should do our own research to minimize the risk but it's also great learning if you experience it first hand.
Even traders learn things the hard way when they start trading on a real market.
It's either you win or learn should be the mindset of these young investors, we just learn during the process.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is one of the saviors. on: September 06, 2021, 08:05:33 AM
I feel its benefits; knowing about bitcoin opens a platform for me to learn and explore a growing community of earners and investors; fiat doesn't have a niche down community, but in here, we see skillful developers offering a protocol that opens up opportunities for everyone. Bitcoin is not only focused on providing financial benefits, but also a knowledge of what blockchain technology has to offer; it saves us by expanding our narrow minds on our financial and technological knowledge.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is not limited till buying Bitcoins, it is beyond this. on: September 06, 2021, 07:42:59 AM
I'm glad that P2E and Blockchain-based games are getting known by the locals and non-investors; it's a great opportunity for everyone to earn and learn more about the crypto community. There's always a risk as investments are huge to start, but P2E partnerships give players to earn without spending. Having an NFT could give you a gem or junk; as NFT becoming popular, there would be scammers taking advantage of it.

As a small investor, I do really feel the hindrance of not having enough resources, but there's a lot of existing and upcoming platforms that we could join.
I see lots of newbies getting success out of them.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't bitcoin go up higher percentages like altcoins? on: September 05, 2021, 01:53:21 PM
You are probably comparing Bitcoin to hype coins from some chain where more investors are only aiming for a short-term profit. They will shill the coin until they earn an incredible increase, and they will eventually plan for a safe exit.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL vs Staking, What is the best strategy? on: September 05, 2021, 01:44:55 PM
I would choose based on what I need; both are giving you benefits and profits. If you want to control your bad spending habits, I will go for the HODL process to learn patience and delayed gratification. On the other hand, Staking would be great if you need regular earnings for your crypto activities or outside needs. We have different preferences based on what we would like to do with our coins; we must consider the reliability and security of the platform we are investing in.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is only new to the newbie on: September 05, 2021, 01:36:40 PM
These newbies should accept that Ponzis victimized them during the time it was prevalent; reliable information is more accessible now than before. The community is much cleaner now. Being swayed by scam programs and platforms is a phase that newbies usually experience; some learn it instantly, but unfortunately, some learn things the hard way. Doing our own research and asking someone trusted would help.
