I really had hopes in this project.
I got hooked by the initial marketing memes - "Naughty America partnership" and "decentralized Netflix".
Unfortunately, those were used only to cook hype around ICO and nothing more.
At the first day of ICO, early bird investor could get 7.500,00 DCT (5000+50% bonus) for 1 BTC.
Today, we are able to get 330.000,00DCT for 1BTC!
In other words, to make ICO investors break even in terms of invested BTC, DCT price needs to rise staggering 4.000,00%
Unfortunately, price is not able to rise because DCT is not listed on any relevant exchange that can bring liquidity.
Bittrex was only good exchange, but they are currently facing the same faith as Poloniex - huge drop in volume.
For example, if initial investor would like to invest some BTC just to correct his entry (ICO) price, how can he do that if there's no volume?
Is there any hope for this project?
Also, what happened to the initial team? Where is Matej Boda? Where did "old" ambassadors dissapear?
Can we finally get honest answer what happened to this project and money that we gifted to the DCT team through ICO?

Any news regarding new exchange listings?
Lately, coins that are not listed on Binance are becoming less and less relevant and proportionally illiquid.
Decent token is extremely low market cap coin that could benefit greatly by being exposed to Binance liquidity.
Especially if they open up margin trading.
Are you at least able to apply for Binance DEX?
Otherwise, I can't see this moving forward as investment vehicle.

@holmes70 is overly offensive and @rebelway518 is overly defensive... truth is somewhere between those two sides... to be honest I am leaning towards @holmes70 because this project gave me quite big financial hit and it doesn't show any sign of possible recovery... I still cant find any good tutorials how to build something on this "platform"... There are far better options to invest hard earned money than put them into this, just my opinion... financial aspects of this projects are absolutely laughable and shameful - 2M marketcap, couple $k daily volume, no adoption (ALAX? lol)... Before ICO there were alot of articles filled with gloom and bloom, now only "blog" posts on dev site that no one reads... etc... etc... @holmes70
To scam someone means roughly the same thing as to swindle them. Changing your wording doesn't refute the fact that DECENT does not control the market.
DECENT does not control the trading volume of their coin, traders do.
DECENT does not control the price of their coin, traders do.
Not even sure where your are coming up with the "suspicious transactions". Please provide proof, or is this just another of your baseless lies?
So, to repeat myself again, to claim that you were scammed by any entity for reasons that are beyond their control is foolish and incorrect.
DECENT's mission is to create a platform which can be used by almost any and all who wish to build a blockchain enhanced project. They have completed numerous milestones towards that goal, they are continually working on enhancements, improvements and outreach, and with their resilient dedication they will continue to grow.

Maybe dct team would have spent a lot of money doing workshop in Seoul and hackathon.
So who has sold dct until now? Always same pattern.
This happens all the time in the middle of the month.
Paycheck? Travel expanse? Maybe both.
Dct team is making dct coin a garbage coin.

They always speak as if there is good news. There are also some guys who put up a good article here and get 100dct from dct team.
They always blame the market for the dct coin price decline, and the bad writing for the dct team is fud.
Look, price of DCT token was quite stable in 30-50k sats for some time, last year. Then it started to tank due to BTC poopshow (pump and dump) and later orchestrated BTC fud all over media (remember "cryptowinter is comming" headlines? BTC is fad, bubble etc...) Now, BTC bottom is obviously reached and we're coiling for new jump to the highs. DCT is under the radar and it's main market (bittrex) had extreme volume loss in last 12 months due to bear market and binance. I highly doubt that team is selling DCT tokens because: 1) it would be extremely dumb to sell this low, especially for devs who are actually developing something and releasing working products (did you see new web wallet?) 2) market volume is very low, what they can do with couple BTC? Take a look on TRX market please, last winter zone. Peaks are meant for selling, not bottoms. Price is falling because new DCT buyers are panicking and constantly dropping their bags to those buy orders under them. You only need two dumbos to buy 10BTC worth now and in couple days drop their bags to buy book. In that case, we're going to reach 0 sats. Also, I must notice that something is surely not OK with you. You are all over DCT reddit, bitcointalk and twitter. Posting same nonsene again and again. Are you aware that you cant do anything about this? You are annoying yourself and people around you. We cant force team to list on binance nor we can develop their work. If you think that we can do better, then please fork their github and invite us, I'd gladly join you. Save your mental health. If you invested too much in this, only reasonable thing to do now is to wait for better selling opportunities. |

Man, you're wasting so much energy here its ridiculous. Unfortunately, despite all effort, that cant change anything. I would suggest you to take a break for couple days till Blockshow. They might announce something there that might cause pump. Also, I would wait to see will they deliver SDK and new wallet till end of year, according to roadmap. As investor, I think the responsibility of the dct price is the inability of the dct team.
What does the dct team do in this situation? The dct team seems to feel that they are marketing very little events without actually doing important marketing.
I understand your frustration, but if you want to win this trade try to be patient. If you're anxious about DCT future, try to join telegram and ask their admins whatever you wish. Price is near all time low, so it's very probable it will bounce soon. |

Hey man, do you realize that you're complaining about amazing buying opportunity? It's almost a sin not to take advantage of such... ehm... low price. DCT is a great, working tech. Transactions are very quick, github code and documentation are very good, team is expanding constantly and overall everything's looking pretty serious and good. Decentralized storage, IPFS and related stuff are buzz words of near future. Price is like this because overall situation in crypto world. Too much "investors" got burned by buying tops last December. Also, bittrex lost a lot of volume because of restrictions and binance. I think that team is taking a good approach by maintaining hackathons and not paying for exchange listings. Hackathons are good for creation of new startups on the top of DCT tech and overall development of ecosystem. Paying for exchange listings is bad because that usually cost alot of money and received value is questionable and obviously short term. Year ago Poloniex was the main exchange, then Bittrex, now Binance... tomorrow something new? decentralized exchange? who knows... Best thing to do now is buy some and wait for SDK release. DCT needs user friendly software development kit, newbie tutorials and some good apps to serve as examples what can be achieved using DCore tech. |

Has there been a code review by anyone? Since i am not a coder i don't know what pros and cons the decent code in github has. The price riht now doesn't make any sense to me and i am starting to think i have missed some crucial information on the quality of the code. Either that or this is just a gem that is flying under the radar.
Under the radar IMO, and the devs are making nice progress. At first day of ICO, early bird investor could get 7500DCT (5000+50% bonus) for 1 BTC. Today, we are able to get 22000DCT for 1BTC. With all this progress and effort vested in the project, only pure dumbos would miss such opportunity to buy some at this very nice sale. I've tested it myself by implementing it in my side project based on IPFS. Upcoming SDK for iOS and Android will make a positive shockwave throughout crypto community. Hackathons are meant to raise awareness throughout developer community and provide some neat projects based on DCore tech. Current crypto situation is in total mess because of clueless speculators but soon will begin new era when utility and innovations will be appreciated. DCT is a high profile project which can proudly stand side by side with giants like ETH and NEO. Believe it or not, it's your decision. |
