What IOTA is doing in last days is crazy. I'm in XRB for a long time now and quite happy with outcome, especially that faucet got closed. We just need more exposure, some bigger exchanges and partnerships. After this there is only one way this project might go...  What was the issue with the Miner? I thought it was pretty cool! Instead of talking about project and development community was focused on getting free money. Slack channel was only about faucet now working. Since it's closed quality is much better and there is more going on around the project. Yeah that was the problem that was holding this project back from its potential, a lot of investors never really took this project seriously because the community is full of people who are just interested on this project for the free xrb, they never really cared about its development nor its features they only care about the free money, not only was the Slack channel full of people talking about the faucet, even on here, there were 3-4 pages created almost everyday by people who are just complaining about the faucet, they just keep on spamming this thread about the problems that they were having with the faucet they even went as far as hating on the devs, but now though it's great that the community are full of people who are in this for its potential, it's great that now the thread is filled with posts that are very helpful towards the project and are all related to the current development of raiblocks. I really am glad that we've finally got rid of those kind of people, the community is really peaceful now compared before. And it's also full of people who are here to help this project grow and become as big as IOTA. Exactly my views. The XRB community on Discord is so welcoming and evolving every day. People are flooding into XRB discord and finding new home. Reminds me of IOTA community early days. Now IOTA has become so big that you hardly get to read people's posts on slack. 2-3 posts every second posted by people on Iota #speculation channel. I am sure XRB discord is going to grow as big as Iota slack today very soon. |

What's the chance XRB can take some of IOTA's market share. Everything I hear about IOTA is that it is a scam, has a bug in its code and has a poor management team. This would be good news for XRB, no?
That's all FUD spread to accumulate cheap IOTA before this pump. IOTA is more geared towards machine to machine txs. XRB is not competing with IOTA in any way. XRB wants to be a currency and a store of value. This is not a fork of any other chain. Coded from ground up. Unique tech. XRB will be noticed by the market soon. When it does, expect the same IOTA like rally. Parabolic. Just buy and HODL. The coolest thing about XRB is when you send 100 and you receive 100 instantly. Isn't it freaking astounding? Only XRB can do it out of 1300 cryptocurrencies on CMC besides IOTA. Isn't this sufficient to feature XRB in top 50 on coinmarktcap? |

XRB it is XRP is a shitcoin/possibly a scam Hey mate that's not too nice, don't be like that, we don't want the XRP community to be hating on us on here anyway I do agree with what @shixd8899 is saying here, these couple of months in terms of development this project has really made a lot of progress, it's been improving the wallet, creating a mobile wallet not just in android but in ios as well, changing the roadmap and improving the whitepaper and so far these new changes has impacted the community in such a positive way the price of xrb has increased, even though it's just a couple of percent but still there's growth in the market but that's not enough though, if we want this project to be taken seriously by the masses and to reach a bigger market then we really need xrb to be added on a bigger exchange, this coin has so much potential and its disappointing that it's stuck on small exchanges with very low volume, the devs should really pay the cost of the big exchanges, if they need the community's support to make that happen then they should reach out and tell us what we can do, because in 2018 if this will continue, then this coin will be stuck with this price and will always be undervalued. Why are some people pointing XRB as one of the big projects in 1 or 2 years? Is it a decentralized exchange, right? Transactions are instantaneous and distribution is fair, right? Is there anything else?  Because they are only three projects that has DAG technology IOTA, XRB, Byteball out of 1326 cryptocurrencies. Only IOTA and XRB has zero txs fee. |

so i need some help guys, i made a transfer a long time ago from cryptopia to my wallet, however it never really got there, online it says "waiting for wallet to accept", the problem is that wallet has never really synced, and my wallet says locked, try to unlock it but it doesnt really do anything
so i got it to unlocked, how long does synchronizing last? i feel like its been a few weeks and nothing yet Did you transfer XRB when it used to get traded on topia? That was long back. Which version wallet are you using? I recommend you download new version wallet and use your seed to recover |

Is the wallet in raiblocks.net safe? Would be good to have a checksum.
Anyway, I downloaded it, but it says I am disconnected. I just created my first block (account), do I have to do additional steps to start syncing?
Let the wallet sync the entire chain. Make sure you have 4-5 GB free space. For the first time, the complete wallet sync takes usually 2-3 days. After that, the wallet is smooth and the txs will be instant. The dev team is working on light node. When its available, it will sync fast. The android app is also under development. |

Micropayments is a relatively unexplored concept, and it may really become the successor of cryptos.
Having instant, no-fee transactions is the unexplored concept, and micropayments is one of the great possibilities such protocol allows. Being able to send milions or fractions of a cent to the other end of the globe, in seconds, without paying any fee and on a decentralized network relly gets me excited. Right. There are only two (IOTA and XRB) that can do micro transactions with zero txs fee. Out of 1328 currencies on coinmarketcap as of Nov 29th 2017. Isn't it just amazing? It wouldn't take much time for market to identify the unique block lattice technology of raiblocks. I think the price in the ED is good, it has not entered the price of ICO. I feel the loss because it is selling COB token with cheap price. goodluck for doing this hold coin
Please explain that. The highest ICO price was 4000 COB/ETH. Now you can get 3600 COB/ETH at Etherdelta. And the price for 1 Ether has risen from 290$ to 480$ since the end of the ICO. That means: Highest ICO price: 0,0725$ / COB Price now at Etherdelta: 0,1333$ / COB Beta wasn't live during ico. So ico investors took risk throwing money at some whitepaper. Compared to other icos, Cob's price hasn't exploded as expected. There is some sort of dissatisfaction among ico guys. But soon, this patience will be rewarded for all HODLERS. |

Because it gave so much value compared to privately funded faucets, it attracted both those in third world circumstances who could actually make a living from using the faucet, as well as "entrepreneurs" who would use the labor of indigent for their own profit. At 1k satoshi price, we were essentially giving away 28 btc weekly. People claimed, sold on the market, and did as they pleased. Pools offered direct btc payments from working on the faucet but kept a hefty cut (around 30%). Others found ways to use machine learning to solve the captchas more rapidly. In the end, it became a mess of people only concerned with selling for btc and cashing out, not wanting to actually learn about or really use RaiBlocks, and thus causing massive trouble for the early exchange(s) that traded XRB. Cryptopia delisted us due to the volume of support tickets, some say even due to death threats from angry users. Ultimately we found that while a very fair method of distributing, the Faucet model was causing far too much harm to RaiBlocks as a currency, as a project. Approx 30 percent distributed was enough, so we ended it and destroyed the remaining funds.
Whatever negatives there may have been, we can say, really, that the distribution of RaiBlocks could be considered the first implementation of Universal/Basic income in the cryptocurrency space. Philipinos, Venezuelans, and many others in distressed economies were able to provide for themselves using it.

I started reading information about RaiBlocks to improve my understanding about the technology. What I did not understand yet, what are the incentives to secure the network and to find the consensus when there are no fees? IOTA follows a similar feelss approach. It solved the problem by making each transaction possible only after confirming two other transactions. How is it with Raiblocks?

**This post is for the XRB fans who badmouth IOTA on Iota forums**
I see a lot of XRB fans bashing IOTA on Iota forums. Don't think badmouthing IOTA would help XRB gain value. In general all DAG cryptos are undervalued. People haven’t realized the potential of DAG technology. 2018 will be huge for XRB IOTA and byteball. Unfortunately XRB is so under the radar because of lack of big exchanges trading. It should change hopefully soon. I could clearly see iota becoming no. 3 crypto in 2018. XRB should easily be > $100MM. I don’t see iota as competition. They are aiming for different goals. But iota’s success could get more eyes look into XRB’s technology.
There is some sort of the correlation between Iota's price and XRB's price. I am active in Iota speculation slack. They call everything shitcoin besides Iota (including Eth.) XRB does have some respect in Iota slack. Iota fanboys seemed to be curious about XRB and its tech. Some iota folks that I know recently bought XRB a small % of portfolio with Iota profits. Whenever Iota is making big news on reddit or twitter, XRB comes into discussion. People research Raiblocks and identify how gem of crypto XRB is.
