I've always questioned why metamask wants access to your clipboard (Google Chrome extention) and therefore have stayed away from it. Should I buy a seperate device just for metamask or stay away?

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins are Not Real — Or how People Blindly Believe Nakamoto's Post

Everything... but I truly mean EVERYTHING you have written, including the little sources under the post and your Wordpress link with 2 google ads in there and some ''nice try'' trust links.... All that effort... all that garbage for a few cents of Adsense revenue...
You truly, are one of the weirdest people, with balls, I'd admit that, to post this utter el garbo on here. I don't even know where to start debunking your statements.

Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Casino Critique - needs sugesstion. PGP finger print and signed bitcoin address

This will never ever rank/work. Why even raise money to start an affiliate website, get content writing lol.
Allow me to explain what you already did wrong or lied to us about.
1. If you guys were ''Bitcointalk old timers'', you wouldn't need to raise money. 2. Raising money for an affiliate website is sort of unheard of, if it was your own casino and you needed $40k for iSoftbet white label package, yeah...maybe. 3. ''Keeping it on the low'' by posting the url without spaces or anything *cough* backlink from btctalk.org? 4. What is the initial asked-for amount based upon? 5. Have you done market research? Do you know how competitive the casino niche is, even if you think you're tackling some niche as ''crypto casinos'' which every casino affiliate site has a tab for in their header menu nowadays? 6. The idea of a PGP fingerprint casino is fun, all plays well to believers of ANON, which is fine, but ehum how do you know a 14-year-old hasn't downloaded Kleopatra and how are you going to do KYC, AML?
Bottom line: the idea is nice, but keep owning your own ''revolutionary online casino'' as a dream for now.

Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we gamble or trade?

For that instance, there is no reason why we have to use that platform as in the first place, their reputation is even quite questionable. We can't make feel how trading looks like on this platform but a curse - We'd see no profit from this but losses.
This is one reason why I am seldom using new exchanges, lack of transparency, fees, unexpected charges - all I can say is that better to stay away from these kinds of exchanges for they don't care about us but themselves.
Pretty much sums up my thoughts when reading this post. ''What the hell is Probit'' and what the...... is Geegoopuzzle (latest listed coin on there)? My advice is the same: stay away from this stuff.

Economy / Economics / Re: Removal of $100 bills from circulation
|
on: August 27, 2022, 08:04:04 PM

This caught my attention. In the EU they removed 500 euro notes, but I can't easily accept this post saying that the USA will remove $100 bills from circulation. $100 is already a pretty ''low'' note, to be honest, it's not that there's a $500 note. If this is true and $50 becomes the new highest USD-denominated bill, this should say something about the economy...

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your recent altcoin investment and why?
|
on: July 09, 2022, 02:09:09 PM
|
My recent altcoin investments are:
1. Litecoin 2. Elrond 3. Algorand 4. Near Protocol 5. Bitcoin Cash
Reasons why:
Litecoin because of the new MimbleWimble feature which makes Litecoin practically an anon coin. I want to make sure I always have at least one anon coin in my portfolio and this is a great x3, maybe x4 mid-term play.
Elrond because of low supply, great dev team, and I think that I can go x5 to x7 ish within a year or two with it.
Algorand because of its unique POS system that I sort of bet on can compete with ETH 2.0. I hope to go 3x with this within a year.
Near Protocol because I like its workings and I expect it to go 10x within 18 months tops.
Bitcoin Cash because it is so cheap now I couldn't keep myself in and bought it, only to be probably selling it from $250-$300ish onwards, going my money times 2,5 - x3 ish.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Moving HBAR from Kucoin to MyHbarWallet

Thanks for the reply. I did everything in that guide and even started a live chat with a Ledger employee this morning. It seems I have set up everything correctly as per the guide you mentioned and I should indeed contact Kucoin as per why they don't support withdrawals of HBAR. I find it a bit rude/weird of Kucoin to state ''invalid address'', confusing me for quite some time, whilst they probably just don't support withdrawing the token to external wallets.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Moving HBAR from Kucoin to MyHbarWallet
|
on: June 16, 2022, 05:43:13 PM
|
Hello dear crypto friends, It has been a couple years since I last posted on this forum and I am sorry for that to begin with. Recently I started to become very active in the crypto space again and there is this one thing I just don't get, which should probably be very easy: getting HBAR (Hedera Hash) from Kucoin to MyHbarWallet. As we have seen the whole debacle unfold with Luna and Celsius, I am a believer of self-custody. I am now and have been ever since I bought my first crypto many years ago. Anyway, long story short: I have a MyHbarWallet, I have HashPack, I have Hedera on my ledger, but for some reason when I type in either the public key OR 0.0.0xxxxxx account ID as withdrawal address at Kucoin it says: adress format invalid. The only thing I can think of that I possibly did wrong or didnt do yet, is activate my MyHbarWallet. Now the thing is, how can I activate it without funds in it when I cannot send funds to it to activate it? It seems really weird and I have been trying to get this work for quite some time now. I would highly appreciate it if someone maybe knows what I did wrong or what I should do in order to move my HBAR from Kucoin straight into MyHbarWallet via my Ledger so that I am in control over my coins rather than Kucoin. It is not that I don't trust Kucoin I just like to be in control of my own coins, especially as we aren't talking a few pennies. Anyway, that was it. Will start lurking around now a bit and see all the new cool stuff y'all discussing

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / after 48 hours of troubleshooting just 1 gpu not working left! (1070)
|
on: September 26, 2017, 09:44:04 AM
|
Hi guys,
After a lot of forums, youtube vids and tomshardware I have managed to fix 5 gpus that weren't working well before, just one left! I even managed to make a dual rig amd+nividia. Anyway, let's get to the case:
The problem is with a 1070. If I put it directly in the 16 lane slot in motherboard, it works. If I place it on a riser (for temperature control) in the rig, it wont work and my PC won't boot. I am sure I am doing something wrong. I have 7th generation risers with the 6 pin to SATA and the 1070 needs 2x6 pin to 8 pin to psu. I tried the following:
both 2x6+2 (the +2 not needed) to the psu, 6 pin to sata from riser to a fresh sata cable with space for 3 more sata connections but I use only this sata slot (as per Angry Chickens video never more than 2 on same SATA line. Question I have here is is my card getting to much power and that's why psu prevents booting (75 per input, makes for 225 total and only 150 needed)?
Questions:
1. Would it work if I leave the 2x6 pin in (gpu to psu) and then just unplug the sata as a whole as riser/card get's enough power anyway? 2. I really don't want to do this but if it's only exception.... can I use 2 6 pin to molex and then a fresh 3-4 slot molex cable from psu to riser/gpu?
Kind regards,
D
