201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin be protected by freedom of speech? on: July 02, 2021, 04:44:02 PM
The idea of having freedom of speech goes both ways just as how there are two sides on an coin. It can either be good or bad depending on where the speech is coming from and to the way the listeners or readers interpret the speech. There may also be cases where these speeches get exploited to give a meaning far from its true intention which is pretty common nowadays with the media. But yes, Bitcoin as it is can prove to be very difficult to ban just like that. But still, there can be a number of things that if ever happens will result in bitcoin being banned and one of these things is as mentioned above: freedom of speech.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about NFTs? on: June 29, 2021, 08:49:41 PM
^^ Like that title says. I want to know more about what you guys in Altcoin Discussion think about NFTs?

Do you have any overall thoughts or even any NFT projects you like? lmk

The NFTs existence is probably the best thing that has ever happened to this industry since it has given such a huge contribution in hastening the worldwide adoption of crypto currencies through connecting into a wide variety of industries with the use of the NFT technology mainly focusing on security of arts, and game assets which can also branch out into other connected industries. This only makes it good for us enthusiasts since it exposes this not commonly heard industry of ours to the open world and reach people that this industry would never have been able to reach if not for the existence of NFTs.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Risk of Axie Infinity NFT Game? on: June 29, 2021, 10:17:05 AM
Not only in the philippines but all over the world. This is because of the fact that axie is somewhat connected to pokemon in a broader sense. And as we all know, pokemon was a huge hit in the 90s to the early 2000s and even after the hype has went down a bit, it resumed on the proceeding years in 2000s. With this, the pokemon fanatics where hooked. Now if you also count the crypto enthusiasts in this industry that have a good number of gamers as well, it isn't too hard to imagine how big it would be in a few years time. But yes, despite its reputation and the duration of its existence, there are still risks. Like software  problems, phishing, etc., etc. Despite this risks though, people are still willing to dive in since the rewards outweighs the risks greatly specially when you put a lot of time in reading and preparing not just for the game itself but for the problems or risks that are existing or may have the chance to exist. There really is nothing wrong with doing what you want as long as you know and are sure about what you are doing and responsible enough to take responsibility for any consequences that may occur because of your choices.
204  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Whats Up with the Woke racist Left? on: June 29, 2021, 09:40:04 AM
propagating antiracism for decades, it turns out it is 100% just hypocritical and racist?

the issues with anti-racism is where it becomes so woke they actually start segregating people of the world into groups

its the same with LGB group.
by labelling them as LGB or black instead of just human. they are segregating themselves out.
they are trying to get different treatment than other humans.
they want to be recognised as different to other humans

its like cities offering neighbourhoods like 'little china' so that chinese can feel comfortable and together..
end result is a prison estate where only chinese should exist.

the over woke 'integration' plans end up being segregation plans

a white british person is just called british
a black british person is called african-carribean
a white american is just american
a black american is called afro-american or more recently black-american

i wonder if the hypocritical overwokes would start to call whites as
blonde american
darkhair american
ginger american

and see how long that lasts for them to become awake to their previous woke

This does make sense. Most are just doing this for selfish reasons and mainly for feeding their EGOs. Some even demand special treatment just because they want to be labeled higher from everyone else. And when you try to call them out, they resort to making themselves look pitiful, saying they are being oppressed or something(the guilt game) then they make arguments that are nonsense but never want to listen to other's arguments and reply with a whole bunch of other nonsense. Disgusting hypocrites.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: African regulators warn cryptocurrencies may not be legitimate on: June 29, 2021, 09:10:13 AM
This is very saddening. I really feel for the Nigerians that are being rid of the chance to be finally capable of achieving financial freedom. I feel sad for the wasted opportunities that could change the lives of the many in Nigeria. The lives that are the very foundation of the nation; the future. All of this because of what? Selfish reasons, closed minds and greed. If karma is true, I really wish that these leaders get f*cked up so bad by it that they would rather wish to be dead.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you worry about not being able to convert BTC to fiat in future on: June 29, 2021, 08:37:16 AM
This has been my biggest worry ever since I have gotten into this industry. Even with the the fortunate fact that the government here in my country doesn't pin down on crypto enthusiasts, the news I keep hearing about how bitcoin is being treated in a world wide scale is still scaring me a lot to this day. This is the main reason why I am very hesitant with investing or keeping my money in bitcoin or any other crypto currency. I end up just taking out profits every time and have a set maximum for investing. Even my friends are afraid to be found out by the government that they are using crypto currencies since if bad happens to bitcoin and the governments decide to track all crypto currency enthusiasts, it will be very easy for them to do so by then.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from Robinhood on: June 28, 2021, 04:14:11 PM
Welp, seems like another one has fallen victim to robinhood. If you make a quick search, you will see a lot of people ranting about their complaints towards robinhood services. Even on stocks a lot of people are hating on robinhood. I really don't know how they manage to get away with this kind of customer service. I just wish people would research more about an exchange before even trying to use the services provided by any exchange. Regret is such an awful feeling don't let it happen to you.
208  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is AstraZeneca vaccine: safe or not safe? on: June 28, 2021, 12:08:42 PM
This astrazenica vaccine is really a hot topic here in our place. A lot of people are very reluctant in taking the shots ever since several videos talking about how bad astrazenica is for everyone and that a lot have died because of astrazenica emerged. This has even reach the primetime news here in my country. And so, even the ones who have already taken the first dose like me before hearing the news about it, are also very reluctant since the videos circulating around along with the one on the news said that it is not suitable for ages 59 and below. This means that some complications may occur after the second dose.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fixed supply vs reducing supply on: June 28, 2021, 10:05:54 AM
The supply of bitcoin is already too low for its demand. I really do not think that this will be good rather, I think it would be bad for bitcoin since it wouldn't be able to circulate more because instead of using it as a means of payment more often to contribute in worldwide adoption, people would just be hoarding bitcoins and the ones who would be in greater advantage are the whales that can keep on accumulating. Which can make it easier for them to manipulate market conditions which does not only affect bitcoin but also most of the altcoins.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: Founders of South African Bitcoin exchange disappear after $3.6 billion 'hack' on: June 25, 2021, 05:36:51 PM
The fact that the founders themselves were telling the customers to not inform the authorities about the "hack" that has happened already placed a target sign on them. They had all the time in the world to prepare for such a feat but became impatient and did the scam half-assed. Lol. Now they have to live the rest of their lives in hudung because of this mistake. Even if they had planned things thoroughly, releasing such a statement was just ridiculously dumb. Literally no one would ever say such things if the "hack" that they were using as an excuse were really true. I hope they get caught and rot in jail for scamming people who did a lot of effort to gain capitals for investing in thus industry.
211  Economy / Economics / Re: Real Inflation only happens when Central Banks print High Denominated Notes? on: June 25, 2021, 03:22:28 PM
I noticed that every country that experienced high/hyper inflation, the central bank in that country has to print a very high denominated fiat note/bill.

For example in Zimbabwe I see kids carrying notes in their pockets displaying on them $10 Trillion Zimbabwe dollars. These poor starving kids are trillionaires much richer than the richest billionaires like Elon Musk and Bill Gates on the planet on a monetary unit scale.

In the US the highest denominated note bill now is $100.

So the question is as long the highest denominated bill still remains $100 then there wont be any high/hyper inflation worries in the future?

I understand if the Federal Reserve printed a $1000 bill/note then that would be concerning right?

The Fed can print trillions and still print trillions but as long the fed keeps the highest denominated note bill to $100 they they can manipulate inflation in their control correct and keep their $US Dollar still in power?

Bitcoin is a hedge against inflation but if there's no inflation or there is inflation but manipulated to look like there's no inflation then what that will mean for bitcoin?

You have to understand that there many causes for inflation. For instance, it can occur when services or products increase price due to the high costs of production in which the culprits are raw materials being scarce and manpower. And thus makes people willing to pay higher prices for the same products and services. The printing you have mentioned isn't really the cause but instead, one of the results of inflation. And like others mentioned, Zimbabwe is experiencing a severe case of inflation leading to such means. It's effects on bitcoin may rather be good though since this just means more inflow of investments due to fear of heavy inflation.

Trees are not scarce and is a raw material. Trees can be replanted for more trees yet lumber prices were at all time highs weeks back. Is it because of inflation? Production nowadays is suppose to be cheaper compared to decades ago because technology and Ai and automation nowadays makes production more efficient, Automation requires less manpower so should be cheaper right so prices rising due to inflation not because of production costs?

This may prove to be true but quite a shallow way of looking at it. Trees can be replanted, yes. But it is not instant, and the land for these trees aren't being maintained thus it reduces due to modernizations. And with this we are seeing even stricter regulations in an attempt to preserve or minimize the abuse on using not just lumber but a wide variety of raw materials. Now, while it is true that fully automated manufacturing using AI and smart machineries is the trend nowadays, it doesn't mean that everyone has already adapted to it, nor does it mean that adopting such manufacturing methods are cheap. Not to mention it's lack of availability for certain parts of the world. That's how I understand our today.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether bug in CMC. on: June 23, 2021, 10:01:12 PM
What  a funny bug, lol. If this was true, I would already be crying nails right now since I already used up all my usdt to buy good coins on sale when btc was at 30k something. Nut seriously though, I remember cmc back then to be a good source of coin information than coingecko. Which is why I used it quite often. Maybe its because the coins in this industry are increasing in such a fast pace? Or maybe they are understaffed? I really am not sure, but it seems I need to switch sources now since there are already a couple of bugs in cmc. Accuracy is so important in this industry and I just cant risk it.
213  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Reality Winner has been released from prison. on: June 23, 2021, 08:16:59 PM
Thinking about it, I really cannot understand why she would do such a thing. Applying for a job there and then releasing documents that should only be kept within the walls of NSA. If I'm not mistaken, all employees should be briefed well before they get accepted and do agree with the terms that are set. So why though? A grudge? Spy? Or maybe she just saw something too bad to not let everyone else know? No matter the case, her career is broken and I doubt that she'd still be doing the same since I bet she'd be too scared to death to even try after all she's been through. The contents of what she wanted to reveal intrigues me though, good enough to ponder about.
214  Economy / Economics / Re: The trend of prices is still upward, any hope for downward? on: June 23, 2021, 06:01:23 PM
COVID 19 enriched majorities while the minorities suffer.
The current increament in the cost of commodities in the market is alarming bad yet the majorities who are representative of the minorities (politicians) seem to pay less concerned.
This increament before now was tag to be as a result of Covid 19 which interrupted importation and exportation of good and services.
It is expected that with the decrease in the Covid 19 spread I thought their will be a corresponding decrease in prices of price the reverse is the case.
My question remains is their any hope for price decrement.

The only thing you should be thinking about to make a sense of everything related to price increase and decrease is the status of supply and demand. And as of the moment, demand is high and the supply is low due to the covid-19 pandemic. Trasports are limited and so does the exportation and importation. Even now here where I live, we are still under MECQ(modified enhanced community quarantine) that limits people coming in and out of our city. Parcels are delayed unless they are essential stuff like food, drugs and medical apparatuses/supply. Price decrement will only happen when everyone gets vaccinated with a full proof vaccine in the future. But for now, we are still in a very bad position to expetprice decrement.

216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc down trend are started ? on: June 22, 2021, 04:43:51 PM
We are going to show BTC death cross in few days, so it's a bearish signal for BTC market. If you show the previous BTC detath cross then you have got a beautiful idea. I am expecting BTC starting down trend,
What do you think about it? What is your view point?

If you have been watching the market for a few years already, you will realize that technical analysis is very limited in providing good data that can be use to have a prediction which would be the closest to the actual price direction. Useful yes, but not full proof. Just as how it is right now, despite having similarities to the past death crosses on years 2013 and 2017,  which had a drop percentage of 50%-70%, opposite to what others think, I am very bullish. That is if the support at 29k something remains strong and hold. Still, do your own research and don't believe just any thing that any random guy says without having your own research.

good luck.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are some long term projects for holding? on: June 20, 2021, 11:53:29 AM
I'm new to this whole thing and recently I've realised that too many projects are volatile and not trustworthy.

Any suggestions for tokens that are more trustable and worth holding for 6 months and more? I will do my own research of course.

(not those spam shilling messages please idk how common they are here)

Welcome. There's no guarantee, i think even the birds know this saying by now.
But, i'd advise investing in something more stable and proven.
Some of my picks would be:

DOT
MATIC
ETH
KSM
ZIL
VET
I have all these coins in holding until ETH turned 4000$ weeks back and I instantly let go of them all, now I'm buying back little by little taking the advantage of every dips, all I can say is these coins will go way down very soon and that will be good time to start picking them up one by one

Very good decision. If I may suggest, now is the best time to rebuy those coins mentioned because the bottom is almost if not already in. of course of it breaks 33900 something level support, you should sell immediately. By the way, there are quite a few great altcoins right now that are still on their early stages. I won't drop any names since I don't wanna be accused of shilling but if you try and search IN THIS FORUM, you will see that quite a few that are just starting up have great potential to bring massive returns(long term). Anyway, good luck man.
218  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin Adoption will bring positive change for the people of El Salvador on: June 20, 2021, 11:13:53 AM

Today in El Salvador entrepreneurs, founders, technologists, innovators and more are spending the whole day in El Salvador discussing the way forward in respect to cryptocurrencies adoption in the country. This bold step taken by El Salvador is incredible and commendable and I hope less powerful countries can follow suit and even the scale. This might just be the advantage third world countries need to improve their economy or not. According to JP Morgan and Steve Hanke, Bitcoin can only destroy an economy

https://nairametrics.com/2021/06/16/btc-could-completely-collapse-the-economy-of-el-salvador-steve-hanke/

Though this legalization plan is coming into fruition quite faster than expected, El Salvador and its leaders are actually managing the progress pretty well. I bet that by the time bitcoin becomes fully legalized in that country, there will only be a few minor problems. With these efforts they are showing, we can see how serious they are about this plan. I am excited to see what surprises this decision brings to the world in the next few years to come. Specially now when not even a year has passed but there are already countries that are planning to follow the steps of El Salvador. It is pretty obvious where this is heading. I can already see a lot of influential bastards and leaders regretting their decisions in the future.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real total supply on: June 20, 2021, 10:15:12 AM
This is why most of the people say that bitcoin's big advantage is also its huge disadvantage which is its total lost, hoarded, and circulating supply. But still it works well as a store of value and great investment specially for the people who have been in this industry for a long time along with those that keep on accumulating and holding their bitcoins. Although there can be no certainty that some coins that are missing from the scene are lost forever, the fact still remains; Bitcoin's supply is still a problem.
220  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Australia the New North Korea? on: June 16, 2021, 11:20:17 PM
Reading this through the eyes of someone who doesn't actually live in Australia makes it very scary and a bit credible. But man, calling Australia as a country that is beeing the same as north korea is going a bit too far don't you think? You see, I can tell you that that really isn't the case since my older sister is living right there and has been there for many many years having a good job along with her other half that is currently working on the government. If there were anything wrong they would know first hand because of their jobs and so far, they haven't really said anything bad about how things are in Australia. So I think we should confirm first then wait and see if something big really does happen before jumping into conclusions that may mislead a lot of people.
