Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The used of Bitcoin in Africa
|

Truth be told, in Africa we see bitcoin as an investment rather than as a medium of payment. So, we acquire it and then wait awhile to resell it like a real estate. In Nigeria, I am yet to see any shop accepting Bitcoin for payment. One has to exchange bitcoin first into fiat before any payment for goods and services.
I think almost all countries except those that prohibit bitcoin, using bitcoin like that, it is very rare that bitcoin is used as a means of payment, only as an investment tool

if the financial coming worse and solved by printing with more money, it is a very bad decision because it will worsen the situation. More money will make the value of money decreasing

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will they ever find Satoshi Nakamoto? Make your prediction...
|
on: May 26, 2019, 04:46:28 AM

Lately there are many people obsessed with finding Satoshi Nakamoto again and the research that they are doing is getting very detailed in comparison with the research that I have seen from previous years. Do you think with the improvement of forensic technology and analysis, that it would be possible to find Satoshi Nakamoto in the future? I am amazed with the research that was done so far and I think we would eventually get very close to Satoshi Nakamoto's real identity. The reason why I say this is based on how DNA technology helped to solve many crimes, after it was developed and used in 1986. Lately they even found Serial murderers based on their genetic link to family members who had their DNA logged on some medical database. So please make your prediction and decide if you think that there are a good chance that Satoshi's real identity might be discovered in the future? Let's discuss. I think it will be very difficult to find out who is Satoshi Nakamoto, even though it was still possible to find it. DNA technology can't make it easier to find who is Satoshi because it can be Satoshi Nakamoto is only a name for 2 people or groups, not individuals

I think Facebook has been thinking about the security of the privacy of the account that we have even though we actually feel spied on by Facebook, but we also have to remain vigilant by not posting things that are very private

Those extortion emails were common several months ago. They included usernames and passwords (that they got from hacked web sites), so they seemed very convincing.
These scammers didn't provide any info to back up their claims, so it's probably just some script kiddies that are just spamming email lists. I would ignore it. Its not worth any more of your time.
I think this case is not just on e-mail, but a lot of it also happens to some social media and even messages or telephone calls

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best IEOs and IEO bounties
|

Among the popular IEO, Harmony is one. They have been running a bounty program even before the binance partnership and with it getting the lauchpad of binance, the attraction towards it's bounty has highly increased. Though I believe token bounties are a better earning, I prefer quick cash for my work.
I think trading has faster and more results, even though it has a greater risk than bounties, but if the project has good progress, I'm sure there will be many participants in the bounties who will make the reward which received by each participant will be very small

Economy / Economics / Re: Dont believe on sale
|
on: May 24, 2019, 12:41:05 AM

Sales are everywhere. Sale on shoes, bags, shirts, gadgets and everything. Malls and shops use this technique to attract buyers, but you know what? Do you think you've been discounted a higher price than ordinary? No. Instead of saving 20%, you spend 80% on things you dont really need. This is not economical and most of us are easily lured to it. This is what i hate about people. When there's useless trending items on sale, they buy immediately even on credit cards but if bitcoin drops, they talk negative about it. Normal mindset wants to get temporary attention. Not permanent comfort.
I think the discount that is on the sales system is just a formality to attract consumers, it is only a trick for the seller to make a profit on items that may not sell well

Can hardware wallets like Ledger Nano be hacked and their coins stolen?
all systems still have loopholes to be hacked including hardware wallets, but hardware wallets have a smaller hacking potential than wallet software

Bitcoin is not money.
It is more an artwork with 21,000,000 limited editions. And each limited edition contains 100,000,000 limited pieces. (satoshis)
but in my opinion bitcoin can also be said as money because it has some feature that money has such as can be used as payment tools and has value
