921  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: June 22, 2023, 03:40:06 AM
The cost of living shouldn't kill the living please. The living should find a way to rise above the cost of living. The living should grow their own vegetables and rear theor own animals if need be. The living should find a smart way to reduce their cost. With reality now, the living shouldn't be competing for the latest car, clothes, electronic gadget. The living shouldn't take out a loan at this time. Bitcoin freedom for the living.
The cost of living shouldn't kill the living - wow' that's very easy for you to say depending on your disposition and socioeconomic privilege's. If you're privileged to have access to land to grow veges, rear animals etc, not so many out there are open to such opportunity and that's sad for such people. So at times we shouldn't express alternatives based on our own perspective we should try to think outside our convenience. Maybe then, we can really give an objective suggestions.

Exactly, it just shows how different people's perspectives on this issue and it shows the privileges people respond Smiley .  If you already have the materials needed for you to have a proper living and even save your budget, if they don't have the privileges like connections, power, and wealth, then they could just simply live without killing themselves. Opportunities for these people are limited but of course, they find ways to escape this hell where they live every day feels like surviving. I just think that if they don't have the opportunity then their life could change if someone could give them the opportunity they need. When it comes to this it would be better to take both places before suggesting.
922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is next for Bitcoin? Seems like the only winners are early adopters unless on: June 22, 2023, 03:28:33 AM
You have millions to buy ? I so missed out on this when it was $110 a coin but I was young and no money. So now that blackrock made some noise in the Bitcoin space and got everyone rallied up will this be the biggest money grab in history to then crash it on the recession?
I'm glad you noticed that even a bit late, oh no you don't late, you still have time to buy even have a little money now. The Blackrock is just one euphoria of this era. I know that the company has secretly bought bitcoins since several years ago, but they don't tell us because they don't us to know they bought a lot of to avoid the price grow up significantly. Now, The Blackrock just bought a few, and seems to have finished it until the price back to ATH.

The company has a strategy that can't have been predicted. But, we have the point key we should know is just buy the dip, DCA and hold, it then we can be won outperformed than the big company.

There's no late comers when it comes to Bitcoin, you could always hop in to the market with proper knowledge and wise decisions for you to profit. As you guys mentioned like the Blackrock, there's always a new trend in years so there would be an opportunity for everyone to witness and experienced the bullish market where people could ride in. And I agree that you don't have to overthink about this company, just buy low, sell high to everyone and you could do better than those companies. But for sure there's no late comers but take your time to study the Bitcoin or else you would rush on these things which makes your life more complicated.
923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Birthday Gift - Bitcoin on: June 20, 2023, 03:36:41 PM
I remember when I profit huge from NFT trends before and I've been trying p2p games and tell her that she could actually earn by just playing those, so she asked questions even the basic knowledge about crypto I teach her so she would understand every unfamiliar terms in it.

After she studied I gifted her an account since before you could even play the game you'll need to invest. It depends on how high you invested for you to get easily ROI. And now she's having fun on this crypto currency now I think she's better than me since she explored crypto not only the games.
924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: June 20, 2023, 03:06:39 PM
Bitcoin is not for everyone, but we cannot over-emphasis its benefit. For awareness' sake, it is good to talk about it but not enforced it. Am not sure that Bitcoin's popularity is enough as we speak also your growth in Bitcoin should convince and want to make people invest willingly.
I want to believe that the forum that enforce people to join Biotcion has seen all the benefits but the approach shouldn't have been to force but enlighten them. It is important that you talk about it AND afterward encourage them to do their research.

That's a good explanation, but mostly of the people who's playing safe for their sake since they've introduced Bitcoin to others so if something might happened like losing funds they might get blamed which is not literally his/her fault. That's why they introduced it by giving them the basic knowledge of the Bitcoin's pros and cons since it's volatile and have a risk involved.

And I'm with you, since this forum literally named as "bitcointalk" so it would side to the Bitcoin like their benefits to hook more people to join in this industry. Still it's true that there's a lot of opportunity in this industry if you only have the proper knowledge and skills, and if you've already build up your mental and decisional making since you need to think carefully for every decisions you make.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: June 19, 2023, 06:01:45 PM
But doesnt mean that you shouldnt pursue on getting a degree, it would really be still that sensible on getting one because having a degree or certificate or whatsover that it is really that correlated to this would really be that necessary or something that would really be that needed for you to at least having the chance or potential on getting some work or job and also when it comes to awareness of things or learnings then you would really be having that kind of advantage which is something that you would really be having compared to those who didnt touch up a school or having the education.
|snip|
I don't say that people shouldn't study, if you are a person who wants to become a doctor because your are passionate about that, then you should definitely become a doctor but if you find it hard to become top in uni in your niche and you are bad at communication, networking, etc and you only study with the hope that you'll get a high-paying job with your degree, then you'll fail.
It's very true that most electricians and plumbers earn much more than most people with bachelor and masters degree. So many people with degrees aren't necessary today, we need skilled people in trades job.

This is actually the reality, if you're still studying and have a mindset that if you have a degree you would get a high paying job which is ain't true. If you lack the communication skills and having connections then for sure you would be stuck at being unemployed. Just imagine this you're not only the one that are good and talented that attained degree, so you need to build up your social ability to survive the working industry.

Knowledge itself won't do good if you don't have the strategy and hard work to pursue those dreams. I still believe skills is better than knowledge because they are most likely to survive in this industry.
926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What your opinion? on: June 19, 2023, 03:20:20 PM
trading is not an investment but a little kind of it tho, because your time spent on trying to make money trading is you investing your whole mindset over it. investment doesn't have to do with much of your time, just your research is ok, in the side of trading u have to analyse the market for you not to trade in the opposite direction of the market if not you are doomed. trading has a lot hommie if you can face it then you can go for it.
It is an investment if you think of it to be. Some people consider gambling as an investment too and I would not go and say that they are wrong. It only depends on how you manage the risk and the profits.

You can be learning how to trade and practice it on paper, then step on the real market and invest your available bitcoin or fiat for something else. How long or short you go, all will define your trading nature.

Many members of this forum accumulate bitcoin for long term holding. In terms of trading they have one or multiple buy orders executed - how they recover that capital is how the investment is going to be.

It could be consider as investment as you risk your money in a short period of time but trading have a high risk involved unlike to investment. And I consider trading as a short term where it happens too fast wether you lose or profit money depends on your decisions. That's why you need patience in here, it would be a good thing if you already have experienced in one of the two so you could already manage the decision making you would do.

And I agree that you could start practicing by the book and execute it starting from a small amount so you could gather experience and build strategies for you to be able to master trading.
927  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Meron Na Bang Naka Apply Dito At Is It Worth It on: June 18, 2023, 04:57:38 PM

928  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa na namang Bitcoin negative publicity on: June 18, 2023, 04:28:06 PM
Kung may nanonood dito ng Euphoria series yung part na inintroduced yung Bitcoin kasi yung character na si Kat Hernandez pumasok siya sa adult industry and gusto niya makareceive ng cash without revealing her identity. Kaya nag suggest customer niya na mag Bitcoin which is wala siyang idea and tinuro sa kanya na may alam is yung mga dealer talaga and may mga baril which is I think considered as negative publicity.

Pero siguro after banggitin yun sa international show madaming mahohook and research about Bitcoin which is a good thing na maenganyo yung mga tao sa Bitcoin.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: June 18, 2023, 03:55:26 PM
Bruh I gambling with arcade where you use tokens which you can sell to fiat money if you could earn huge by winning big awards. Whenever I play alone it's like I am peacefully playing and I enjoy it which gives me the comfort and have a good decision making, since you also need to know when to shoot or cash out so you could profit a lot. But since I am playing in arcade public, there's a lot of spectators who comments a lot like they are commanding me what should I do, it distracts me and lose focus since there's too many words around me. It reaches to the point they tap me just to tell their opinion since they saw me with my tokens and trying to be friend and commands a lot just frustrating. Results to I lose my focus and my tokens going home with empty hand Smiley
930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interested in investing in Bitcoin my childhood friend after losing business on: June 18, 2023, 02:19:24 PM
It's actually good to find some opportunities and explore more other investment than business, since if it's not for you despite you have the money and knowledge but if you think it really doesn't suit you to run a business then it's better to stop and find another investment. From your post OP, you could give them the basic knowledge about Bitcoin like it's volatility. You really need to mention the risk involved since some people only aims for the good side and forgetting that in investment there's a risk of losing assets. You could tell him "do your own research" then it's up to him alread, it's hard to get rely on and blamed for losing other's funds which is fro mmy experienced.
931  Economy / Economics / Re: I don't believe you on: June 18, 2023, 11:05:54 AM
You would only feel this if you have doubts to the bank or exchanges itself. Because in the first place why would you put your assets if you don't feel safe right? Of course we choose the most used bank where they have a good background and already operating in decades which is actually amusing since every year there's a new open bank and still they could keep up. Same with the exchanges, we put our assets in some trustful exchanges where we could ensure it wouldn't crash based on their performance in a long run. But still it's a good question for people in this thread to answer.
932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 18, 2023, 12:20:35 AM
No, even without money, knowledge is not a waste. Knowledge is a significant tool that may be used to improve one's skills, make better decisions, and cultivate critical thinking abilities. Knowledge is important in many aspects of life, such as personal development, job advancement, and social engagement.

Yes, with knowledge it will influence people's mindset to be more practical have a great decision making since they are aware of what's happening to economy. But one thing for sure, if knowledge doesn't have a consistency and hard work then for sure it can be consider a waste. Knowledge itself won't do if you don't act for yourself, you already have the advantage you only have to do is execute it perpectly with a great plan. Because I still believe hard work would still be better if the knowledgeable person is lazy.
933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 17, 2023, 08:26:02 AM
Having knowledge is not just simply about the Bitcoin or any other crypto currency you can buy, there's a wide information or knowledge for you to study which involved money. It's not only about having the money for you to invest, of course you need to find ways for you to earn money for investing, if you really want to invest since you already have the knowledge, you might take some part time job, online jobs and etc. Since in my experience I tried doing online jobs so I could try to enter in this industry. If you think you can't really afford to invest in Bitcoin why not in just a simple business? There's a lot of knowledge for your money to grow without involving in crypto industry. Knowledge is powerful if only you add the hard work and consistency because without action it would just stay as a thought.
934  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: June 17, 2023, 08:18:40 AM
But for the people who prefer to sell their assets to repay the loans, they won't get addicted to the loans/debt because they know that the loans don't give advantage for them. It just becomes a burden and potentially spends all of their wealth. So, they only take a loan if it is in a very very urgent situation.

Everybody should think about taking out loans like that, borrowing money doesn't make us richer, it only makes our liabilities grow. There are some situations where taking out loans are necessary, for example if we need short term money for medical reasons or for urgent repairs at our house or apartment. These are all necessary things and if we don't have any other form of funding then taking out a loan is the last resort. We need to be focused on how long repayment is going to be and how much money we have to pay each month. With that in mind it should be a negative experience and we shouldn't become addicted to it. Addictions usually come through positive emotional responses we get from experiences, which is not going to be the case with a loan that we have to repay for the next 5-10 years.

Some people take their loans to investment which is risky since there would be always a risk involved when you invest your assets especially when you invest the money that you can't afford to lose. And I'm with you, taking loans for emergency purposes could be a good decision as long as you know what would be the impact of taking a long to your everyday needs since you have bills to pay. It would be just a burden to people if the loans payment would be years despite the long payment and small since interest would be always applied to it. Before taking a loan check if you could repay it in just a short time and wouldn't affect your living.
935  Economy / Economics / Re: Landed properties is the best investment on: June 16, 2023, 04:47:04 PM
Yes landed property is a good investment no doubt but when you compare its return on investment rate with Bitcoin over time, Investment into Bitcoin will outperform the Landed property, let's for instance you put $20k into Bitcoin and also use $20k to Buy a land and keep both for the period of 5 Years,

Base on Bitcoin's historical data, the $20k you put in BTC has the tendey of doing 2x, 3x or even 4x in the price because BTC would have gone into its halving phase which reduces its inflation rate and cut its supply which would make BTC become more scare and increase its demand, and another point here is buyers are readily available to buy your BTC.

While for landed property selling that land at the price of 2x or 3x after 5 years has less probability to happen and too buyers are not readily available because their must be some price negotiations before selling the land.

You have a point, but Bitcoin are still unpredictable and involved risk for sure in those 5 years there's a lot of changes in the market that might causes you to lose money. Hodling is safe but it would take time for you gain profits.

In real estate, you could just simply rent the houses for you to have a passive income and land properties also increases their prices in a long period of time. Houses here before ranged into 700k in pesos but now it ranges around 1.5M to 2M. If you're gonna invest a huge money why not try both? I mean there's a saying to not put all eggs in one basket. Just do your own research where it suits your investment strategies.
936  Economy / Economics / Re: Rent or buy real estate - let's have a debate on: June 16, 2023, 03:25:20 PM
My thought about this is renting would be better if only you're planning to live in that house in just few years. Because renting might look cost you a lot of money but you won't have to think about the taxes and taking care of the papers of the houses only the rent, electricity and water this is based from my country. But if you're planning to live in that house for decades and planning to give the house to your future child then it would be a good choice despite the taxes. But personally I would invest in real estate and let people rent it and those rent would be the payment for the house. Passive income is the best but still you have to take care of the papers and problems from the house.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is legalized, a dream of mine would come true on: June 16, 2023, 03:04:21 PM
As a Bangladeshi I have a dream cherished inside my heart, but in reality it is not possible to realize my dream. My house is located near a popular bridge in Bangladesh and on both sides of the bridge there are parks and sightseeing spots for travelers. My father has organized a food hotel next to that sightseeing spot. I sometimes spend some time in that hotel between studies.

From your post op, seems like you and your father have a good business running with a tourist spot. Running a business is actually hard but if its involved money it would be a great advantage for you to enter in this industry in crypto as you know how to handle money or assets already. I haven't been to Bangladesh but I would love to try some dishes there.

Quote
I've been nursing a dream for as long as I've been on Bitcoin forums. If Bitcoin was legalized in Bangladesh, I would take a payment system through Bitcoin with a pizza restaurant.
But my dreams will remain dreams because Bitcoin will never be legalized by the government in my country.

It's good to have a goal or dream so you would have a path to take, actually nursing takes years for your studies before you graduate which can be apply to Bitcoin. Bitcoin also takes years to understand, you might get the basic knowledge in just days but to fully understand it, you need to take your time to understand all the complicated information in the Bitcoin. It would be a huge advantage for you once you've graduated and have some income for you to invest in Bitcoin especially when in your country it become legalized. It would take time for some country to legalized Bitcoin since it would be a big adjustment for them to open a system they couldn't control since it's decentralized.
938  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: June 15, 2023, 06:09:12 PM
Social media functions that were originally designed to share information or activities have now turned into marketplaces, we can get almost all products or services on social media, even many sex services are also available on social media, of course this is a challenge for developers to be able to present better social media.
You know social media has reached a whole new level when you can order a pizza, book a vacation, and, uh, explore "adult-oriented" services all in one place. It's like a digital shopping mall for every aspect of life! I wonder what's next? Social media haircuts and dentist appointments? But hey, kudos to the developers who are constantly pushing the boundaries to make our social media experience, uh, interesting to say the least.

You forgot to mention one of the most famous thing in the internet which is the influencers, vloggers and streamers. From the time of pandemic due to we need to stay at home, many people tried to enter to this industry of entertainment thru social media where they could use some advertising or collaboration depends to their popularity and followers.

In my country most kids adapt the popular thing in the internet like the trending toy "lato-lato" where people in the business took advantage from it they made contents, products or even to the news which gives them a lot of money.
939  Economy / Economics / Re: Keeping money and keeping bitcoins? are they similar? on: June 15, 2023, 05:29:13 PM
If you don't really feel secure about this investment, then you should spend a little money to give it a try. While it is true that doing nothing can mean missing out on potential growth opportunities, these risks are not necessarily bad, as greater risks often come with greater returns. So understanding market dynamics and having a clear investment strategy will help us have a more intuitive view. This further reduces the risk ratio. In short, while taking calculated risks can be beneficial, remember that we can still reduce the odds with the plans you already have in place.

Exactly, you could start by a small amount for the experience so you could understand what people are trying to say. Investing in a volatile nature Bitcoin of course there's a risk involved, but if you could understand that you can take advantage with those volatility then you might earn a lot than saving. Just gather more experience and study some knowledge about it such as strategies and techniques it could lessen the risk as you know what you're doing with your assets. Do it on your own phase since people if they see other people putting such a huge amount they might do it as well which is not a good idea. Invest the money you afford to lose always.
940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Received Email from Localbitcoins on: June 15, 2023, 05:10:01 PM
It's still a good thing to do for the system give notice to it's users incase they might forgotten and left some funds. Since some people are hodling some assets in a long term due to being inactive they might not be aware from shutting down of the localbitcoin. For sure those email were sent to you for a long time already because it would be inconvenient to give a rush notice to the users. Still would be better to double check your account and get all the balance that's left.
