1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis mining is a scam and will no longer pay out coins DOGE STILL PENDING on: May 07, 2017, 07:13:09 PM
I'm been a member of this  cloud mining site too. But I didn't encounter any problems that you had now. Honestly writing, There are still paying I always recieve my payment every 1-2 weeks.
I never had an issue with the auto payout system.  Its getting them to release coins stuck as pending in their payment system that is the problem.  I understand things taking time but we are coming up on 3 months...

Any idea when this will go live?

Would you care to tell us what issue you had in first place, i.e. why
you contacted them? You are a random newbie and it might be that
you are wrong and after explaining once, GM sees no point in repeating
their answer. No offence, but we don't know you.

I especially love how everybody jumps on the train, without knowing any
detail about the issue at all. This really sucks. First you should gather all
or at least some information before accusing someone of scamming. It's like
a reflex with you guys.

I experienced two issues (payout tx didnt get through), and two times they
replied in a friendly manner, within 24hrs and solved the problem.
No offense taken, I get what you are saying.  I had some coins go into pending status because I didn't have a payout address provided.  They recognize that they owe me the coins but haven't done anything to fix it in over 2 months.  Now they just don't respond to me.  I should just screenshot the ticket that's been open with them all this time.

ColonelClink has been hard at work getting a mining pool setup.  This is our official dev support pool and has the standard 1% donation rate.  It uses NOMP and has a clean, easy to use interface.  Check it out at http://pool.projectwyvern.com/

General info for your miner

Username: your wyvern wallet address
Password: anything
Algorithm: nist5
URL (difficulty 8 ) :stratum+tcp://pool.projectwyvern.com:3008
URL (difficulty vardiff):stratum+tcp://pool.projectwyvern.com:3032
URL (difficulty 256):stratum+tcp://pool.projectwyvern.com:3256

All funds received off this pool will directly support the coins development; also we need to test the pool and need sufficient hashrate to verify things are running smoothly.

I'll connect my cloud miners to it.

OP, going with Genesis Mining was the first mistake you did. Net s filled with threads and reviews of this service being total shit and yet you go and invest there.

What would you want us to do now?

So you telling them you ll spread the word online wont hurt them much. Sorry for your trouble, better luck next time.

I entered into a contract with them when I first got into cryptocurrency a couple of years ago.  Bad choice obviously but there is nothing I can do now except try to recover what I lost.

I am setting up a cloud miner for wyvern on google cloud vms.  I managed to get approved to used 8x nvidia tesla k80 gpu's.  I'll let you know how it goes, probably very inefficient lol.

I don't think you are going to get much out of the k80's.  Cards like that are not well suited to mining.

After trying out multiple miners, I couldn't get more than 11MH per card, so max theoretical peak of 88MH for the whole rig.  Incredible waste of energy.  But on the flipside I'm mostly using amazon compute free credits so i'm only out 35 bucks for the experiment and should still make a slight profit.  I think the k80's are pre-maxwell architecture, kind of a bummer.

Cloud miner on google vms using amazon compute free credits 0.o

Tech me your ways!
First I registered for their free trial, which is for 1 year and give you $300 free credit to use mostly unrestricted.  You cannot use gpu's however.  So essentially I contacted them about using the gpu's and requested 8 of them for a "project".  They were happy to oblige provided I made a payment of $35 to my account.  That just went on top of the $300 credit.  So now I'm just using it all to mine for a few days until the credit runs out.  It's not practical and you will lose lots and lots of money on it if you continue doing this beyond your free credits (and the 35 deposited) but if you want to check it out go to https://cloud.google.com/

They aren't responding to me now.  I'll keep pestering them until the day they shutdown.  At this point their credibility is very low in my eyes.  I'll never do business with them again and have threatened to spread this thread all over the internet to their potential future customers.  Guess they don't care.  Seriously Genesis Mining, if you care about your credibility, come clear your name and respond to this issue on the forum.  It's not going away and is only going to get worse for you.  (I link them to this thread in the daily email I send them begging for my coins)

I never had a problem with their auto payouts either, but if any of it goes into pending status and you don't have an active contract with them, God help you in getting it back.  They owe me about 75usd worth of doge and its been nearly 2 months trying to get it.  Getting the BTC and DASH they owed me took about a month of being given the run around of why they can't just hit the send button to my payment address...
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis mining is a scam and will no longer pay out coins DOGE STILL PENDING on: April 25, 2017, 03:16:21 PM
so here is where we are:

Hi 6nrfmartin,

We understand that you have just recently added your DOGE wallet to your profile. The system needs up to 48 hours to execute the first payment, which will include all the accumulated DOGE payouts you have received so far. This is 142625.4818535  DOGE

11.01.2017     DOGE     0.00000000   Payment address is empty. DOGE x11 amount of 115.75384615 added to balance. Total Balance is: 142625.4818535
10.01.2017     DOGE     0.00000000   Payment address is empty. DOGE x11 amount of 114.4 added to balance. Total Balance is: 142509.72800735
09.01.2017     DOGE     0.00000000   Payment address is empty. DOGE x11 amount of 148.6 added to balance. Total Balance is: 142395.32800735

Let us know if for any reason this is not happening, but it seems every normal and correct in our side.

Thanks for your patience.

Best regards,
Jordi

So now they have about 9 hours to pay out and then we are past the 48 hour mark.  (I don't expect it to happen)  This has been miserable.  If they don't pay is there a scam subforum this can be added to?

Value seems to be moving up quite nicely now.
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis mining is a scam and will no longer pay out coins DOGE STILL PENDING on: April 24, 2017, 06:26:25 PM
Still haven't been paid the approximately 140,000 DOGE I am owed, so they aren't fully in the clear with me yet. Bumping this thread and reminding them.
I'm thinking that they're just monitoring this forum so that anyone who posts about them being a scam gets their money.  Genesis Mining are a pretty evil company even if they don't directly scam their users.

Did you really get ROI though?  Most of the posts I've seen about Genesis Mining (especially on Scam Accusations) are just saying that it's impossible to ROI with them any more, so they're just legitimately stealing your money and then keeping the machines after two years.

I didn't get ROI but thankfully the damage wasn't too bad due to rising coin values.  I'd say I lost about 30% overall.

An amazing thing just happened.  After I sent genesis mining an email about this post, my btc and dash payments were sent.  Doge is still unaccounted for but I sent it to poloniex so it may be pending.

I still have not received my DOGE payout after well over a month
Shortly after posting this I sent an email to genesis mining linking them to the post.  Shortly after that payments were sent to my addresses.  Yes it was still a poor experience but they have redeemed themselves somewhat in my eyes.  Don't be afraid to play hard to get what you are owed guys

Hey guys, I have to put this out in hopes that genesis mining will fear public backlash (unlikely but worth a shot.)  I invested a few years ago in genesis mining for a little under 800USD and got a large bitcoin mining contract and a small altcoin contract.  Many of my payouts went into pending if they didn't have an address to go to.  After adding a payment address those payouts remained in pending for around a year and a half.  They still have not been released.  Now that my contracts are either over/terminated due to being unprofitable, there is still a large amount they owe me (around 400USD worth.)  I started contacting them 3 weeks ago and through a series of emails they have avoided answering my questions directly and now just aren't answering me at all.  I first contacted them about it march 13th 2017.  These are the responses I received each time I asked them about the pending payments:

Hi 6nrfmartin,

I will forward your inquiry to our IT Team, they will contact you as soon as possible.

Thank you for understanding!

Hi 6nrfmartin,

Hi 6nrfmartin,

Unfortunately, our system works in the manner that if you have active contracts on particular algo, the coins will be picked up by the payout engine. We can suggest to kindly be patient and wait for those coins to be released manually, but if you are interested, you can upgrade your hashpwoer - currently with Genesis Mining currently you can mine:

- SHA256: BTC, UNO and ZET
0.2 TH/s: 30 $ to 200 TH/s: 26.000 $

- X11: DASH and START
5 MH/s: 30 $ to 1000 MH/s: 4.500 $

- LTC: LTC and DOGE
2 MH/s: 28 $ to 5000 MH/s: 60.000 $

- ETH: 1 MH/s: 30 $ to 500 MH/s: 14.000 $

We hope this helps.

Best regards,
Marti

Hi 6nrfmartin,

If you go to PAYOUTS section of your account, you will find pending DOGE coins, while there was no DOGE wallet in time when payouts were released (January 2017.) You can check your balanced coins under "Payouts" section on your account, and also, clicking on the "i" icon will give you additional data.

Have no worry, we will send your mined coins to your DOGE wallet manually.

Thank you for patience!

Hi Martin,

I am sorry it is taking a few days longer than we expected but some issues go deep in the system and our IT guys are working on it which prevents them from any activity here. Don't worry, you will get your coins for sure, we always make sure our customers are satisfied but when doing a business with as many customers as we do issues occur and it has nothing to do with the mining but it takes a little bit of time to fix it.

Once again I am sorry for the delay and I thank you for understanding and patience. Smiley

Best regards,
Kris

Suffice to say I have not received any of my coins.  No doge, dash, or btc.
Here are pics of what they owe (for some reason the doge isn't showing up in pending but whatever.)  http://imgur.com/LrcRyBq   http://imgur.com/XQVkgUx
I received that last email on april 1st and have not heard from them since.  So, you have been warned.  Do not deal with Genesis mining.  They are crooks and will rob you.

coinexchange.io has a really low trade volume.  I don't think it is used very much.  We need to look into other exchanges.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin question on: March 15, 2017, 02:54:48 AM
Most peoples don't care with the code which use to an altcoin or gpu, Asics , or anythings about the technical or technology behind that coin. Peoples just need to see a new born Developer making altcoins with an obvious goals. Let's back to the first question, cryptocurrencies is created for what? If you have different answer other than "to make easy internet payment", well you decent to create one.
That's not because you have a newbie account, it's all about your future plan. I beleive you have a great plan that give you courage to make this thread. If you sure to make this one success, make sure it's different.

This coin isn't meant to be a success lol.
