So, downhill from here I guess? i think the market is smart enough to realize things will get worse b4 it they get better... but they will get better. because cavitrex is based in canada, for me sending money to the exchange is free, and as easy as paying my electric bill online. the same can be true for a USD based exchange... not sure what's taking so long?? coinlab stop jerking off and do something! I'm talking short-term of course. It's only up from here long-term, but after the drop to $124 yesterday, any bad news has the potential to drop it lower. |

Oh how did it all go wrong. The bad news Bear keeps checking the forum. "What?!" he yelled, "Bitcoin is up?". Why? How? Who? This wasn't how it was suppose to go. Sub $100 they said. $50 coins they said. We had charts. We had FUCKING CHARTS!
Mom's bitching at me to get off the Xbox and go outside. What the fuck does she know. I used to own Bitcoins. Mom never said shit to me when I had Bitcoins. Now I'm locked out, a rally comes, fancy GIFs of rocket ships, trains, even hot chicks. A sad Bear with a pocketful of fiat, what does he post? He's not invited to this party. One day he thinks, one day they'll wish they were me. Their precious Bitcoins will be worthless and I'll be rolling around my bed covered in $5 bills. Just wait he thought. Just wait.

The obvious question now: what are LR users going to transact with instead? And how many people had money sitting on LR. Seems like a fairly big deal. Without Dwolla, I'd imagine LR was a fairly big chunk of Gox deposits. Surprised no one is talking about this, they were down all day Friday. Maybe not that many people used LR. Wow this is HUGE big shitz, LR is a gigantic washing machine with millions transiting, many exchange business that deals with LR also do bitcoin, like Aurumxchange. Expect big Losses due to this shutdown for whole digital currency community. Well BTC is Monopoly now , heck i'm turning ubber bull, i'm holding btc for long, to hell with short term trading. What do you mean, "BTC is Monopoly now"? Bitcoin is anything but a monopoly. I don't get it. Sounds to me like he was referring to the boardgame 'Monopoly'.  |

$250 by June $500 by July $1000 by December Just throwing out my prediction for the fun of it. Sorry, no graph or anything exciting like most speculators seem to do. I did put up a fortune cookie a week ago though that said, "A financial investment will yields beyond your wildest hopes." That was proof to buy I think.  My wildest hopes are for BTC to be $1,000,000. Who knows, maybe by 2020?  I could see that only because the value of the dollar could easily crash in the next ten years(meaning bitcoin didn't get more valuable, the dollar is just worthless). However, even if the dollar were saved(which is equally possible), I have no doubt that we will reach 10k per bitcoin in the next decade, if not more. That's probably why I just went all in. XD |

Considering he's comparing Bitcoin to Frequent Flyer miles and Amazon Coins, I don't think he knows what he's talking about.
However, I will admit that a better cryptocurrency could come out, but the only way it would would replace bitcoin is if it was a massive improvement. Otherwise, Bitcoin will stay on top for no other reason than people know about it and it is a proven concept.

If I cash out, it's only because I think the price will go down and I can get more bitcoin. If bitcoin gets to $10,000-50,000, then it probably has a mass adoption rate and thus is probably accepted in most places, so I would never sell.

I am fascinated by Bitcoin and cyrptocurrency in general. I believe in the concept and think bitcoin has an enormous potential. I can see it drastically increasing in price. However, I do not claim to have a crystal ball norm do I know crap about economics so.... I'm hopeful.

You are a rarity, to admit lack of understanding but hold a passion for the experiment, optimism in its implementation and value, not one to predict its future but hope and envision a prosperous future. You, and others like you over the course of time , will be why it succeeds. Faith is powerful when proof of work and stability are the ground work. Thanks. Sure, you're restricted to the stores Gyft supports, but chances are there would be a Burger King around somewhere if you're starving. This, added to the Bitcoin Conference on the 17th and China getting into Bitcoin, all I can say is I can't wait until next week.

LOL. Do you know the back story for that insanity? I called him a clown before but now it seems much more fitting. Isn't he just showing off all the silver he owns? Do you put silver pots on your head, hang it off your ears, and generally pour silverware all around your body like a lunatic? If I had that much money? I don't think I would care much about public opinion. Hell, I'd make all my silver into a suit of armor and run around town in it. XD |
