1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / how to set a fixed coinbase address on: March 12, 2019, 09:45:23 AM
bitcoincore version: v0.17.1
OS: ubuntu18.04

what I'm doing is testing with bitcoincore regtest mode, I find everytime it mine a block (bitcoin-cli -regtest generate 1), it will generate a new address to receive 50btc reward,
I'm wondering can I reuse the existing address to receive the reward.
I know it's not good to reuse btc address, but for simplicity in local testing, is there anyway to set a fixed coinbase address?
thanks
2  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: why separate execution of unlocking and locking scripts on: January 11, 2019, 03:00:43 AM

3  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / why separate execution of unlocking and locking scripts on: January 10, 2019, 08:03:44 AM
quote:
"In the original bitcoin client, the unlocking and locking scripts were concatenated and executed in sequence. For security reasons, this was changed in 2010, because of a vulnerability that allowed a malformed unlocking script to push data onto the stack and corrupt the locking script. In the current implementation, the scripts are executed separately with the stack transferred between the two executions, as described next."

could anyone kindly give an example or more info about what happened in 2010, try to understand this vulnerability when concatenate and execute unlocking and locking scripts, thanks
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex Lending Offer Bug (Cannot Cancel Offers) on: December 31, 2017, 01:13:51 PM
suffering the same issue now, all were good, suddenly cannot cancel any of my open loan offers, and when I checked the network request, every request got 524 timeout, opened tickets, but the customer service is so funny, they don't read my question, just copy paste some instruction notes of how to lend, ridiculous, I replied but 3 days passed never got any more response

Which exchange platform is most freindly for western ico  investors looking to buy Qtum?

No exchange, it is good right? You see so many proofs against the team, and they have to only host ICO in Chinese exchanges, since most Chinese can't read English, so they don't know Patrick's scandals, and he keeps lying to them. So they have to only fool Chinese, this is next Antshares and will be below ICO price, don't buy!

actually I'm pretty sure you are wrong for one thing, most Chinese can't speak English fluently but we do read English, no one can fool us, I'm not saying I will invest on it, but simply make our own decision and take our own risk
