Where to order anonymously?
You can purchase using wallofcoins.com Make sure that the branch is available in your area. I have had a few problems placing an order and then the branch closed down, also some of the credit unions weren't able to deposit in the account I needed to use. It has been awhile and possibly the kinks have been worked out. Has anyone used wallofcoins lately ? If I remember correctly he got a masternode for providing this service, he made out like a bandit and last I checked the twitter wasnt very active

FIAT gateway will be huge. Imo probably a bigger step than adding other DAAs (even though technically that will be harder to implement).
A lot of regular people flocking to crypto are not technical at all and simply want to be able to do a deposit to buy BLX and not worry about it afterwards.
I really don't understand the issue. Waves has implemented fiat gateways. Why don't they get the DAA's up and running and then add the gateways. Look at the volume of 1broker, they do the same thing, allowing people to follow traders. It is not like this is all ground breaking tech. It has all been done already. ICN holders are way too patient

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More good news for litecoin

One benefit of LTC is the low transaction fees and near universal acceptance. You will notice that many people seeking donations or just transferring value will opt for LTC vs BTC because of the cost. Both are also relatively stable coins meaning that neither will drop a few percent during the transaction

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your view abut Bitshares?

Bitshares has a good team. They never stop developing their platform for mainstream use. I believe decentralized exchanges are the future. You should invest in long term. HODL.
Bitshares is the first DAC as far as I know. The team is working to refine the GUI and there are several available. I am not sure what happened with the Hero campaign but bitshares has proven itself as being able to handle lots of transactions and being transparent. There is only possibilities for this to go up in value with time

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] FunFair - disruptive online gaming & casino platform

It looks amazing, and I like the idea of the destiny channel. The only thing I care about is the dilution of the second ICO round, the founder and consultant's 14 percent. If not, I'll all be there.
*fate channel token count is being reduced (burn) so no dilution there currently wont be a second public ico, the china news has changed things. we knew two weeks prior it was going to happen. 14% is nothing in comparision to other icos and there are a huge amount of development and legal expenses in this as its a real project. Let alone the marketing and strategic partnerships as we target legacy traditional online gaming. Our licensing costs are insignificant, they reltate to further burn of tokens so we arent generating profit by affiliates - this means we arent directly profit from casino operators. There is an incorporated company but there is no equity holding, this allows us to be nimble. Really ? They called off the 2nd ICO ? Last I heard they were only going to reduce the size of it. If this is true this is great news as it was a minor concern of mine. It would only make sense that the Dev would not want to do anything to harm the price and momentum of FUN

Walton has too many wild swings right now and is pretty much only traded on Binance. I don't want to say that it is manipulated but it sure looks that way. Plus it is so new that it really has not found an equilibrium. I am too scared to throw an serious money at it at this point.
As far as an ex Samsung VP goes, it would mean something if he were current, but an Ex VP ? What is that worth ?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think there will be a market for coins used for online tipping?
|
on: September 24, 2017, 02:37:19 PM
|
I ask myself "why is a special token needed for online tipping ?"
This is a functionality that could be implemented easily enough with the currently existing tokens with a major market cap. Why couldn't we tip with BTC ? Because the transaction fees are too high...currently.
Look at the tipping bots that are on slack.. I know that dash had one quite a while back.. If only I knew how to get the money from there that i had been tipped lol, it was only a dollar at the time and it's worth 35 now !

Dash has just had a great rise over the past year. What was the price last year around this time ? 8$ or so. This is just a long term hold and not one that I play. But it has been amazing to watch it over the past few days on an uptick while everything else is dropping. Don't forget that alot of dash are locked up in masternodes

The central topic of this community communiaction seems to be talking about that Verge price will fly to the moon. Many people in here are not really interested in the technical advantages of this coin or suggest new useful features for XVG.
Feel free to leave the community, not to read here, not to write here. Interesting is, that many claim about verge and the forum, but anyway they are here,... and lets guess, ...have a bag full of verge. From my point of view people just address the FUD which seems to grow as verge grows. If there wouldnt be that many FUD, there wouldnt be that many responses to FUD. Don't tell again about to start just a discussion.... there is no discussion required since everything is written on vergecurrency.com. If something there is not clear, formulate a question! If you need help, for example with an verge wallet, you are welcome. THX If there is no FUD there is no interest. Once a coin becomes a "threat" to another, the haters come out. I don't spend time on boards with tokens I think are scams. Well , maybe once or twice lol but I certainly don't make a habit out of it

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem)

I am no technician but I have the impression that the tx/s performance is for the large part based on having less decentralisation in the network. Tier 1 nodes doing a lot of the heavy lifting (let's say, 20 of them) and then Tier 2 being regular folks like us with regular hardware.
ah you're right it is a tiered architecture. Tier 1 nodes are actually gonna be ruling the EOS ecosystem I guess, He also mentioned something about EOS "constitution" so Tier 1 nodes will probably have more voting power as well i.e. for stuff like illegal content storage Speaking of Ethereum I bet they will come up with something similar soon in term of tx/s maybe with the Plasma framework Still the "no gas" concept on EOS might help in terms of quicker mass adoption of Dapps, but yeah I agree the market will decide Vitalik just tweeted For the record: I said ethereum (+plasma et al) *will have Visa-scale tx capacity*, not that it will "replace Visa". Sigh. There is room for multiple blockchains that run smart contracts.

Will you upload an i2p version to some Chinese app stores? Google play has been blocked before, I don't know if it is right now, but it's not popular for sure. I think Baidu has one, there are others that are popular, too. Tor nodes are usually blocked. yes i2p is coming, and the tor android app is available from our github repository, and the i2p android app will be as well. Awesome, already quite a bit ahead of Monero then. Is a hardware wallet in the works ? Shapeshift will be out since they don't operate with Tor, I think Jaxx doesn't either
