501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC Segwit is over 70% on: April 19, 2017, 04:31:05 AM
LTC slightly down right now. When will we see 12-13usd again?

Look at the activation treshold progress and you'll find the answer: probably not too soon. It's going under $10 right now.. but I still believe it will rise one day and it will be unstoppable.

We will see +$15 as soon as Jihan will stop using the miners his customers would have received and Segwit will succeed. Until then... Nobody knows.

he is making miners to replace the miners he is using to stop seg witness we paid for...so 2 months down the line we will get miners..they
won't be the ones we ordered and difficulty will be 2x more then it is now

so hard to see how we are not gonna go to $4 ltc again..with bitmain doing a 'coup de ta' and turning LTC universe into Venezuela Sad

hope I'm wrong but not to damn optimistic...by killing LTC bitmain assures asic boost (33% edge) and ONLY real equip mnfg for scrypt and sha-256
so sacrificing LTC and killing the coin is a small price to pay to get all this ....with a power play to save where their real equip and money is made
bitcoin

LTC is say a rook in chess to sacrifice to win the bitcoin network game .cheakmate.small price to pay..and until it is down to $4 coin they are
taking the majority of the $$ in mining and equip so what the hell

I see NO downside for them on any of this ...ESPECIALLY if what I suspect is true....in that they have screwed all their customers from the largest
distributors (eastshore mining for example) down to the guy who got 1 L3+ to mine that they are keeping

they LIKELY imho will just go FU to all of scrypt miner to the public and just go private with their next generation of chips..like KNC did
so ...not even a way to slap back at them if they frigging just leave town

well played bitmain ...well played

WE need a frigging crypto version of Batman......no law out here in the ASIC wilderness.....

That meme made me laugh searing... also they been accumulating Litecoin from October 2016 - march 2017 before they announced L3+ in my rough calculation they accumulated over 1.2 million litecoins or little less which they sold off in the rally having a lot of investor holding them at current prices.

They converted those Litecoins probably to BTC or Ethereum, or some other Blockchain based stable Alt currency they can manipulate and control next. Even DASH, since they might come out with x11 based asic miner or just straight out buy BAIKAL since they have the money to pay for it.

They can always build more!! LOL

Also on a second calculation doing Litecoin Days destroyed you can see that between Accumulation and Distribution of Net Litecoin significant of 50million coins that have not been touched were traded or transferred to alt assets.

"Litecoin Days Destroyed" from the block chain analysis shows you that some one was a net seller or larger whales were seller while smaller transaction were buyers.

504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm Selling My House to Buy Litecoin on: April 19, 2017, 04:11:17 AM
Oh my god what a big risk. If litecoin price will be up, he will become rich but if litecoin price is going down again, i dont know what will happen to him lol... Maybe he will keep it until litecoin price is raise up again.

Did he ever pull the trigger ? i mean sold his house to buy litecoin?
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: April 19, 2017, 12:31:15 AM
Ouch!

Estimated Next Difficulty:   133,937 (+30.97%)

wouldn't be surprised if difficulty rises from here to 250k in 1 month.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I own an RX480 of 4gb! But Claymore only using 2gb , why? on: April 19, 2017, 12:28:39 AM
I think it will improve a lot

But my gpu is correct?

The reason its using only 2 GB is because thats all it needs to mine ethereum

It comes down to DAG file.

please look it up to understand DAG file size.

Come 2018-early 2019 4GB gpu card won't work because DAG file will be larger.

Are you sure, that ethereum will not switch to pos till 2019?

No Ethereum may switch to POS from POW before that the DAG file size increases over years thats what requires you to go from 2gb card to 4gb and so on.

https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/questions/426/what-is-the-current-dag-size-when-do-we-expect-to-hit-gpu-limits

there was time when i mined ethereum on 1gb card and than 1.5gb and 2.0gb right now 4 gb cards are sufficient but by late 2018 to 2019 it will move past 3.3gb-3.5gb size when 4gb gpu cards won't be able to mine ethereum.

https://github.com/ethereum/wiki/wiki/Ethash-Design-Rationale

they increase by 0.73x per year in file size to keep up with moores law other wise if the DAG files are same and costs of RAM goes down sufficient enough we can have ASICS for Ethereum.

However POS is expected to happen way before 2018 but again anything could happen.

Your card using 2.2gb is okay and the hashing speed your are getting is very normal, so you are okay.

I think we should not be happy about being over 80% just yet. Jihan may just let the prices go as high as possible even to last day and than just take the support away leaving us with hugely pumped litecoin. However I believe that Jihan can do this for so long, we need to improve our hashrates and that will eventually pass Jihans controlled amount which will result with him being out there holding his bags.

Thats pipe dream they know with current ASics Hardware out there plus what they are selling L3+ they have enough spare capacity to make sure 75% isn't hit if they dont' want to.

509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL GROUPBUY 5 - RESERVATION on: April 18, 2017, 11:26:23 PM
Lol usless Cheesy only nubs mine DASH. Made around 0.1BTC with Quad in less than 2 days (x13).
Cool but what coin do u mine or its nicehash ?  Huh
There is no x13 calculator on what to mine.
I have search on google but dont find x13 calculator.

Another way to calculate is as follows:

Find : Network Hash Rate = NHR
Your Hash Rate = YHR
Block Reward Rate = BRR
Block Average Time in min = BAT

so for example if:
NHR = 100 TH/s
YHR = 1TH/s
BRR = 5
BAT = 10

Than you should (1440/BAT)*5 = Total daily coin output.(TDCO)

TDCO x (YHR/NHR) = Your daily coin generation

so for above example it would be.  7.2 coin for you per day. (It does not take in account for TXN fees or pool fees etc)

It goes without saying that make sure to convert Hash/Kilo/Mega/Giga/Tera appropriately.

Goodluck

This also doesn't accout for difficulty and luck.  But yes it should give at least rough estimate how much coins  you make.

And yes i mine some shitcoin which is very profitable and these shitcoins never show up in calculators eitherway.

You dont have to account for difficulty that number is arbitrary its like having another variable.Yes the following calculation should give you rough estimate on expected coin mined per day.

You have to account difficulty. Some have bigger retargetting period in blocks. So it's possible that someone with large hashrate comes in-> drives up diff-> leaves. And you will get 1/20 of coins you calculated.

Nope you don't because your Hash Rate to Network Hash rate will tell you instantly how much coins are you expected to get on that particular day.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cheap PSU experience and question about connections more PSU on: April 18, 2017, 11:10:47 PM
Thanks for suggestions. I got answer from Tacens distributor and they do not suggest use 24/7 so better forget about such idea.

What are the best companies/models PSU for mining?

evga gold

What about:
Super Flower gold or platinum?
Corsair (what model?)
other...?

evga  850 g2  = 4 card rig
evga  1000 g2 = 5 card rig
evga  1300 g2 = 6 card rig

evga   750 p2 = 3 or 4 card rig
evga   850 p2 = 4 card rig
evga  1000 p2 = 5 card rig
evga  1200 p2 = 6 card rig

any of the above are good  key is 200 watts a card and don't push cards to max

Super flower gold and plats  are sometimes exactly an evga

I have had a good corsair  rmxi 1000  4 cards   and an axi 750  3 cards

www.jonnyguru.com

  long lists of good psu's

nice guy  he posts here once in a while.  I respect almost every one of his picks.  the fractal 1000 watt psu was not that good of a pick  every other one he made that I used was a good pick. (more then 20 psu's)

He also mines like we do.

Yep personally recommend EVGA G2 80+ gold from amazon. $139.99
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can't overclock second GPU on: April 18, 2017, 11:07:29 PM
Okay, so I have found that I can only clock the card that has the monitor connected to it.

I have the opposite problem i can only overclock and bios flash the one not connected to monitor.

It is "funny" how we all have different problems. I can flash them both perfectly but the card with the monitor cable in it will only hash 8 mh/s while the other one will do 29 mh/s. If I put the monitor cable in the other gpu the results swap too. When I place my nvidia (1080) in the mobo and put the cable in that one then they all 3 mine full power... It's a frustrating process.

So true LOL i feel like they have mind of there own!! i would have random cards wouldn't boot than i had to do 1+8 pin boot reflash original bios and than flash them again with modded version it gets frustrating @ current point if the rig is mining i tend not to mess around with it to squeeze out free extra hashes not worth the pain when things go wrong my rigs are down sometimes down for few hours at a time.

Bitmain as always know how to screw own customers.

Was looking for L3 but now when Jihan mining with purchased kit to block segwit on ltc and in a minute diff will go through the roof only noobs will buy that L3 and will hope to make any buck back.

I say boycot bitmain and Jihan for this dick move.

I hope customers will ask for refund and will never get back to bitmain.

Shame on you bitmain. USAF will happen and you will feel it.

I agree refer to my previous post I did scream : BOYCOTT!!!

513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 570 on: April 18, 2017, 10:58:09 PM
power consume you can see on video:

570 default 113w 22, mod 27mhs 135wat
580 defatul 135w 24, mod 29mhs 153wat

then winner 570 Tongue 580 require also 8+6 pin connector

570 is gigabyte with Elpida in the vid.
hopefully, some of MSI 570 will be Samsung.
MSI 570 have a 8-pin PCIe connector.
MSI 470 with Samsung memory (later stock) gets 24-24.5 WITHOUT bios mods and overclock.

Yep, my one MSI Rx 470 with Samsung gets 24.6 on stock bios with undervolt... my Hynix ones only get ~21.9-22.4 :p

My Hynix gets 26 Mh/s for RX 470 ASUS i did bios flash. and clock it to 1850Mh/z and 1100 Mh/z
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Finally got my first rig on: April 18, 2017, 10:56:21 PM
Can you minenx11 etc with asic ? Or is it just gpu farms ?

x11 like dash coin is asics only gpu farms are unprofitable for x11

x11,x13,x15,quark etc are all asics now, very rare to be gpu profitable in those coins.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 570 on: April 18, 2017, 06:32:19 PM
They are not dropping price of rx 470 or rx 480 despite rx 570 and 580 coming out.

The only sale i see is with mail in rebate and it limits you to 1 or 2 per household which sucks.

The other thing i see is initially rx 570 was supposed to be priced at $149 for 4GB variant but because of the initial demand from miners and anytime they drop price they are sold out they raised the price of rx 570 to $169

I think that is the fault of the miners. They are too keen.

I agree with you it is miners fault that they are not on sale the other thing is rx 570 and rx 580 has a higher power draw so imho its not the best choice for mining.

Do not buy cheap PSU always go for @least Gold 80+ unless you get free electricity.

It will pay for itself in 1 year.

For example: I had a 1000 watt no name brand not rated PSU that was pulling 750 watts for 4 RX 470 gpu rig. I upgraded to 1000 watt EVGA 80+ gold for $139.99 which is pulling 600 watt for same rig saying me 150 watt i pay around .11 cents for electricity.

so (.150 x 0.11 x 24 hours x 365day) = $144.50 in just 1 year. Plus more stable less heat and less voltage fluctuations.

Again don't cheap out on PSU
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sleeping giant is awakening?? LTC back to $50 now ?? on: April 18, 2017, 05:02:00 PM
I think it will touch $8 ? for support thats where daily support is for LTC

plus tired of market manipulation.. normally when Network Rate Rises and Difficulty rises we see prices going up and not down.

Given it maybe related to Segwit Manipulation and support fluctuating between above and below 75% market is just reacting on impulses.

reading the twitters is like being back in the schoolyard  Roll Eyes

Not sure what posts you are referring to can you posts some links? I totally have no idea on whats going on including bitfinex situation

Check my profile for posts I've made p/o'd with links

Skunked  I am.

Thanks I just did man its a mess I hope LTC can come out of it intact.

Hate the market manipulation.
