581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: April 02, 2017, 05:51:33 PM
can some one please explain to me why XRP is rising and please intelligent replies only.

Read a news report saying Bank Mitsubitshi in Japan agreed to work with Ripple

They made BTC as Legal form of payment, not sure if that law applies to all crypto or just Bitcoin.

I think it's safe to say most of think this is a crazy idea.

You would need to actually keep a spare one of those around.  Otherwise if you have a problem you've got 18 GPUs that aren't mining.  And it's not like you can go to the local computer store and pickup another one. You have to order it.

Not to mention the complexities of getting it all running.  Meanwhile someone only running 4-7 cards per rig already has been up and running mining and making $$$ while you're fiddling with your toy Smiley

No thank you.

I hope you realized i was being sarcastic...lol
584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: April 02, 2017, 05:18:49 PM
Only reason LTC is going up is because Bitmainer and Innosilicon and all the LTC Asics want to sell the new hardware @ $2k per unit tell me if i am wrong.... the hardware makers accumulate and sell bunch of hardware and than wait till the dump comes not today not tomorrow not for a long time but it will come.

FYI: I am one of those suckers who bought 88MH/s (which averages around 68MH/s on Litecoin pool good for 0.4 LTC per day)  A2 innosilicone if any one is interested let me know, PM me and I can sell it to you.

I know not the right post for selling A2 Innosilicone.

you already know this article? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=64450.0

600 USD from his source, or near double - so 1200 USD directly by trentonsystems..... i think the starting invest just for a board is to high. for 100 USD each i get a 5 - 6 GPU supporting Board. so with 500 - 600 USD i will get 25 - 36 GPUS.

Just CPU and RAM you will save a little.

I have Ordered 4 of these: https://mineshop.eu/cables/pcie-adapter-1-to-3-slots-detail

still waiting for testing if they are supported by SMOS. I have already made my Rigs with a 1700 - 2000 Watt PSU system. so it would be great if these extenders would work. Unser Windows they are already running. but still dont know about linux support.

Yes very familiar with that Topic on trenton system.

BTW whats the theoretical limit on how many Gpu can you support for mining with the 1 to 3 pcie adapter i wonder if that would or could work.

Let me now your experience in details.
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question for Mining Rig Construction? 4 RX 470 with old Motherboard. on: April 02, 2017, 07:35:30 AM
This board is not so old according my mining standards.  Wink  One thing You should take into account is that RX4-series GPUs do not boot as primary GPU if the BIOS of the motherboard doesn't support UEFI. No problem if the board has onboard graphics that will be used to boot the system. Of course there is possibility to make mix with cards that can boot non-UEFI board, but expect time consuming problems during mining on mixed rig.
Thank you so much It does have onboard graphics card, i will update BIOS just to be on the safe side.

Hey all,

Shown up to the game super late. Everyone is using ASIC, running at light speed.

I was wondering has anyone that uses a pc, considered VCPU? 1core could safely fit 8 processors. I have an i3 so I'm going to test this out until my unit arrives.

To the pool operator, thanks! I love your pool, and wish more where as transparent and efficient as litecoinpool.

VCPU doesn't change the # of actual cores you have. are you referring to VMs VCPU?

In my experience old mobo's are kind of hit or miss with the 1x PCIe slots using risers.  Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't work, and sometimes they work with a lot of finickiness, so you have to deal with crashes and freezes and things that occur much less often with more modern mobo's.  For me though I have ready access to old PC's so making rigs with old PC's that run a single GPU is easy and cheap for me.  I try and use risers where they cooperate but as I say, it is kind of hit or miss with old boards.

Thank you so much for your insight i appreciate it truly.

I will give it a try with old Mobo, and if it has issues i will order new motherboard.

Depends how old your Mobo is, depend of the FSB (Front Side Bus) speed, what type of RAM max allows etc. If it is a good HP with DDR3 ram support and at least 2nd-3rd generation intel core i processors should be working fine with risers. In fact should be working well even if your processor is a bit older like the Core 2 Quad Q6600 and alikes. Try it with risers first as one costs only 5 USD. If it doesn't work, order at least a 4th generation intel core i motherboard. There are a lot of videos on youtube that shows they work perfectly with risers and one of such video is exactly running with 6 RX 470.

Here is a link to that video running  a good mobo that supports gen 4 processors.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTPlkLOx1Bs

Thank you so much cereberus I forgot to mention its Intel i7 - 860 2.86ghz LGA 1156 with 8gb DDR3 (4x2gb)

Hey Guys I have a noob question i have an old HP PC which has the following mother board.

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02014355

Which has following expansion slots:
One PCI Express x16 slot (for graphics card support)
Three PCI Express x1 slots (for cards such as network, sound, or tv-tuner)
One PCI Express x1 minicard socket

Do you think i will be able to run 4 GPU (RX 470) mining rig >? (I have enough power supply etc. ) I purchased a new PSU full modulare 1000w.

Also i purchased 4 x16 to x1 powered riser card.

Any help will be appreciated. Just would like to know if my mobo should be able to support 4 gpu using the riser cable.

Thank you.

maybe.

 can you link the psu?

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438019&cm_re=evga_power_supply-_-17-438-019-_-Product

Thank you. BTW why would it matter about PSU whether the PCI-E x1 would work with rx 470 or not.

How many hardware errors do you get? What settings do you use? Are you using extranonce subscription?

And yes, you could use a different pool, it can definitely make a difference.

Error rate is arount 0.08%-0.21% consistently. I am not using extraonce subscription how can I enable it? I am using Anx version I don't think it supports extraonce (latest one).

Please pardon my ignorance how can i check for hardware errors?

I have all the setting on default didnot change anything yet, using webinterface just to add pool and worker information and left all the rest of the setting as is.

Please let me know if there is you would like me to try and post.

Hey guys I purchased an A2 terminator 88mh/s on the webinterface using Anx version its says its hashing at 88Mh/s all 6 boards are functioning and reporting 14-15mh/s for total of 87-88mh/s however on the litecoin pool i am getting 65-68mh/s max it fluctuates pretty wildly between 60-68mh/s but averaging 66mh/s over 24hours. Let me know if i should change pool or try something different.

Any advice will be appreciated. I am using Anx latest version.

Time has come guys!

Big profits ahead Smiley

well better then when it hit 8 bucks and i did not dump my 1-2k ltc stash Sad

this time I'm making 17.5 ltc a day yet and you guessed it have 17.25 ltc Smiley

thus holding and starting a new hoard...if LTC has legs to stay above 6 bucks will not be a problem

right now at $7.41 at 10c kwh and 3000 mh .....at 12500 watts I'm making below

24 hours   17.44189453 LTC   129.24 USD   30.00 USD   99.24 USD
7 days   122.09326172 LTC   904.71 USD   210.00 USD   694.71 USD
30 days   523.25683594 LTC   3877.33 USD   900.00 USD   2977.33 USD

That sure as hell beats..the 885 monthly I was making 6-8 weeks ago!!!! (and I was gonna sell the 10 titans for 1 BTC each when it was at like 900 usd per btc)

damn..unicorn herds..you never can tell when they are gonna crypto stamped the price on your prefered coin Smiley

This likely will dump (some) but hell I'll be happy if it stays above $6

damn.....again sure beats that $885 calc back a month or more ago Smiley

You should donate some Lite Coins to Me... get people exposed to LITECOIN .
Let me know and I will PM you my Litecoin Address
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin has potential. Beyond $50? on: March 31, 2017, 04:00:31 AM
Litecoin is getting pumped because new ASICs are coming/selling online. They need to flush the hardware inventory at pretty high price for suckers... so they pump LTC and once all the hardware is sold gravity takes over.

I am sure because of the pump last night a lot of people ordered A4 dominators or other notable LTC hardware.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: March 30, 2017, 08:36:01 AM
It just occurred to me why LTC is going up... the Chinese need to clear out some old inventory of miners "A4 Dominators the L3 Bitmain" If LTC goes up every one will be ordering there ASICs Miners soon.
