0.0061, is this market for fucking real?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 23, 2021, 02:20:56 PM
Blown away we went sub 200.
Also 0.005? Lol.
I guess I was wrong about 700usd this year.

I think it’s such a shame. I thought after this bull we’d be resting on 350-450.

What can you say.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 21, 2021, 09:17:14 PM
I hope no-one allowed themselfs to get shaken outta the trees. Smiley

We needed this.

My stack has never been larger.

I just wonder where this market is going.

This is prime time for XMR. Everything is aligned.

Features, community, applied crypto, etc.

I thought we’d be at 500 by now.

Still it will come. It just might take another couple of years.

This is my view: https://i.imgur.com/aqFXLAW.png

This is just a shakeout.

I still think we will see 700usd this year.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 13, 2021, 05:13:32 PM
Any thoughts on where we go from here?

Still expecting 1000usd +?

I give less than 1% that $1000 Monero will not happen this or next year. Even if next month China and USA ban Monero it will happen since that is only a bit more then double the price from right now. It would have to happen some catastrophic event that is not yet priced in.

So you see a high profile Monero ban as a springboard for the price?

I have not settled on this issue yet...  I could also see the price suffering quite a bit in the case this happens in the short term.

I dont think that should change Monero price much. Biggest holders of Monero already have that priced in. Some people will sell because of ban other people will buy because talk about BAN in media will for the first time present them what Monero is.

I think you're right, but 700usd this year sure is looking good now.

but might be delayed till next cycle with how weak the market looks right now.

260k followers twitter account is saying only way further is vertical. Such vertical breakout would probably push price way over $1000. Wonder how long we will have to wait to see it.

I don't see why 8-12k is out of the question this cycle.  I shouldn't be disappointed if we stall at $2500-4k, but I might be. A bit.  $1000 is going to arrive in a flash, and disappear in the rearview as fast.  Where is johnallen to tell us $700 will be the top  Grin

I love Monero! I’ve held a long time.

I hope it goes to 20k.

Just this cycle I’m expecting around 700-1000.

What’s people’s expectation for this cycle?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 28, 2021, 07:55:21 PM
I’d love to have a view from Aminorex.

We are likely to break USD ATH this year. By how much I don’t have a clue, but I think around 800usd is possible.

BTC ATH, not gonna happen tho. Maybe by 2025
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 08, 2021, 01:09:27 PM
Just running some figures...

I predicted Monero for June 2021 with 0,036BTC
Now say, BTC is at €50k in June (quite conservative calculation) and XMR is at 0,036BTC (quite conservative calculation) that would equal to €1800/XMR
Now if you want to be a XMR millionaire in € you would need to sell 555,555556 XMR to reach €1.000.000 in June  Roll Eyes

In that context, at the current given exchange price for XMR/BTC looks like a heavy bargain  Wink

You still think 0.03X in June? I don’t think that’s even remotely likely. Unfortunately.

Maybe over the next 3 years.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 18, 2020, 08:32:09 AM
We have roughly 2 weeks for levelling out the bottom, so let´s see how it develops  Wink

I know you’re bullish.

But at 0.0068, if BTC goes on a run, how can we ever expect to get back to 0.015-0.02?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 22, 2020, 04:35:09 PM
Both Monero and Bitcoin are destined to go up this and most likely whole next year. Swings down as Monero had last two days will for sure happen but general trend will be up. I dont see any other way. Number of transactions will be by far highest in October, no matter the protocol upgrade bad two days. Emission inflation is at 1.58%. That is just like Gold. Everything under $200 for all year high does not sound nice.

I agree, though I think there are too many weak hands to ever see Monero > 1KUSD.

Though I think we will probably see XMR/BTC at 0.008 with BTC at 50K some day, so say 400usd for XMR.

FWIW I've held from 7usd to 480usd and back.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 20, 2020, 02:13:47 PM
Thanks  Grin
Let's see if that turns out to be a good desicion, but i think i can buy back in at 0,0090-0,0088 levels, so let's have a cup of tea and see what the days bring along  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

You're looking pretty genius-y so far...

Looks like the whole alt sector is doing a pullback wile big daddy rallies.  We are breaking the bullrun trendline.  Probably see a bounce somewhere down there...

I will point out this volume is somewhat anemic though.

It’s really disheartening to see it just fall away.

Maybe I’m wrong and it just won’t recover to ATH.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 20, 2020, 11:43:16 AM
I think we are in the same phase as in February/March 2016 so you should consider selling some of your stock (10-50%) and wait two months, then you should by back at 30-50% plus
When you have done that, fasten your seat belts, then the ride will be quick and dirty   Roll Eyes Grin Grin Grin

(do not take this as an advice, do your own reading and calculations)

Damn it I need glasses for the fine print!  I sold everything, and now there was just a 6000 xmr buy up to 0.018 on Binance  Cheesy

Just kidding.  I never sell.

 Grin Grin Grin
I sold some, let's see  Roll Eyes Wink

So i sold 50% of my stock, let's see what happens until end of november  Roll Eyes Shocked

50%!  Braver than I.  I was waiting for the 0.0105 level, and it came.    Below that, I don't see any clear stopping point until the 80's (and that I just close my eyes and pretend isn't there)
There is still a lot of buying at this level, we will see where it ends.  You usually have it right, so good luck to you.

Thanks  Grin

You’re probably right!

What’s your longer term (2-3yr) outlook?

Personally looking at factors like adoption, tx count, state of the code base and emission curve, I see Monero hitting 800usd ish over next 3 years.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2020, 08:27:37 AM
I bought 2000 XMR at $130, I'll be holding it for the long term. I will re-evaluate 3 years from now and report back to this thread. I'll keep buying the dips and hold at $70, $40, $10, $1, $0.5 if it ever reaches those levels. Just bought another 300 XMR at $102.

I do believe XMR will reach a minimum of $2,300/XMR and possibly even $13,000/XMR if not more 36 months from now.
Unlike other coins, it is the only coin that has practical use and is used widely today, it is #2 in my eyes after BTC (#1).

All other coins are pure speculation at this point in time.

Three years have passed since I made this post. I had sold 50 BTC and bought 2000 XMR at that time and said I will report back in 3 years.
The current price of XMR is $88.85. I took a huge loss, I haven't sold yet but it is a floating loss. If I had kept my BTC and not bought XMR at that time with it, I wouldn't have been -$386,084 today.

I still have high hopes for XMR, will report back to this thread 1 year from today.

It's annoying, sorry about the bad trade -

I think we will see Monero ATH in USD terms at some point, BTC maybe not as likely, but getting back to 0.02 or so seems possible.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 04, 2020, 08:36:22 AM
How's everyone feeling?

What's the sentiment right now... I'm starting to feel bullish again.

Monero, whatever its USD value is deafeningly undervalued in BTC terms.

ATH on transactions is delightful.

Engineering still looks strong, Tari coming along.

Anyone feel we actually might even see ATH again?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 16, 2020, 12:21:50 PM
...or $19 mark so until I see either of those hit I really don't see a point in recommending a buy to anyone who hasn't already been buying it all the way down until this point...

I'm not here to gloat, yet, but . . . hope ya'll're staying healthy and sane Cheesy

I wonder can Monero (or even the crypto markets at large) recover to an ATH from such a desperate drop?

I know we've seen some phoenix like rising from ashes, but even as someone who bought mostly around 7usd, it seems like a gargantuan task to ascend from here.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 18, 2019, 08:52:04 AM
This price action is giving me a headache. I sure could use a little aminorex to ease the pain.

Yeah it’s disgusting.

I haven’t sold any Monero from when I bought around 7usd to the ATH and back to here.

My eyes are open and I see it’s value - economically, from a utility perspective and from an applied cryptography standpoint.

All that said, I don’t think it’s too likely we will see a return to ATH from here, it’s just such a deafening low. At the same time, I’m not fucking selling, id rather keep them as a souvenir.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 16, 2019, 10:17:35 AM
Always lurking, but never failing to keep up on here and the price of Monero.

In crypto winters time does seems to grind on rather slowly.... However, just now it seems there are signs of life.

I remember the Gox drop from 1200usd.

I can’t shake the feeling that this time it’s different.

I think Monero as an idea is powerful, I think technically it’s beautiful.

I don’t think we will see another ATH in fiat or BTC for a long time.

Maybe back into the 100usd region over the next 1 or 2 years
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 04, 2019, 12:21:48 PM
I still think that Monero could go on to create a new ATH in fiat terms, and possibly even in BTC terms.

It may take 3-5 years, but it's still on the cards imo.

I'm holding my XMR for the long term.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 10, 2019, 07:56:46 PM
Any predictions from here?

I can't see us dropping lower than 0.005, that said I didn't ever think we'd get to 0.007.

Chances of BTC ATH in next 2 years: I guess 20%.

Chances of USD ATH in next 2 years: I guess 60%

Any thoughts?

Right now Bitcoin dominance is seemingly unstoppable.  The investment-grade money (it's not really all retail anymore) favours Bitcoin.  Massive hashing power security supporting their need for sleeping soundly, plus ease of purchase / disposal in massive markets that can offer real liquidity.

ATH against Bitcoin? Very small likelihood in the foreseeable future (2-3 years).... 10%?
ATH USD?  Not yet, but after the great alt shakeout we are seeing?  Likely for a good coin with a privacy use case which Bitcoin does not (and may never) have - over 50% chance is reasonable in the next 2 years.

But right now?  Steel balls required; Bitcoin calls the shots.

Dominance heading for 70%, maybe higher.  Shit's gonna hurt for alts until retail FOMO comes in and the alts get some money flowing in that feels it's 'too late' to buy Bitcoin. All SOMA - YMMV, DYOR....

Yup totally agree. 2 year out from ATH in fiat. Maybe no more ATH in BTC terms.
