1  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do we need blockchain technology? on: December 31, 2018, 03:47:39 AM
I believe your concern is right but blockchain is also a new and useful technology in some aspects. The main feature about blockchain technology is about the cryptography, how the technology helps secure the transactions, data, record keeping or security. The technology is not mature yet while it may not be applicable to all the applications or service sectors too. The decentralised network is an alternative way in transactions or other actions other than the centralised.

3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Share of good reports on: November 28, 2018, 03:26:21 AM
Hello guys, I have recognised there a quite a number of sites which are providing weekly market report or analysis which I think it is worthy to read to learn and allowing me to understand more about the market at different angles.

http://www.panews.io/content_news.html?id=927&lang=en
--> It's more like an deeper analysis about some particular issues, why is it happening and what the issue has reflected. I also like to get updated information or things happening in different countries every week.

https://www.standardkepler.com/bch-fork-squeezes-btc-mining-margins/
--> They provide weekly summary, I think that is quite a good and deep analysis at a distinctive angle in doing the analysis. Although it takes a little bit more time for me to understand it, the articles did inspired me.

https://www.entrepreneur.com/topic/cryptocurrency/1
--> the website has provided quite a number of articles and explanation about blockchain usage and cryptocurrencies, I think those are quite clear and good for such a newbie who wants to know more about the technology like me

How do you think about these sites? Or is there any better sites you guys can suggest to me?
(Not sure if that is good if I would like to share my thoughts on some articles or reports in this forum in a regular manner?)

Smiley

I do not encourage people trying out the investment when you are still not so familiar with the market. But if you are okay for any consequence, I still think you can treat your current investment as a trial, since you will be more curious about everything which may happen to affect your investment, pushing you go get to know more about anything. be careful and wish you enjoy the crypto market
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fear of ethereum on: November 22, 2018, 06:00:35 AM
To be honest, ETH is replaceable and the only reason for people to buy it is for investing into ICO. But ICO market is dead and not going to recover. So I couldn't think of a single reason for buying it. While the supply is increasing from the mining activities. I think ETH will stabilized at around 30 in 2019 before the next bull market.

Shit coins like Tron, Qtum, NEO will go to zeor for sure.

May I know what exchanges are offering trading on Futures?
10  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How does blockchain technology on real world service work? on: July 16, 2018, 02:10:42 AM
In my further understanding, I know that blockchain is not only limited to public blockchain like how bitcoin do, blockchain can also limit to private or even hybrid. Like how I know some ICO about blockchain on medicals are indicating that the person like doctors, nurse can have the permission to access your medical data, so no matter where you are, your medical record is still one and comprehensive.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most? on: July 10, 2018, 04:14:38 AM
For me I depend on the team activeness. Reviewing their team and advisors profile is also an important factor, I always appreciate those ICOs that spending their time for roadshow, for introducing their project, to get themselves involve to different blockchain conference, sharing and updates on social media platform. This is easy but also take times for effort to build up the network and to see the teams' willingness to learn and to share.

Second is the road map and third is the whitepaper. As long as it can convince me, and no duplication or plagiarism from other projects, i think I am willing to get involve to their crowdsale.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is the best way to tell a fake ICO on: July 09, 2018, 04:13:42 AM
I know some fake ICOs are like copying other existing projects' whitepaper, or just modifying how they express but the concept and outcome are actually similar.
Be careful and to make research if there are any similar projects, and how the whitepaper can convince you.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain Technology for Newbies on: July 03, 2018, 03:49:03 AM
A good explanation here! Would like to ask more about what is the role of cryptocurrencies here is involved? I mean, is cryptocurrencies / such a token represents a transaction or say buy using $ involved in the blockchain to avoid huge number of transactions or ensure its security?
14  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How does blockchain technology on real world service work? on: June 29, 2018, 04:11:00 AM

Bitcoin can definitely change how logistics are handled. But why would you want to make it decentralised? I wouldn't like shipping information or anything that I order on a public chain to be honest.Arent all the supply chain companies centralised already? What benefits would implementing blockchain bring? The supply chain will remain centralised anyway.
[/quote]

True, that is also the concern about if my shipping information is to be public, then my privacy might lost, like going which location = disclosing my home address / some people might know when does the government / army department delivering any dangerous good from and at what time, which might cause crime there too.
As I have made some research these days, I know that public chain may only applicable on some, as agreed from the above comment, the access of data might not be fully being public, it can be hybrid, required special permission. Then under this, what is the different between a decentralised blockchain and a centralised database? Does replacing by blockchain really help improving the logistics?
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trust you trading experience and don't panic on: June 28, 2018, 02:50:51 AM
True, I do not think there is any other things that win experience which can give yourself the best review no matter your experience is good or bad. Trading is not a very stable activity, we can never tell when I trade without any risk, when to trade so i can gain a great profit. Do not panic, but you should also spend reasonable amount of capital for trading, trading cannot let your revenue gain in a stable manner, do not put all you having to trade and hope for very large amount of profits.
16  Bitcoin / Project Development / How does blockchain technology on real world service work? on: June 27, 2018, 10:37:19 AM
How does the blockchain technology apply to the real world service? If I would like to have a blockchain technology on a supply chain service, which means under this technology, each block contains all the logistics information like storing a transaction from Singapore to Hong Kong right? So then it is just act like a database but just public can view it? then why should I necessary to develop such a service on blockchain but not continue using centralized database technology, only allow permission for beneficial stakeholders?

Please correct me as I am having a very messy concept on this topic right now.... Thank you~!
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ICO on: June 22, 2018, 03:36:35 AM
The main ICOs platform I use is the ICO drops and ICO hotlist, but as I know there are still many ICOs platform, while if any team has created an ICO project and ready to launch for presale / crowdsale, they will usually put a submission to the site. I am not sure how the platform would determine whether the ICOs are scam or not before they post it. So you may actually see not every platform would have the same ICO project, or a ICO project would not be displaying in every platform. That is the reason for me to use icodrops and icohotlist as I think their information are clear and trustworthy. It definitely takes time for you to experience more from different sites, while you may also think other platforms suits you too.

How I review an ICO, I do not only depend on the ranking or rate given by the ICO platform, I have some criteria
1. White paper , by viewing the content, how this ICO projects is trying to contribute, by any feasible method, any analysis, any reasonable prediction and actions
2. The team: not only the team and advisory profile, but also check how they contribute in their social media network, like the telegram group(no. of followers, how they interact, what are they posting), facebook, medium, twitter activities, how do they really know about the market, how do they contribute and trying to give to the potential investors.

I think this effort does affect my judgement to support the ICO or not, even if the project may not be successful might not directly means that the ICO is a scam, but definitely you have to put your own effort and time to investigate more and do not fully rely on any analyst comments.

Welcome to the forum, but the first thing I would like to remind you is do not easily disclose your personal identity and information here, you never know any people would use it for any purpose.

Second, regarding your questions, wondering if what kind of method you are using to learn about blockchain and cryptocurrencies? In my opinion, I am very much encouraging people to understand what is the field working on, rather than simply focusing on the trading only. Currently, blockchain is already developed in a rapid speed, where it is enhancing our world economy and improving different needs and technology all around us.

Here is the way how i study about this field and where have solved many of my enquiry.
1) news --> the most useful way because you can never know what kind of information you have to know, there is not any syllabus to study on. From news, you may encounter some terms you do not understand, jot it down and to explore more online, there are definitely sufficient of sharing like Medium / github where you can get the answers from. You should be active to learn and ask
2) forums: reddits, twitter, bitcointalk are also the very main platform I get information from
3) online free course: a number of free online course / topics / tutorial are simply and good for learning also in Youtube Channels.

There are a lot more to learn from, keep going!
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Where I can get merit easily? on: June 20, 2018, 02:53:41 AM
Even if I tried to contribute answers and suggestions in other topics, it is very hard to gain merit. Which topics require quality answers and comments while people really willing to give out merit?
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recommendations for newbies on: June 19, 2018, 02:56:31 AM
Welcome to the family!
I think do not focus too much on the trading part first, you should understand why bitcoin and other altcoins are existing, on a what purpose and reason people are willing for trade for any particular coin, how new coins are born. There are an array of new and interesting things for you to explore more about cryptocurrencies and blockchain. Read News about crypto everyday while right now there are already many existing apps/websites mainly focus on cryptocurrencies field. Other than the value of the coin but the regulations are also fluctuating everyday. Search for more when you encounter any terms you had never seen or do not understand. This is the way for efficient learning!
Do not hesitate and give up:)
