961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Emmanuel Navarette - Aug 12 on: July 24, 2023, 11:14:12 PM
I know that there are 3 great fights this week.

However, next month, this is going to be one of the most anticipated much. And as you guys says, 2 Mexican in the ring? that's going to be as entertaining fight that we can see.

So far the odds are still Valdez the favourite at 1.57 and then Navarette not that far at 2.26.

Maybe we can see some changes later in the odds are the fight gets close and those fans putting their bets in.

965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Michael Saylor a modern apostle like Peter and Paul? on: July 23, 2023, 11:10:11 PM
If Bitcoin were to replace the current global financial system and achieve widespread adoption as a decentralized and reliable store of value, some enthusiasts might see Michael Saylor as a visionary or a pivotal figure. Similar to how Peter and Paul played crucial roles in spreading the teachings of Christianity, Saylor's active promotion and strategic investment in Bitcoin could be viewed as instrumental in driving its adoption.

As much as we love to see Bitcoin becoming a world currency or even a reserved, it might not happen. I mean countries or the global reserves should at least be not as volatile as Bitcoin. And with that alone, it totally eliminates Bitcoin or even the rest of crypto to become a reserved, sorry to burst the bubble for you.

The analogy suggests that just as the apostles were significant in the establishment and spread of Christianity, Saylor's dedication to advocating for Bitcoin and integrating it into his business strategies could be perceived as foundational for a potential future financial paradigm.

discuss

Saylor just so happen to be one of the biggest investors, nothing more, nothing less. Just like the rest of us here, average joe can be called apostle right? But that is not the case, Saylor is just like the rest of us. We shouldn't treat him like above us or even compare him to the apostles.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 23, 2023, 10:51:42 PM
If I'm not mistaken, there's not much change in the odds in the last week or so. Meaning those who back up Santiago has already place their bets, big whales and ordinary gamblers just like the rest of us. Same in the case of Donaire though, so the betting has unwind already and maybe they are just waiting for the fight to happen.

But there could be late bets, those undecided, or maybe they are on the Donaire bandwagon, but haven't made their mind yet to go for a knockout or decision bet for Nonito. Personally, I haven't bet as well, but for sure I will go with Donaire here to win.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2023, 10:31:37 PM
George Kambosos will be back in action,

https://www.boxingscene.com/photos-george-kambosos-maxi-hughes-set-showdown-shawnee--176323

So after losing all his belts to Haney, Kambosos is back against Maxi Hughes tonight. This is going to be a comeback fight for him so let's see if Maxi will be a good tune up fight or George doesn't have it anymore.

But I expect George to win in the later rounds by stoppage. Maxi is 3:1 underdog.

Kambosos won the fight, but I was personally unimpressed on how he fight and it seems he was gifted with this win. Even after Kambosos won, and in his interview i the ring, you can hear the boos in the background.

But he justify that there are close rounds and he could have been favored by the judges. However, as we say, a win is a win, so Kambosos got lucky and so his career continues again with Top Rank.

It's funny though that the commentator has said that Joseph Mason should be in the Christmas list for George Kambosos for that 117-111 score hehe. I expect that this would be tough for Kambosos because like Maxi, he has not fought any big name expect for Teo Lopez. Even before the fight, Kambosos has been calling out Davis which i think a disastrous move because Davis not like Teo but i think a wise move money-wise as this might be a retirement fight for him.

Congrats to those who bet for George but that was not a juicy odds, if my memory serves me right, it was 1.61 for George to win by Decision.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the fight live so I haven't had my unofficial scorecards, hehehe. But as per the judges, 114-114, 115-113, 117-111 for Kambosos. So it's really very close and there are a huge uproar in this fight as majority says that Hughes was robbed.

But as we know in boxing, if the rounds are very close, most likely the judges are going to give the score to the name fighters. And with corruption prevalent in boxing, you just have to ask if this boxers specially Mason who scored it 117-116 might be in the payroll from Bob Arum and Kambosos is with Top Rank. So another conspiracies that we don't have proof.  Grin
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 23, 2023, 10:20:05 PM
People are not aware of the inflation I suppose. Players like Jaylen Brown get the biggest contracts because that's the first one, you are going to see a lot more players get these type of contracts after this one because we are seeing inflation, the amount of profit the teams make versus the max contract they can give changes, and that means more and more money for the players.

I understand the logic that we are seeing bigger than ever contracts, but Mozgov made more money in 2016 contract than Micheal Jordan ever did, this doesn't mean Mozgov was better player, hell Lakers barely used him back then, it just means inflation is real and amounts increase all the time. We will see 300-400-500 millions in the future easily.

And speaking of that, also one reason why we really can't compare era's. For sure if Jordan is playing in this generation as a Chicago Bulls, he could have been worth $100 million++ in this career.

So if ever Jaylen Brown makes $300 million in the next couple of years, we might see huge jump as high as $500 million. As long as franchise are willing to shell out this huge money in exchange of entertainment, and in the business side they are going to make money, then why not?
969  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: July 23, 2023, 09:36:59 PM
Bitcoin started 2023 with a positive move, leaving behind all the FUD of 2022 as Bitcoin crossed the $30000 level. We may see another mini bull market in Bitcoin very soon until the next halving. Bitcoin's next move in 2023 is still difficult to predict as Bitcoin is yet to break a strong resistance. My expectation is that if Bitcoin can break this $31000 resistance then Bitcoin can go to $40000 or even $50000. But it all depends on how the market reacts and what plans the whale traders have.

Therefore, we hope that no new FUD will be created in the coming months of this year, so that it does not create a negative effect on the market and the momentum of the market is not lost.

True, on the month of January alone, we have like 40%++ increased, and if we look at the last bottom price of $15,500, we already have doubled that in 2023. So everything looks good for us at $30k'ish right now and with like 5 months to go, we might be looking at $40k-$50k at the end of the month.

Of course, there could be FUD and negative news still, but I do hope that there will be no black swan events like last year. So we should remain calm and continue to accumulate as much as we can. So that when the bull run comes, we are all set and just waiting for a new all time high or at least close to it, before selling our stash.
970  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: July 23, 2023, 09:15:15 PM
Kai Sotto ‘fully expected’ to join Gilas’ World Cup buildup

971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Indonesia National Exchange Open in the end of July 2023, Is bullish Start? on: July 22, 2023, 11:07:35 PM
Good news for the Indonesian crypto community! After the launch they wont need to use International exchange. The question is whether the government would be able to manage a cryptocurrency exchange. They as in the government would be able to track all transactions after the launch. Which I feel might be the reason they are launching a government control exchange. I assume after the launch we will be able to know the pros and cons of trading on it. I do not think this news would cause a bull run. The simple reason being Indonesia does not have a powerful currency like US & China.

I think that is there goal here, all transactions are going to their local exchanges, so they can track everyone. So there might be pros and cons here as we might like it to be more of a exchanges that the government doesn't own.

Similar to us neighbours, the Philippines, we have exchanges but it's not government control. But just like other exchanges it's is mandated by our local crypto regulators. In any case we will see the effect on Indonesia, they are already huge in crypto space and perhaps they will grow tremendously not just in Asia but globally.
972  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $120k next year - by Robert Kiyosaki on: July 22, 2023, 10:50:24 PM
in my opinion Robert Kiyosaki's comment seemed like a comment coming from someone who hates the dollar and that because of that he is encouraging people to buy gold and silver, but see that he did not encourage people to buy bitcoin, he just spoke that bitcoin price will be 120000$ next year.

I understand.
Probably used the term "bitcoin" to get more attention.

It seems like those news, which are talking about some cryptocurrency - which only serves to deceive people, and the last paragraph is always talking about Bitcoin. Clearly it's to attract clicks.

I’ll admit when I saw Robert Kiyosaki in the news making crazy comments about the dollar and wild predictions about Bitcoin, my first thought was that he must be ready to release a new book. He’s sort of like Jim Cramer in that he’s an entertainer first and an economist second. Sadly, as a finance author being a character is the best way to sell books.

But whether you are a fan or not, $120k seems to be on target for our next bitcoin all time high isn't it? And with that, it put more credibility for Robert if the price is going to hit around that window and many thinks that he has knowledge about the crypto market, (but we admit that he might be a good financial adviser, economist, but perhaps crypto could be new to him).

So it's a win win for him, to attract new generations for his book and maybe in the next books that he is going to released. And then if the price hits then maybe others says that Robert has foresight and everything he advises is 100% pure profit.
973  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC appeals XRP ruling on: July 22, 2023, 10:30:09 PM
Lol, the irony of it, SEC is the way making an appeal. Not sure though, it has set precedence already, so I'm hoping that it won't be overturn or something because if it did then something is wrong with the US Law here.

Of course they have the right to appeal, but I guess the first ruling will stick and I'm not seeing that Gary will get any attentions with this appeal. It's done already, Ripple is not a security.
974  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: July 22, 2023, 10:18:45 PM
The easy access to these loans by anyone irrespective of their employment status who has an electronic device with an internet connection is what drives people to collect loans. I have researched on this subject matter extensively and found out that even the Buy Now Pay Later craze is part of the loan problem.

In countries where they have these loan sharks organizations, the government must step in to protect here citizens. I do not like loans and despite that I have been forced as my last resort to take out loans onces and it one other worse periods of my life.

Yeah, everything is online know so the attraction is there even for those people who are not in dire need of money. Maybe they will bite on the promotion and borrow some money and then later on regrets doing that.

I've known several people locally here who have been entrapped by this loan sharks and they are harassing them. And the only way is to really pay them. But the problem is that if you don't have the money. So hopefully there will be laws to help this people who fall for this loan sharks and online or offline loans. We don't like to hear news that people taking their lives because they are stressed from all the the daily harassments.

976  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Evolution Gaming - Live Casino Lounge on: July 22, 2023, 09:52:56 PM

Bar=Coin Flip, Disco=Pachinko at yung Stayin Alive at VIP = Cash Hunt at Crazy time.

Not worth it talaga yung mga bagong game ng evolution.

977  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your bitcoin May/June price analysis? on: July 21, 2023, 09:51:54 PM
I think market will pump soon. Many good news coming. So uptrend situation seeing. It seems that bitcoin price will touch $40k within 1/2 month. I believe that who are bought bitcoin in $16k-$20k they are lucky. Because they are already profited near about 2x. I also bought small amount of bitcoin now i am also profited. When bitcoin price will touch $36k then my profit will 2x.
I doubt bitcoin will touch $40k in 1/2 month from your forecast because reaching $40k price should support some big news factors to influence market bullish, but I predict at least late year or early next year for stable price of $40k but nothing is impossible for crypto market to reach any price if dominant buying demand increases under certain conditions.

You are a wise investor in terms of managing funds for investment because many other investors have invested at the highest prices because they do not have a strategy of investing in bitcoin at the lowest prices using reserve funds, you are very lucky to have had bitcoin investments for almost 2x profits and if the market has a bullish market opportunity, profits will increase.

We indeed have reach $31k, unfortunately, it didn't have that momentum to hold that price. So if we are talking about May/June price as per the title here, it's obvious that we didn't reach $40k.

But short term or at least at the end of the year, it could be doable for us. Maybe as we approach the last quarter of the year, we might be in some bullish sentiments. So I will not be surprised if this price is going to be touch. $40k-$50k but might a good estimates at the end of 2023.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 21, 2023, 09:41:20 PM

Anyway, here is Yordenis Ugas's thought about the upcoming big fight.
Quote
“Fifty-fifty,” Ugas started telling ESNews recently. “Spence is strong, solid, he throws many punches. But Crawford, he’s a smart guy. This fight … 50-50."
https://www.dazn.com/en-US/news/boxing/how-does-yordenis-ugas-see-errol-spence-jr-vs-terence-crawford-going/ugdfdbjzevj212kb1uhbepl7j
I am with him on this analysis. I cannot even tell who will win this match because both have their strengths. If this goes at a longer fight, Spence might win it because of the number of punches that he will throw. Crawford on the other hand would need to be aggressive to avoid that. Sure he is smart, but judges might see it differently and might rely on the number of thrown punches.

Many experts are divided on this fight, it could go either way and it will go to who wants it most, I'm sure their corners have scouted each other to see something that will give them an edge, this is going to be a very technical fight because both fighters carry the same skill, power and ring generalship boxing fans will not going to miss the fight, only two days, my excitement is double because one of the fighter I admire is fighting on their undercard which is Donaire, I expect both fighters to go for knock out but if the fight is too close the championship rounds could decide the fight

Yes, they are still undecided because they know it can go either way, 50/50. Both are great fighters, undefeated, have great trainers as well. So it's going to be very difficult to predict although Crawford remains the favourite in this fight.

Spence though will be the bigger guy and for me he could be the stronger fighter as well. Nevertheless, Crawford is used to be the smaller man but he has boxing IQ and can adjust during the middle of the fight. So we will see, hype is building up slowly here and we will have close to a week before the fight.
979  Local / Pamilihan / Re: BloomX.App closing on: July 21, 2023, 09:28:51 PM

But this time talaga for long term.

980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gaining more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 20, 2023, 10:00:13 PM
In the world to day gambling is leading instead of BitcoinBTC (crypto currency) and more are still wanting to join gambling because the minimum age to gamble is 18+ and lot of upcomings are waiting and this is the total amount of gamblers, so let's talk about the crypto currency (Bitcoin) we all know that Bitcoin is a good investment and it has changed a lot in the crypto world but the interesting part is that the numbers of Bitcoin investors can't be compared to gamble and my question is Why? or  is the risk involved in Bitcoin higher than gambling risk?
Just chesk this source

It's because gambling bring a different feeling to individuals, there is adrenaline that you feel in the body when you play especially if you are winning big. And obviously gambling has been with humans ever since so it's like it is engrain to us whether we like it or not. And there are individuals who like to have quick money, so instead of investing and having this kind of waiting game for bitcoin like when is the next bull run to make huge profits etc, they will just throw their money on gambling. Maybe there are gamblers here who plays and then invest on BTC at the same time.
