1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom Ultima Version Development Thread on: August 07, 2015, 04:51:10 PM
Dear Professor,

As can be seen from the thread title, this is a development environment. We are using agile+scrum methodology, which is the reason that stuff normally confined to the devs only in their offline systems, are now visible to the whole community (and everyone) online. The community input and testing forms a very important boost enabling to get it done fast and right.  Smiley

lol 'agile+scrum'

Don't use buzzwords you don't understand. This is obviously written by an incompetent amateur and is going to be a nightmare.

I'll leave this here http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2015/Mar/16

#0 /var/www/html/releases/20150806130045/vendor/j4mie/idiorm/idiorm.php(255): PDO->__construct('mysql:host=loca...', 'root', 'VKBC8y07dy', NULL)

PDO->__construct('mysql:host=loca...', 'root', 'VKBC8y07dy', NULL)

'root', 'VKBC8y07dy'

VKBC8y07dy

Maybe you need to let professionals do this instead of some amateur who doesn't know what he's doing. Letting a web application use root access to mysql is stupid but revealing the password in your public error trace is just messed up. You guys are going to lose everyone's money, mtgox 2.0
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Counterparty vs Open Assets vs Colored Coins. Which should we use? on: June 09, 2015, 01:29:57 PM
Open Assets seems to be the protocol of choice, that's what Overstock has chosen to go with.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Cryptocoin Site is most reliable on: June 09, 2015, 01:28:13 PM
The problem with CoinMarketCap is it gives you such a limited view on the coin. I can launch an altcoin with a very fast distribution, fake-trade it on one exchange, and be right up there at the top. It's better to use a site like CoinGecko that gives you a more complete picture: https://www.coingecko.com
5  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Blockchain download speed singularity on: May 20, 2015, 08:59:19 AM
This is a stupid question but could BitCoin try and Implement Miniature Blockchain Technology and Start PoS and Relaunch because the of following issues:

- Loss of Innovation
- UNIX Timestamp Issue (32 Bit Integers)
- PoW is Boring.....
- Could be Easily Traced....
- Feeless Transactions...........

PoW is boring but it's also secure. PoS is not. What you're asking is like someone saying "AES encryption is boring, let's switch to ROT13"

Don't invest in anything unless you know what you're doing. If you want Bitcoin, just take $50 a month from your salary and buy some Bitcoin. Don't sell any of it.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Conflicts of Interest at the Bitcoin Foundation on: May 07, 2015, 08:25:05 AM
Why is this even a surprise. They have openly welcomed that shitbag Brock Pierce into the foundation, letting him call himself the godfather of bitcoin. The foundation is a joke and they deserve to just die off.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cryptography. on: April 11, 2015, 09:40:41 PM
There have been enough computer scientists and researchers that have looked over Bitcoin's theory and cryptography and code in the past 6 years. If it was a problem they would've said something already :-)

10  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you assume Satoshi was a Male? on: April 11, 2015, 09:19:27 PM
No, there are some ridiculous conspiracy theorists that think Satoshi is a front for a secret NSA project, but everyone knows Satoshi is really a front for a secret CIA project.

No no no, the NSA is a front for a secret CIA project which is a front for a secrete Satoshi project which is a front for an alien invasion.

All the woman i know and met stay far away from any crypto industry and probably never will use it.
They do not want to hashle with the trade fiat to whatever, or go whatever exchange to get coins.
All say its a hype and much to complicated and too much criminality going on, it has not come closer for them one bit.
They do not trade on the other side of the globe, they want it instant and now and near.
Crypto has nothing to offer them what they do not have now, ideal/bankcards work easier and faster than any crypto solution.
And i kinda must agree with them after so many years in crypto, nothing has been accomplished besides the never ending buying hardware for bitcoin mining from mostly shady hardware vendors.
Yes you can buy some things with btc, but if you look at the shops do you see a bitcoin accepted message in any big super market .... no
I asked the group of ladies i know to give a opinion and it basically ended in PFfffffff no way.

Had a great experience on a flight to Vegas, spoke to two flight attendants about Bitcoin. One of them was all hmmmmm, but the other one was genuiely interested and excited!
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: blockchain download on: March 28, 2015, 06:46:57 PM
Using 0.10 it's as fast as BitTorrent, so there's no need to use a bootstrap.
