NEM looks extremely promising, definitely one to watch
|

KennyP when this happened to me, I shut down Nem.
Then I deleted (backup first to be safe) my 'accounts_cache_mainnet.json' which you can find within your C:/users/username/nem/ncc folder.
Then I restarted Nem, and it worked properly.
Give this a try to see if it helps

Try this - completely close down Nem
Navigate to - C:/users/yourpcname/Nem/ncc then delete 'accounts_cache_mainset.json (save it somewhere first just to be safe)
Restart the Nem client
Hopefully it will work now - this keeps happening to me, and this seems to fix things

Nem is definitely the one to watch. The developers have been working hard to make Nem a success, and it looks very promising. Great community too

Sounds great, thank you for all your hard work

I would like to nominate patmast3r for his hard work within the Nem community

I have been running the Nem software successfully for a while now, and wondered - what does the 'Remote Harvesting' do?

Posting here, because I can't fix registration on nemcoin.com forum. The resend authentication link gives this error when I enter my email address and password, leaving "new email" and activation boxes blank: "Please enter a valid email address, ." If I go to log in, it says I need the activation code, but it's not in my email. I had the same problem. I had to re register with a Gmail address - not Hotmail/Outlook. Then you will receive your activation code hopefully

Hi Wonder if you can help.
I have tried to register an account on forum.nemcoin.com.
I didn't receive an activation email, so I can't proceed with logging in. I made sure to check my spam folder.
I get - 'Your email address needs to be validated before you can login' message
Waited for a couple of days, just in case there was a delay, then attempted to re-register (with a different email address) and encounter exactly the same problem.
Advice appreciated
That same thing happened to me. I just tried again with a different email provider. Hotmail wouldn't work. Gmail would. This worked - I had to create a completely new account using a new username, and a Gmail address. Thank you!

I am leaning towards agreeing with everyone that this discussion should probably just be left alone. It seems like there are quite a few who do think we should change the total amount of coins, but I think that decision will ultimately undermine investor confidence, at least in the short-term. Long term, it really could go either way, but I think that the effects would be so minimal that risking short-term investor confidence is too much of a risk for a very minimal long-term gain (if any).
After thinking about it carefully for a significant amount of time since this discussion came about, I have come to the conclusion that the risk to reward ratio for this decision is simply not good enough for me to be able to support any changes.
Stick with the original plan! Yes I agree - stick with the original plan. Seems to me that since our Nem keys were posted (and things started to look serious), this forum has been full of 'distractions' First we had 'what happens to the unclaimed stakes?' Now we have - '4 billion is a superstitious number' Can't help but wonder if these supposed issues are meant to delay or distract the developers from getting on with developing Nem?
