Both transactions seems to be accepted. And DGB's are on output addresses. So I really don't see what the problem is. Maybe if you will be more specific and describe more details we can help you more. Otherwise nothing seems to be wrong with this transactions or at least I don't see the problem.

Couldn't buy in the 0.014 zone, now I'm trying not to FOMO in but the price just doesn't want to stop
That's so Monero predictable for September  Shocked Grin Wink

It seems to me that Monero started losing its popularity several months ago but now, it is popular again. I do really love this safe and fast altcoin, and I will be holding it for long.
I assume it was most popular on January 7th. http://prntscr.com/kqo6mr
I can also assume that it will lose popularity if tomorrow price drops for 10%.
Huh It's actually true and it's sad that it is... This is just a proof for high percentage of speculative investments from people who are chasing quick money (probably not very educated about what they're investing into).

still holding some monero in an ols passphrase (one word missing )  but i am sure there comes a time that it will be worth seeking for the last word to get access to my monero wallet , i have the time
Were you already looking for it in December 2017, January 2018? But now you lost most of the motivation? (almost started looking these days) Smiley
yep , you got me , in the meantime i already found some options for it but with that i also realized myself that it would cost months/years to solve this and all i said was that i believe that there will be a time that it will be worth the time
Cheesy hehe
If you know exact position of word in your passphrase and if this (https://github.com/monero-project/monero/blob/master/src/mnemonics/english.h) still applies then you "only" need about 1625 tries. Smiley You can try once every day and I believe once you will find the right one it will already be worth it. Wink

I am investing few $ every week in Monero (XMR), Ether (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC). And of course the king.

Best ICO so far. Since it is endorsed by BitcoinTalk I know Profit is guaranteed. I am also very glad I got 15% bonus.
"HoweyCoins are officially registered with the U.S. government." This is gold!!! I think this ICO is worth more investing then you can actually afford - take credits, sell houses, stop eating... and invest EVERYTHING in this ICO. GUARANTEED PROFIT

We now see that it is worth keeping a monero only for a long time.
https://bitverzo.com/forecast/monero

What do you think?
Possible prediction - as any other...
I really don't like websites like this. They just made a template in which they can put some data and it looks like deep analysis. Compare Monero analysis to others. Basically same page just different numbers.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spells of Genesis - Innovating the Game Economy with BitCrystals (BCY) on: September 03, 2018, 10:04:36 AM
Can someone send me some links with more info about that board game - à table. I've seen that it is connected with Ethereum blockchain somehow and I am interested to know more about it. And what exactly is your relationship with them?
I think it's great to get blockchain closer to people with physical things and if concept of this game is good it is suitable for presenting of blockchain. Especially if we want quick adaption from older people. I believe next generation won't have doubts trusting computers. Maybe they'll even trust computers more then people.  Huh

Hi,

The website is under construction, it will be soon available, but I have no specific date for the moment sorry.
All news could be find on our Bitcrystals blog here : https://bitcrystals.com/?s=a+table

Furthermore on our social media :
Twitter : https://twitter.com/a_table_game
Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/atableBlockchainGame/

Great, thank you very much.
Seems like that à is doing problems to link. Smiley You can change just change "à" to "a" and it will work fine.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin ATM is incresingly widespread? on: September 03, 2018, 09:48:53 AM
Great post. I didn't know that there are so many bitcoin ATM's already. Good to see this.

About high fees on ATMs. I think they will lower with time and more competition. Nowadays there is still relatively small number of them but imagine having 5 different ATM's in the same street. People will chose the one with the lowest fee.

I've talked to one of the operators of ATM's he said the problem is you constantly need to monitor ATM's for cash in them. Then you need a worker to go there, empty it or fill it (pretty ungrateful job, since you are dealing with relatively big amounts of money). And this whole process can be quite annoying since you can have ATM emptied/full in a day or in couple of weeks. And it's best for ATM's to work 24/7/365 otherwise costumers might be dissatisfied very fast. So this is one disadvantage for operators.

Another one can be overload of blockchain which results in very high fees and operators can quickly start losing money instead of earning.
Example: In December we saw spike in BTC fees, and they went up to 5$ or maybe even more. Now imagine someone who is buying 20€ worth of Bitcoin. 10% (which is relatively high) is 2$. So operator actually lose money.

This company came out with another idea. Selling BTC/crypto OTC on already existing bussineses. Check it out: https://locoins.io/. I think this can spread very fast to, as it is easily scaleable, starting investment is very low even compared to ATM's. Of course it has it's own disadvantages - not 24/7, not 100% anonymous etc.

when digibyte segwit is going to happen and on which exchanges
https://twitter.com/digibytecoin/status/857995712843448320 Digibyte blockchain already supports SegWit. Now it's up to exchanges to update their software/code or whatever you call this. So you must check for every individual exchange if they already support SegWit addresses.
I don't know where to find info which already does. So I guess I'll leave homework to you. Smiley In case of Bitcoin segwit addresses starts with "1" and Legacy adress with "3". And LTC is "M" or "L".

Quote
3. Is my wallet address Legacy or SegWit? How to find out?
If you have Legacy address then it means that you will be using addresses starting form 1… SegWit address means that you will be using addresses starting form 3… or bc1… (one is for P2SH nested SegWit and the other is for native SegWit). Note that 3… addresses are for P2SH addresses in general and are not just for SegWit. bc1… addresses are for SegWit specifically but not all wallets support it yet.

Tried to sell my dgb. But it seems my dgb wallet won't connect to anyone to get it to synch. It just keeps saying 15 months behind for a day now. Is my dgb android wallet app too old to work? Do i need to use the new app? And how do i go about converting my wallet from my device to another device? Do i need the password keys?
I am not aware of this kind of problems but if you have private key/mnemoric seed or JSON file. You can always restore your wallet on another one. You can contact me if you will have troubles. I will answer ASAP if I will know the answer.
Well the app still works on my android tablet. If i make a backup and send it to my computer, could i make sure it works on there? I don't wanna ever put a wallet on my tablet ever again, really annoys me how slow it is and the limited capabilities that android brings with it. Probably gonna throw away the tablet alltogether once i transfer the wallet. It's been nothing but agony. A stupid sluggish birthday present i never even asked for.
I can't answer you on that. Did you get 25 word phrase when setting up a wallet? You can write that seed to any other DGB wallet and you should have the same balance on it.
Don't throw it away, just don't store crypto there. Smiley If you have relatively big amount of money in crypto I advise you to buy Ledger.
You can buy it here https://www.ledger.com?r=fdb5 (disclaimer: I receive few $ if you buy through this link)

what type of computer software/hardware will you need to mine monero? how do you calculate payout? say if mine 24hrs, how many Monero will one get?
Any kind. But you will have different efficient rate depending on suitability of hardware for XMR mining.
Usually with mining calculators. One is here: https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/xmr?HashingPower=100&HashingUnit=H%2Fs&PowerConsumption=0&CostPerkWh=0&MiningPoolFee=1

whats the best way to mine monero? joining mining pool? or independent mining? thanks for the info
I think it is better to join pool yes. Because you get reward if you find block solution or not. So it is more stable income.
You can try solo mining with official Monero GUI. At least you could when I tried few months ago.

You can join this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=653467.1060 -> [XMR] Monero Mining for more explanations.

Yesterday my hard drive died, it had a wallet in 30K DGB, I did not make a backup like a fool, if in the future DGB will have a price of 10 bucks, I will cry.
Sorry to hear that. But I hope you will at least learn something. Always store backup! And safety is number 1 priority in crypto!

176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 02, 2018, 11:58:51 AM
it seems that "emerging" countries with falling fiat currencies are now a good support for crypto markets:

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-08-28/bitcoin-new-safe-haven-trade

"Crypto currencies are attractive to individuals in less developed economies for a few reasons:

Transaction costs are the same as gold.  BTC's higher price volatility is offset by gold's higher conversion fees
Liquidity favors BTC
BTC only requires access to the internet
Easier to transport and hide $20,000 of BTC offsets gold's bulkiness"

this applies to Monero as well.

And I would definitely add independence from governments. We can see what they are doing to their people in Venezuela, Turkey, some of the African countries... People have lost value of years of work in just a few days.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Physical bitcoin - Is this the future? on: August 31, 2018, 02:22:58 PM
No if bitcoin becomes physical then whats the difference between flat and crypto... Everything will be same then... everyone likes online transaction because they are not gonna take any space in our pocket. So better to be digital.
You do know that digital/physical form is not the only difference between cryptocurrencies and FIAT money? If I remember correct 97% of FIAT money is in digital form.
If we would develop good system every physical BTC would be backed by digital BTC hence all properties stay the same. And I hope you know that BTC has limited supply. And this is just one of the many differences between FIAT and cryptocurrencies.

This seems to be a big project, I just came to know it as soon as I got into bitcointalk. , Sorry for the late . What is the purpose of this project, I do not know much about the project, can you explain more? I have known about this project, the project has been supported by everyone, it seems that this project is very reliable and everyone is putting in place for this project, I will join after knowing more And more about this project because this project has taken great steps. Has this project had a meeting or seminar? Has this project been implemented? I'm a newbie so there's nothing wrong you're looking for
Purpose is to create decentralized, privacy focused, strong, fungible, fast, secure currency. If you want to know more check Monero official website: https://getmonero.org/ also https://www.monero.how is very resourceful. (I suggest you to read monero.how tutorials to get a bigger picture of what Monero is trying to do.
There is not a lot of marketing meetings but developers are communicating on several different chats (IRC) and forums (Reddit). All relevant links are on pages I listed above. If you are looking for the "hype" coin don't choose Monero, but if you are looking for currency with a lot of stable development, strong community support you've come to the right place.
Yes, Monero is already implemented and running since 2014.

179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did crypto affect your studies? on: August 31, 2018, 10:41:11 AM
Congrats for managing time good enough for crypto and study!
Unfortunately I don't have same experience as you. I started learning about crypto just at the end of the study. I did managed to make all the tests.
In my country you have to make a final Diploma work (a small research with experiments etc. on subject related to your study) and I still haven't finished it after more then a year. But I am now working on it very actively and I hope I will be able to finish it ASAP.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs bitcoin blockchain for game assets on: August 31, 2018, 10:27:09 AM
I was wandering why most of crypto games (such as cryptokitties etc...) Adopted Ethereum blockchain rather than Bitcoin Blockchain ?
Because Bitcoin blockchain doesn't have smart contracts available (yet). So it is not possible to create a special asset class on Bitcoin blockchain. But I think some people are also working on this, so that Bitcoin would have SC too.

Or it actually is. Counterparty is based on Bitcoin blockchain. And you can own real asset (i.e. cards). A project which is based on Counterparty is Spells of genesis (mobile game) it uses Bitcrystals (BCY) and you can own/trade cards in Book Of Orbs (mobile wallet).
